he's also got a national following after starring in a 10 episode hulu documentary called behind the mask. and he's done all of it knowing he had an added danger. jersey: i was born with epilepsy. so really it's taking a chance being in stressful atmospheres that that could bring on an episode. there has only been one episode - and we were there - at a unlv kids event beofre a runnin' rebels game in 2011. hey reb hit the deck....and people soon realized it wasn't part of an act....goldman had a seizure. jersey: i was so excited to be surrounded by 2500 kids and parents on a day where that might not happen that i came out of that elevator so excited. apparantly my brain couldn't take it. he missed only that night's game but was right back in action after that...adding everything from shooting off fireworks at mid court....to crowd surfing the student section.

you just have faith that those people are gonna carry you all the way up. the hey reb bar has been raised - but goldman's time as hey reb is over. it's time for the torch to be passed...but he wants to make sure his successors don't drop the ball - because the fans deserve a complete game experience. jersey: if i can come to every game and put one smile on someobdy's face, it's been successful. it's been a successful day. a smile....a giggle....a part of the game that is often overlooked. hey reb may be representing the best university in nevada....but it will always have a little jersey in him. you can see hey reb and the runnin' rebels in action tomorrow night when they take on colorado state at 7 o'clock. and don't forget the rebzone coaches show sunday night at 11.
