over to fox5vegas dot com and click on elections under the news tab. a teenage motorcyclist is dead... after it collides with another vehicle. but police say both the driver and motoryclists are at fault. this happened around eight tonight on washington and michael way. they say the 19 year old bike rider didn't have a motorcycle license. and the 18 year old was driving with an instruction permit and no one in the car with him. "had they been doing what they were supposed to be doing, not driving in cars without people and not riding a motorcycle had they shouldv'e been we wouldn't be here today." police say the driver of the vehicle... was pulling out from a stop sign... when the motorcyclist drove up. they both collided. the motorcyclists was taken to umc where he died. the other driver stayed on scene. it doesn't appear alcohol was a factor... but police are still looking into whether speed was a factor.

deadly crash involving a pedestrian. police say a pickup hit the person... between reno and tropicana... that's near eastern. that pedestrian was taken to sunrise hospital... and died. its not known if the pedestrian was in a crosswalk at the time of the crash. a seven year old murder mystery gets new life... aric brill was shot and killed febrruary 20th... and as another anniversary draws near... this year the family says they think the slaying... will finally be solved. fox 5s cyndi lundeberg was at the brill home today where nearly a dozen people gathered to remember the teenager... she joins us now live with where the investigation is headed... aric brill was attending a friends 15th birthday party when a man walked up to him... pulled out a gun and shot him. the family says they're sure people out there tonight know something... and hope a new offer will encourage

the family tells fox 5 they are certain that aric did not know the person that shot but says through the investigation theyve learned its member who pulled the trigger. they even have a name of the likely suspect and theyre hoping new nail done the person responsible. fox5 was there as raided three locations today... all we know is it's a corruption investigation related to an audit of the hoover dam. the places the f-b-i raided: an accounting durango. a henderson home off college and u-s 95... and the department of interior's bureau of reclamation office in boulder city. the home belongs to rick zaffarese-leavitt. he's also linked to the other two offices. leavitt is the director of the bureau of reclamation. according to the review journal..

committee that oversaw a one million dollar audit of the hoover dam contract. ll bradford and company was in charge of that audit.. fbi agents raided that company's office today. we're still trying to piece together what the f-b-i is looking for. when we called, they simply confirmed they were investigating, but wouldn't give us details. at least a half a dozen local law enforcement cars were in front of leavitt's home today. we also talked to the bureau of reclamation, and ll bradford. they would not comment on today's raids. a house caught fire for the second time in four months. and that's not the only strange twist in this case. this house near lamb became a murder scene. police say home on fire, killing mario jimenez. other family members escaped after being burned and bound. a child was also pulled from the home, but wasn't hurt. today, the clark county coroner

the injured family members... angelica jimenez has died from her injuries. and once again... firefighters were called to the home. at lowe's. rancher cliven bundy is headed back to nevada... to face his 16 count indictment. bundy was supposed to appear in a portland courtroom for a preliminary hearing tomorrow.... but that got canceled. the rancher was indicted yesterday, on charges related to the 2014 armed standoff against fedreal officials. he went to portland to see his sons, who were arrested after taking over the malheur wildlife refuge. his sons ammon and ryan are also included in the nevada indictment. a suspect is behind bars for shooting and injuring another man... and according to his arrest report, it's not the first time he's pointed a gun at the victim.

happened february 2nd, near desert inn and paradise. police say the victim was visiting a friend, when gregory may approached him with a gun and told him to leave. police say may shot the victim in the stomach, and the wounded man station for help. the victim told police he and may arguments over had put a gun to his head before. may is now facing several charges, including attempted murder with a deadly weapon. a corrections officer and four inmates are in conspiracy to phones and drugs into prison. james is now behind bars, and for the corrections. investigators say up with the scheme to get cell phones and drugs to officers... who would then deliver the contraband to prisoners. this was at southern desert correctional center in indian investigators found two phones seized 16 more before they were delivered to

metro police say car thefts are on the rise... especially in the northeast area of town. " "our criminals are looking for easy targets. if there's change in the car and the door's unlocked that's an easy target. we want to make it where it's not so easy for the criminals and not so opportunistic for them to come out there and make victims of our citizens." police in the northeast area command say they've seen a ten percent rise in stolen cars in the last 28 days. a lot of these are taking place at apartment complexes. police encourage everyone to report if they see someone unusual walking car to car, and to stop leaving valuables inside them. the suspect accused of hacking a metro k-9 with a machete, made a court appearance today. prosecutors said police were lucky no humans were hurt during the attack.
