thanks for joining us for your only local news at 5:30. let's get you up to date with the latest local headlines. the use of video cameras among motorists is becoming more and more popular - and its not just for recreational use. fox5's abby theodros joins us live in the studio with more on the trend here you can see an instance of road rage that has gone viral. a man pulls a gun out on a group of bikers and it was all caught on camera. according to motor cycle professionals at "ride now" the use of cameras are becoming increasingly more common among motorists who want to protect themselves in the instance that they have an altercation on the road. they also say the cameras have become more user friendly and affordable which has likely played a role in the popularity of the product.

relocated dispatchers and rerouted calls to henderson and north las vegas's centers - responses were delayed. they got it up and running again after 6 hours. the new system was installed after their old one crashed last summer - also for six hours because of a switch failure. this time -they believe it was a system failure. "where do we stand now were continuing to analyze the root cause of the problem weve put additional monitoring protocols in place so we can ensure this does not occur again and we have increased the amount of technical staff on hand until a cause can be determined so solutions can be put into place for permanent." during the shut down last summer - metro missed 4 hundred emergency calls. they are still calculating how many calls came in during the 6 hour period yesterday. another thing that metro is working on - a back up dispatch center in the enterprise area that should be ready to go by march. so they can take over should another 911

the first super bowl volunteers to check out his official uniform. (larry jacobson/ member, "never miss a super bowl" club) "i'm ready to get to work right now." larry is spending this week helping tourists find their way around san francisco, but sunday he'll be at levi's stadium watching the game with a very exclusive club. (reporter) "how many original members of the "never miss a super bowl?" (larry jacobson/ member, "never miss a super bowl" club) "we had five, now we're down to three." jacobson started as a die-hard san francisco 49ers fan. he's had season tickets for 63 years. then, in 1967 he decided to take a date to los angeles to see the first super bowl. (jacobson) "it was a $100 investment including tickets and airfare and rent a car and food, but she wasn't impressed with football and she wasn't impressed with me." jacobson gave up on the woman, but not the game and he developed a special talent. (jacobson) "as anybody who knows me knows, i don't know a thing about football, i know how to get tickets, so that's my thing." 50 years later jacobson's house is full of super bowl memorabilia.
