the standoff at the wildlife refuge in burns oregon is over tonight.. and the hold-outs are all in custody. and michele fiore -- nevada's assemblywoman known for her pro-gun stance -- is being thanked for her role in it all. fiore flew to portland and joined the negotiators there yesterday. this morning she was there when the last of the occupiers surrendered. the f-b-i says she was a big part of ending the whole ordeal. fbi guy:"i can't say enough about the help from the reverend franklin graham and michele fiore." the refuge will remain closed for another few weeks as the f-b-i continues sweeping for weapons and combing through computer files they say they may need for their case against the occupiers. last night the f-b-i also arrested cliven bundy in portland. he faces federal charges

on a federal officer.. and obstruction in connection with his role in a standoff with federal officials near his nevada ranch in 2014. his son ammon bundy led the protesters in oregon until his arrest last month. turning to the crime beat... reno police arrested a suspect in connection with a robbery in stead earlier this week. after a brief standoff... police arrested 39-year-old wesley ford at a stead home last night around midnight. he's charged with robbery with a deadly weapon, grand larceny and possession of stolen property. police say he entered the maverick gas station on stead boulevard early monday morning and showed a handgun before taking money from the clerk. officials now say he was the one involved in an incident tuesday. as police approached his stead home, ford allegedly stole a vehicle and fled from police, resulting in 3 schools being locked down. officers thought the suspect in that incident was 19-year-old rylin wolfe-who lived with ford- but

involved and it was ford all along. this is a photo of wolfe from an unrelated arrest. reno police are also investigating a burglary at the junior achievement offices on tuesday. police say the suspects used rocks to break into the facilty on west 6th street after cutting a chain link fence. the owner of junior achievement says the thieves stole multiple servers... printers and phones. they say the losses totaled thousands of dollars. if you know anything that can help police call or text secret witness at 3-2-2.. 42-hundred. nevada's supreme court is being asked to clarify state laws on self-defense and defense of others-- after its recent reversal of a high-profile murder conviction in a sparks casino shootout between rival biker gangs in 2011. washoe county's district attorney has asked the high court to reconsider its december 31st ruling overturning the conviction of ernesto gonzalez. gonzalez is the ex-president of

who was sentenced in 2013 to up to life in prison. the justices ordered a new trial based partly on the district judge's faulty instructions to the jury that found him guilty of killing jeffrey "jethro" pettigrew, the former president of the hells angels in san jose, california. today a new york city police officer who shot an unarmed man was convicted of manslaughter. officer peter liang's trial has been closely watched by advocates for police accountability. the rookie officer was patrolling a pitch-dark stairwell in an apartment building with his gun drawn in 2014 when he fired. the bullet ricocheted off a wall and hit 28-year-old akai gurley on a lower floor. prosecutors claim liang handled his gun recklessly and did almost nothing to help gurley. liang said he fired by accident after a noise startled him. he acknowledged not helping gurley's girlfriend try to revive him, but explained he

professional medical aid. liang was was dismissed from the police force after the verdict was delivered. thompson: "an innocent man lost his life and a young new york city police officer now stands convicted of manslaughter. there are no winners here, but justice was done. patrolmen's benevolent association president patrick lynch says the verdict was a "bad verdict" that will have a "chilling effect" on officers nationwide. he says 28-year-old akai gurley's death was a tragedy, not a crime. we have an update on a housing development we first told you about in may of last year. the fountainhouse apartment project began construction in september. it will house hundreds of residents in the heart of victorian square. that's where ryan canaday joins us live now with the latest on the development. ryan what can you tell us? ari developers say they are about 20% along in their work.

construction workers are working on the foundation for the buildings. and on this side of the street, they have just completed their first building frame.. with nine more like this one still to come. "hammer" the first apartment building for this 40 million dollar project is making progress...and is expected to come to a completion sometime in june. "it takes about nine months to build a building from ground to finish. these large buildings, there's 22 units in each building, with garages so there's a lot of pieces and parts." but there's still a lot of work that needs to be done. "cement" upon completion..the fountainhouse apartment complex will be home to ten multi family buildings holding 236 units each. we have over 100 people a day working on the job site, it's busy you know everything from underground to framing to mechanicals are going on now."

developers say some of the excitement surrounding this project comes solely from the location. "you know this is kind of a historic area of town, and a lot of old structure that were here once before us." and hunter agrees.. he says he's has noticed an increase of activity in victorian square based on the project's workers alone. "all the lunch sports around victorian square just down the street around the blocks, they're all busy now because there's more people down here. and witt has high hopes that upon the housing development's completion, the final product will bring even more energy to the sparks downtown district. "when we get done with the stores and shops and other ammenities that people are going to want to come back and return to they're going to want to come here to have dinner, see a movie or go across the street to the nugget and see a show." developers say they hope to have construction completed on the entire project by the beginning of next year. covering the story live in sparks, ryan canaday channel two news.

looking around the world... hope is growing for peace in war- torn syria. secretary of state john kerry says major world powers have agreed to a ceasefire -- and to provide immediate aid to the country. kerry told reporters in germany that diplomats are hoping the ceasefire can be fully implemented in just one week. however, the ceasefire does not apply to any terror organization operating in syria. the country has been embroiled in a five-year civil war. stepping in today nato announced it will deploy ships to the aegean sea - in an attempt to stop human trafficking related to the migrant crisis. with more than a million migrants having reached europe in the last year - and more on the way - this decision is the security alliance's first intervention in the crisis. nato chief jens stoltenberg says the mission would not be about "stopping or pushing back

in money watch... it's been two years and one month since the ascuaga family sold the nugget to global gaming and hospitality. and in the next few months -- the property will change hands again. the current owners say they had no intention of selling the nugget -- but marnell gaming made an offer that made sense to them. the group owns two resorts in laughlin -- where it has invested about 70-million dollars in the last decade. the company's chairman says he'll do the same here -- with plans to renovate 800 hotel rooms in the west tower -- as well as the convention area, casino and showroom. marnell "we don't anticipate a lot of quick moves. this is long term. anybody, i think, that knows us, we don't sell much. we're usually buying things or building things." about 13-hundred people work at the nugget, and marnell says the change of ownership won't affect any of them. also in money watch-- uber says it will pay $28.5 million to settle two lawsuits claiming the ride- hailing firm mis led customers about its safety procedures and fees.
