campus calling for no business as usual to bring attention to what they call unpunished killings of black and brown people. the group is gathering for what will be an hour-long protest at sprawl plaza on the berkeley campus. they will then move to 14th and broadway in oakland at 1:00 p.m. concurrent protests are planned in stockton and san francisco. this is coordinated with a national day of action. organizers say it's time to hold police accountable. >> people need to stand up. if we don't do anything about it, it's gonna continue to get worse. if we stand up and fight back, we can vote up the strength to put an end to it. >> reporter: the protest over the killing of michael brown in ferguson last august is what many here say got them to protest for the first time ever. you may remember the protests over the ferguson incident spread nationwide. some say the movement should be careful not to accuse all

surrendered to deputies. investigators say he thought he was holding a stun gun, not his handgun when he shot eric harris. harris was running from police in a sting operation in which officers say he tried to sell a gun to an undercover officer. the deputy was heard on video saying i shot him. i'm sorry. ifth canned, he coulder is -- if convicted, he could serve up to four years in prison. today san jose is expected to test a program to give police officers body cameras. a police audit calls for more transparency within the department. the auditor said last year the san jose department received 340 complaints. complaints would drop along with police of use when cameras are implemented. mayor liccardo supports the program. >> if we can move faster, i think we should. i think we know there's been concerns nationwide around kittibility issues -- accountability issues. >> if approved, it would start

with about a dozen officers. two men are behind bars this afternoon in marin county after leading police on a dangerous high-speed chase in a stolennen -- stolen car. the chase started with a a -- the chase started with a case of road rage. >> reporter: the toyota black solara reached dangerous speeds going 100 miles an hour between center and fairfax before the driver lost control on a curve and plowed into a parked car. >> sounded like a bomb went off out here. >> reporter: the impact woke up adrian wuker who watched as -- walker who watched as officers use k-9s to help him. he was eventually caught hiding out in a yard, an unusual scene in this part of marin. >> no, it doesn't matter here. it's super quiet. it was quite a shock. wasn't expecting to see anything like that. >> reporter: it turns out the parked car that was damaged during this wild pursuit was a

rental. the woman who had just used it for a trip. she was confused when she came outside to look for it this morning. >> the car was towed away during the investigation. >> i came out to get the rental car to take my my brother to the airport. it's not here. hopefully it will be okay. >> reporter: during this pursuit, the wanted driver blew through stop signs and barreled downs are decks streets putting a lot of -- residential streets putting a lot of people at risk. >> could have easily drove in a home where people are sleeping or someone walking in the downtown area. we're glad no one was injured, including ourselves. >> reporter: the car involved in this chase was reported stolen around 11:00 last night in a rural part of west marin. it started with road rage. the owner of the toyota so law

row apparently -- so solaro -- solaro apparently got into a dispute. when the woman stopped to check on the two men in the honda, one of those men hopped into her car and drove off. the second man ran off on his own. both of those men were arrested. the car they were riding in was stolen as well. alex savidge, ktvu channel 2 news. the san pablo police officer set to appear in court on criminal charges involving drugs, a gun and child. the 32-year-old officer ken nicket white was arrested last wednesday after police received a tip. a plain clothes officer witnessed him buying drugs and they say there was a little girl in the car. >> there was a 2-year-old child in the vehicle at the time of the transaction. >> the officer was on paid
