window and and started taking pictures of metro officers hovering over something in the middle of the road. i had no idea that was a body. not until he looked at the pictures and decicded to switch to shooting video. he managed to capture officers combing the area looking for evidence as to what went down. the woman rding to metro was one of two women killed after fight broke out in the parking garage at the miracle mile shops at planet hollywood. security arrived quickly and broke up the fight according to metro. those involved then got in their cars left the garage and drove off on harmon heading toward alderbaran where the shots were fired and the body of the woman was found on the street. police say around 1:33 in the morning they were called to the cosmopolitan after receiving reports of a man and woman found shot inside a vehicle in the valet area. both were rushed to hospital where the woman was pronounced dead the man at the time was reported to be critical. the woman who was found on the road at alderbaran was pronounced dead at the hospital although our viewer suspects she may have died at the scene. i don't witness these things very often but i would say they were very calm, very professional, seemed almost routine to them police say footage from the parking lot at miracle mile

himself... the tragedy for the manuel family doesnt end there... on the 17th of this week, olin manuel, the childs father, was arrested ... an investigation by the abuse and neglect detail of metro found that the gun found at the house belonged to olin, though metro couldnt give any more details of the investigation that led to the arrest, they say they don't arrest people just to arrest people / olin's being charged with child abuse with substantial bodily harm resulting in death and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person which metro says could mean a number of things... "ranging from whether or not that person is a felon, whether or not that person is a habitual drug user. so based on those variety of laws the prohibit somebody, it was determined that the subject fell in one of those categories of a prohibited person." i spoke to the manuel family earlier today... they are on their

we did request to talk to olin manuel from the detention center but we were told he is not available for an interview right now. north las vegas police are adressesing two separate cases of child abuse. police say a five- month-old boy died on february fifth. the coroner told detectives the baby had major trauma to his head and bone fractures. police say they interviewed cynthia lavender who was the child's babysitter and good friends with the mother. lavender told police she became frustrated with the child... and threw him against the wall back in january. she says she also dropped him on the tile floor. in the other child abuse case -- a seventh-month- old boy was left with brain damage. police say alejandra robles is an unlicensed caretaker and was watching the child at the time. she told detectives she threw the baby in the crib out of frustration. robles says she dialed 9-1-1 when the child stopped

a home near cheyenne and fort apache. that's where police say a woman was held against her will. 14-23 jimmy brown - neighbor . it kind of made my heart drop a little bit because i have my whole fmaily in there. my mom lives right up on grand canyon and i have a friend who lives right behind me over here. she escapes and gets help from a neighbor but police were just starting their investigation. 29-39 jesse roybal: detectives had swat serve a search warrant at that residence in question. through the course of the investigation we determined that some of those suspects may have been located at a location on broad river. that search led investigators to another house a couple miles away near rainbow. that's where they were able to arrest one suspect. however - the other suspect got away. neighbors saw him jumping fences and running through yards in the neighborhood. one man who asked to remain anonymous says he saw the man running away from police. neighbor/anonymou s: he basically ran up to my gate and started shaking my gate really hard. but instead just hopped it. i dont know where he went. he must of went through my back yard. it's still unclear if

it's not every day a casino goes dark-- but that's what happened during an early morning power outage at the westgate. now, those playing on the machines want to know when they're getting their money back! fox 5's ophelia young is outside the westgate - after walking through the casino this afternoon. yes i did a walk through around noon and it seems they had just turned the last slot machines on - the casino floor was still roped off while staff members were walking from machine to machine figuring out how much to pay players back. this 12 hours after what guests call panic and chaos. nat of video people walkinig around this is a video sent to fox 5 from a westgate hotel and casino guest - it shows dozens of people wandering through the dark casino floor around midnight. thats when guests say the power went out - "it was crowded its a casino peopel was ganbling people was on the slot machine the fuse just blew

out." staff told guests a bunch of wires blew up. in fact smoke from those wires prompted clark county firefighters to rush into the hotel. on the casino floor guests were left literally in the dark. "everyone was shocked they couldnt believe it." "didnt tell us anything." visitors say lights were out on the whole floor except the sports book. "like 140 i was on the slot machine i had 140 i hope i can get it back hopefully." this is a picture of make's slot machine - the monitor completely dark. staff members scrambled to gather his and everyone's information. right by the strip. police say it began with a confrontation... at the planet hollywood parking garage - around 1-30 this morning. later - shots were fired from one car to another - just west of the strip - near alderbaran avenue. the car hit then turned to the valet area of the cosmopolitan for help. when police arrived - one of the women was found lying in the room. les krifaton joins us live from the strip.... with video you will only see on fox five tonight. the man who asked that he not be identified said a few minutes after hearing gunshots he heard sirens getting louder and when they stopped near where he was he got out his camera and started taking pictures then a video this is what our fox5 viewer saw first police hovering over a body of a woman on the road who then being put in an ambulance and taken to umc. that was
