welcome back... the washoe county school district board of trustees announced it is forming a new oversight committee... for spending on school buildings. as you may know-- the district has been asking for years... for a source of funding to build new schools and ease overcrowding. and this move-- could help them get it. arianna bennett joins us now live from the newsroom with a look at why... ari...? at a public meeting last week for the committee working to raise taxes for school buildings... there was a number of public commenters... who said they were fine with paying a small tax increase... but they were uncomfortable with entrusting that money to the school board. they asked for a third party to manage and oversee that money... and the school board listened. angie: "our facilities people have been tremendous in terms of counting every nickel, watching every dollar, but this
