has been following these cases this week... and now has details on what led up to the officer involved shooting. he joins us now live at metro headquarters. that car chase ended with a deadly shooting here along the 215... and word of the fatal shooting spread quickly to the victims and friends of victims of more than a dozen armed robberies the suspect is tied to. "its very much a sense of relief" its a sense of relief shared by many who live in this near warm springs and valle verde. police say the man who was tied to this armed carjacking and 13 other robberies at henderson businesses -- was robberies at henderson businesses -- was shot and killed by metro police. "this resulted in an extended pursuit which terminated in the area of 215 and hualapai officers there were confronted by a white male with a handgun, officers fired killing the suspect." metro police say there was a handgun inside the car - but investigators are handgun inside the car - but investigators are trying to figure out if the suspect shot or pointed his gun at police. "its early in the investigation i apologize" an investigation that people in this neighborhood say they'll be watching closely. "be safe out there, keep on guard, just because they got one doesn't mean there isn't others" i also spoke with an employee at a henderson dairy queen who was working when the restaurant was targeted during

robberies. hear what she told me coming up at 5 soc two men got in a fight at a gas pump early this morning. police say a third man then walked up.. and shot one of the men. this happened just after six at the chevron terrible's near lake mead and hollywood. metro says it appears the men knew each other, and the department's gang unit is investigating. the victim that was shot died at the scene. metro says there were several witnesses... and one even tried to chase after the suspects. "we're very grateful people stayed and are cooperating, it makes them a little late for work, but it is good cooperation from people in the businesses or working in the business, we were able to get a statement from them.
