water before you use it. there's sediment in the water from a construction project at the betasso water treatment facility. the city of boulder says its gotten reports of cloudy drinking water. they recommend letting running the water until un clear.... if the water doesn't clear in the first flush.... wait 30 minutes and try again. as a precaution--don't drink the water until it looks clear. 75 firefighters did their best to protect dozens of apartments and the people who called them home. they got all the people out safely- but the building and belongings inside didn't fare as well. 9news reporter jessica oh is live at the reserve at hunters run apartments in arapahoe county... jeccisa- there's a lot of cleanup and rebuilding to start

and on her school bus... friends and family remembered adams 12 bus driver last night... after she died in a bus crash at the airport a little over a week ago. funeral services for kari chopper were at crossroads church in thornton. chopper had four children- and a husband of 23 years. he said- she looked after every single kid on the bus like her own. she was driving

legacy high school football team - when the bus crashed into a pillar at dia. the coaches were in the hospital for days- more than a dozen students also had minor injuries. the cause of the bus crash is still under investigation- her husband says chopper was always on top of even the smallest problems with her bus. chju this summer... it's required to keep driving for the adams 12 school district. one of the legacy high school coaches is still in the hospital- the others are recovering at home.

security guard for saving others... and will not be filing any charges against them. the detective and guard were involved in a fight and shooting downtown in july. investigators say security guard edwin montoya used pepper spray to break up a fight... between two men. he called for help from detective randall wagner--who was working nearby. that's when one of the suspects started shooting into a crowd. wagner and montoya returned fire--hitting both of the suspects.... they survived. the man accused in the bomings in new york and new jersey is now facing attempted murder charges. he is not talking to investigators. he won't even give them his name. ahmad rahami was hurt in a gun battle with new jersey police when he was found sleeping in a bar doorway monday morning. rahami is facing five counts of attempted murder of a police officer because of the shoot-out. two linden police officers were shot... they survived. federal charges in the bombings have yet to be filed. police say rahami planted the explosives in chelsea in

jersey. 29 people were hurt in the chelsea blast. tulsa's police department is facing a federal investigation... after a video camera caught officers shooting an african american man .. while the suspect had his hands in the air. we have the recording of the moments leading up to the shooting... we want to warn you it is graphic. you can see police responding to the scene... in this video from a helicopter. police were responding to an abandoned car in the middle of the road t crutcher. they say crutcher, didn't respond to any police commands. officers are heard on police scanners saying crutcher wouldn't show them his hands... that's when an officer shot him. but you can see from multiple angles- his hands were up. crutcher is a father of four... the officer who shot him is on administrative leave. the justice department has been called in to investigate. the part time officer who shot and killed a suspect during a stabbing attack in a minnesota mall was

police are calling him a hero today- for stepping in when he did. jason falconer was shopping at the mall in saint cloud when the attack happened. the attacker stabbed nine people before turning towards falconer. the fbi is investigating the attack as a possible terrorist act. former president george h-w bush says he's retired frmo politics... but does that mean he can switch

president george h-w bush as... likely to vote for democrat hillary clinton. take a second to wrap your head around that statement. kathleen hartington kennedy townsend met with the former president last night... afterward usa today reports she posted on facebook he would be voting for hillary. politico and the guardian are citing the facebook post- but her facebook settings are on private so it's not immediately verifiable. the bush family has been pretty quiet

attended the republican national convention when donald trump was nominated. both former bush presidents have said they will not endorse trump. today- president obama will make his last appearance at the united nations general assembly as president. he will deliver his eighth and final speech- with a focus on refugees. there are more than 65 million people displaced from their homes around the world right now. other topics expected to come up at the u-n over the next few days include syria and attacks. the u-n meetings last through september 26th. thousands of refugees had to run from their temporary homes on the greek island of lesbos ... a large fire swept through this refugee camp monday. more than four thousand people were evacuated. no injuries were reported from the fire but tents and housing unites were destroyed. police are looking into the possibility that some of the people living there

gouging at the pump across the southeast today. a pipeline is leaking in alabama... making gas supply low in several states. north carolina's attorney general is urging people to report unreasonably high prices... after some stations reportedly started selling gas for nearly six dollars a gallon. some gas stations have shut down completely. alabama's governor is less worried about price gouging... prices there went up about 20 cents over the weekend- but he says that's not unusual. he also praised the pipeline company for a fast response to the leak. the pipeline spilled gas into a retention pond... but crews say the contaminants didn't make it into a nearby river.

need to at the gas pump- . triple a says some people are paying for premium gas when their cars don't need it. the automobile club says- premium gas won't help your horsepower or fuel economy. it also doesn't reduce emissions or keep your engine cleaner and better than regular gas. triple a says u-s drivers spent more than two billion dollars more than they needed to last year- because they were buying unnecessary premium gas. the obama administration wants the federal government to have control of driverless cars. historically- states set the rules for drivers through licensing. but with no driver behind the wheel a computer would take over... and the white house says that's federal jurisdiction. we're expecting more information on the plan to regulate the autopilot vehicles

service sometimes means leaving your safety bubble... but a new company is trying to expand the safety bubble for kids and other people looking for a secure escort to their destination. it's called bubbl. the ride sharing company hires retired and off duty police officers to give people a ride. they only work within a small area right now- their safe bubble. the company uses the slogan "driven by blue." the service lets

up in a car owned by the company. it's a way to give the kids a police escort on the way to soccer practice... or a safe trip for anyone looking for some extra security. it could be a little pricier than other services like uber or lyft... depending on how far you go. it's a flat fee of 15 dollars for adults and 17 for kids. no word if the company will operate in colorado. the big 5-0 is a big deal... even for a tortoise. a galapagos tortoise at australia's perth zoo celebrated his 50th birthday... he got a special birthday cake made form some of his favorite fruits like watermalon, strawberries, kiwi and pumpkin. the tortoise was born at the san diego zoo- but moved to australia in 2005. according to the zoo, there are about 20-thousand galapagos
