because of a crash... you are looking live at the scene now.... we're still working to confirm details .. but a witness on the scene says it appears a trike motorcycle crashed into the back of a car.. police tell us the rider was alive - but severely injured when taken to teh hospital. police have had this part of rainbow closed for at least an hour now as they investigate what happened.. and expect it to be closed for some time. i'm sure we've all complained about customer service at one point, but our top story takes it to another level. i'm christine maddela. i'm john huck. a fox5 viewer pulled up to the drive in and placed an order. when he got to the window, the employees told him they couldn't take his credit card, only cash. that's when the customer asked to see a manager. what happened next, he recorded on his camera phone.. and fox5's miguel martinez valle has that video and joins us live at sahara and arville. it was around midnight last

this drive through... and tyrone pauline agrees... he was hangry. and that may be partially to blame for the chaotic interaction you're about to see... still he says the manager should have known. the customer is always right... "you called me b so what youre gonna call me bi ... i call it like i see it move youre fu car from there... " we didn't use my best words and i do have to apologize for that i want to apologize for that one coworker who was trying to lp me and listen to me" but he says from his experience in the food industry... the customers always right... so went to this mcdonald's trying to get some info on how they're handling the situation. henderson fire fighters david bower and anthony munoz frantically try and revive a dog pulled from a burning home... david bower- he was obviously very bad the dog was lethargic unresponsive not breathing too good so we did what we were supposed to this video sent to us by a viewer shows the thick black smoke funneling from the roof of the home in the 1000 block of timberline court. the fire broke out just after 11 am and quickly did 90k worth of damage daniel bautista- thats the house over there daniel b lives directly behind the home that was on fire.... daniel bautista- when i looked down there i saw a fireman carry one dog first thing that came to my mind is i thought he was dead the henderson fire department kicked in the front door... and found the unconcious putbull mix pitbull mix. firefighters munoz and bowers were called over .. but had no idea they were going to be working on a dog. weve been trained on it but this is my first time actually using it were able to give the dog oxygen by puttin their nose straight into here the firefigthers say at first the

anthony munoz- it was just apply oxygen over the dogs nose because he was still breathing and it was full action to his face then the dog began to lick the oxygen mask. david bower- afriad for the worst then he took a turn for the better it was a huge relief it made us feel great the pitbull mix was taken to a vet to be checked out... munoz and bower say the dog's owner reached out to them... to thank them. this case it wasnt a person its still a member of someones family and thats what matters mot to us two adults and one child were displaced by the fire... but henderson fire tells us their dog is back with them tonight. we wanted to learn more about the dog... and see how we he was doing.. we reached out to the owners... but didnt hear back. reporting live cl nnll four fire engines responded to this fire.. they say it began in one of

is making sure they not only get the maximum exposure from the debate but that they can use it as a teaching tool as well. nats of cheerleaders a debate rally was held on campus to generate more buzz and awareness for the presidential debate - but the buzz was already here. unlv estimates it's already received more than 40 million dollars in publicity - and with the lvcva investing the four million in money, the university is reaping rewards without financial burden. vince alberta: right now our primary investment has been in human capital. when you look at the scope of what this brings to the table it's a chance to showcase the university, showcase las vegas and to showcase the state. with 70 million eyes expected on the debate, it's a chance for unlv to get academic exposure. len jessup: it will put out on a world stage that we've got a medical school coming in, we're talking about a stadium for the team to play in. all

of the world. in the interim, the debate has become a luanching point for 12 classes offered with the event in mind. nats in classroom this class focuses on the history of political campaigns and elections - and the professor says it wouldn't be offered if the debate wasn't coming. michael green: i think that this course and others are helping students find things to do in connection with the election. i'm requiring students to participate in something. it can be partisan, non- partisan or bipartisan, whatever, but the idea of getting students involved is very important. nearly one have already signed up to be debate volunteers. len jessup: tremendous impact on these students. talk about a great real world learning experience. that's pretty cool. kevin: on debate night, this breezeway outside the university union will turn into the central hub for the media. national outlets as well as local stations from across the country will be camped out here with unlv student volunteers being the information runner, getting them involved and creating a learn by doing situation. at unlv, kevin

out they were only taking cash. and as you're about to see in this video things only escalated from there tyrone pauline says he came to the drive through at around 2 am to get a snack for himself and his dog when he finally made it to the order window he was told they were only taking cash the problem was he was stuck there were cars behind him so we couldn't get out here and wait 20 minutes to get up to the pane window. that's when he asked to talk to a manager and turn off his car until he was heard. he tells box 5 the manager and him exchange some harsh words tyrone pauline , "if it was a coworker i could've just brushed it off and been like oh they're probably having a bad day whatever but with a manager i expect them to have a little more professional and i know they deal with a lot of difficult customers so if she's treating me like this i can imagine how she treats other people" pauline says he knows that he shouldn't of cussed at the manager but he says all he wanted to do was suggest they put a sign up when their system was down saying they were only taking cash. instead he says the manager wasn't very

says he spoke to mcdonald's corporate today and they told him they're gonna watch the surveillance video from inside the store we also tried to get a hold of someone at this mcdonald's i wouldn't side asked for a manager they told me i was gonna have to call the phone number to talk to corporate that phone number took me straight to a voicemail. a prisoner on suicide watch at the las vegas jail... was able to kill himself.... and now his mom wants to know how something like this could happen. christine dickerson says her son-- tyler killed himself... with a sheet in his jail cell.
