surveillance video is the latest hope in the search for one woman's killer. what it shows about what she was doing and who she was with the night before she was found dead. and a large fire overnight destroys a building near the strip-- but it's what was inside that was so precious to local kids dealing with autism. this is fox5 news at 6. local. las vegas a local charity that helps kids with autism-- and their families -- is starting from scratch tonight after a fire ripped building before dawn. i'm john huck. i'm christine maddela. the warehouse belonged to the people's autism foundation and was filled with school supplies ready to be given to students struggling with the disorder. fox5's eric hilt talked with the charity's directors -- and has a look at the damage. directors here at the people's autism foundation say the building and everything inside is a complete loss... but that doesn't

stopping with their mission. piles of burnt backpacks and charred clothes... all that's left after months of work -- went up in flames. fire nats "you work so hard to help so many children around the valley and to come and in one second have it be gone." the people's autism foundation had collected hundreds of backpacks, school supplies, and clothes all as part of it's annual back to school drive. workers were in delivering the supplies to families of children with autism when the fire broke out. "all the hours that i put in at night, it was worth it to see those children faces light up, they come here, their parents can get the resources they need, and now its starting from square one" next door, workers another non-profit -- mondays dark -- rushed to make sure their building was safe. "firemen all over the place, water everywhere, the flames were i think 30 forty feet high" the organizations uses its building

space to hold fundraisers for non-profits -- but now it's one of the many groups reaching out and hoping to help the people's autism foundation recover. "we've already started collecting school supplies and things that they lost in this fire...the space is going to be an amazing community center and we're obviously going to partner with them immediately to help them get back on their feet" "im so thankful for all the community - everything that they do for us. we try so hard to partner with them, and now they're helping us" ...and helping the charity continue it's misison. "school still starts on monday for these kids. i cant just be like oh well our foundation burned down no backpacks, school we're going to stay positive...we're going to keep our faith and keep helping as many children as we can, as many families as we can." you can drop of donations here at mondays dark tomorrow during business hours. directors at the people's autism foundation say the best way to directly help them in time for the start of school is with cash donations. you can do that on their website -- and you can find a link there in this story on fox5 vegas dot com.

investigators are still trying to figure out what sparked the fire, but say it started in the back of the building near an office. newly released surveillance video hopes to shed more light on what led to the death of a woman whose body was found at lake mead. metro police are looking for a man they call a person of interest-- who was with kathleen before she was found dead. he was seen at her home-- and on this surveillance video with her-- near sierra vista and paradise. he drives an s-u-v also seen.. but it's hard to see the make and model. the 61-year-old was found last month at a beak in the lake mead national recreation area. the coroner said she had been stabbed. 750-million dollar

sands corporation are demanding the county to contribute-- in order to bring a stadium to las vegas. the gaming company laid out its proposal to an advisory committee today-- saying it's all-- or nothing... and the decision needs to be made quickly. fox5's peter dawson breaks down the finances- -and the final two possible locations. the favorite... off the 15 and russell. the tourism infrastructure committee met once again, today's heavy topic included public funds in the form of a room tax down proposed stadium locations. robert goldstein pres. & coo, sand corporation "bein on the strip ... russell road works as well." cashman field site is now more or less off the table. a strip presence and access to the airport as well as the lure of secondary businesses to the surrounding areas were the key factors. unlv is a top concern, they too will benefit and the sand corp made that very clear. parks service turned 100 years old today fox5's abby theodros spent the day at one of them- she joins us live from lake mead with more lake mead started forming in the thirities but wasnt officially a national park until 1964 since then park officials have added some bells and whistles. if youre a certified you can scuba dive in various parts of the lake. we also talked with one of the park rangers here about the low lake levels theyve seen - and he says theyve had to make changes but you can still take part in water activities when you visit kevin turner, park ranger: opportunities are still pretty similar. you can still fish, swim, water ski,

disfiguring another woman-- by pouring hot grease all over her body. tanisha armstrong is accused in an attack that began as a nasty argument. it ended... and then began again 15 minutes later when police say armstrong's brother, mike williams, grabbed the woman, threw her to the ground and began stomping on her. an arrest report shows williams

while armstrong poured boiling grease into her mouth, face, chest, arms and legs. her burns were so severe she spent more than a month in the hospital and even longer in rehab. two of the 19 defendants involved in the standoff over cliven bundy's bunkerville ranch entered guilty pleas today. 61-year-old gerald delemus and 36-year old blaine cooper pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit an offense against the united states. coop pleaded guilty to assault on a federal officer and delemus on a charge of interstate travel in aid of extortion. both will be sentenced in december. they could face up to 20 years in prison on the more serious charges. a stop for a cup of joe was on the agenda today for hillary clinton during her trip to reno. she sipped on coffee after delivering one of her strongest rebukes against her opponent yet. clinton said trump's campaign is built on prejudice and paranoia-- and quote "the last thing we need in the situation room is a loose cannon
