shooting.. police arrested her boyfriend. now family members from both the victim and suspect say they are shocked by her death.. especially since they didn't see any signs of abuse in the relationship fox5's miguel martinez valle spoke to them tonight ... and joins us from the site of the shooting in southern highlands. im here near salerness and shinnecock in the southwest valley... where police found kaji goode in the driver's seat .. bleeding with what appeared to be gun shot wounds. in this arrest report released by police .. kaji's boyfriend ivan cotton made the 9-1-1 call... and while he tells police she shot herself... he also asked them to put him in handcuffs. " that is the only way for me to fall asleep, is to tell myself it never happened... i didn't hear anything no one has said anything. when i wake up in the morning i just cry" the family and friends of 22 year old kaji goode are in a state of shock. " theyre our family,

" this is not the kind of person who is going to commit suicide, as the lie she told 911 operators" cotton told police to handcuff him, he reportedly said " if she's dead take me to jail" he also said she was pregnant .. both kaji's family and his say they never saw any red flags pointing to abuse in the relationship. "it certainly appears as if he intended to be shot by police" police say wilson was a marine veteran... with only a minor

from an incident several years ago. his wife told police he had past issues with depression and gambling... as well as abusing pills and cocaine. back to you. the four officers involved are on routine paid administrative leave. this is the 7-th officer involved shooting of the year. police have identified the woman who was killed in a freeway shootout over the weekend. police say 48- year-old tracey donahue died saturday morning after she and her husband were shot by kenneth mcdonald. her husband thomas was taken and is expected to be okay. police say two other vehicles were also shot. 29-year-old mcdonald faces several charges including murder. police say more charges are expected to be filed because of the multiple crime scenes. the third and final presidential debate at u-n-l-v is wednesday... the debate commission says this is the culmination of more than a year of planning with unlv and the las vegas convention and visitors bureau. even late tonight

the convention center.... as well as approving the construction of the stadium on one of two locations on the south end of the strip. fox-5's vince sapienza shows us what happened. "i think we have a few raiders fans here, right?" the alumni center on unlv's campus was jam packed with raider fans and labor union workers to see governor brian sandoval sign a bill that could bring the oakland raiders to las vegas. "the opportunity for all of you, to get to work and build a monument for this valley, for many years to come, look forward to working with you all." governor sandoval says with the the bills put into law las vegas will see an annual 1.5 billion dollar economic impact. bringing in more than a million more annual visitors and book 1.8 million annual room nights. "we'll be fortifying our community and cementing our position as the number one tourist and hospitality destination on planet earth." and that destination is where raiders owner mark davis will see his team end up. davis tells me

his ten-thousand dollar bail.. and the dealership just today, handed over a check to safe-nest to cover the donation. metro police held a public forum on animal cruelty prevention. detectives work with animal control and the animal foundation to investigate animal abuse cases. metro says that 100-percent of the people responsible for sexually motivated murders... have a history of animal cruelty. forty-percent of animal abusers have committed violent crimes against a person... with animal abuse starting at a young age. if we don't investigate these crimes and we just ignore them, these people, have the potential to grow up and become our future serial killers, so we've got to start when they're young. police are still looking for the person... accused of hanging a cat from a fence last month. the reward for information leading to that arrest... is now up to six thousand dollars. physicians from all over the u-s flew in to las vegas to learn some new life- saving strategies in times of disaster.

convention center has been turned into an emergency department for the "a-c-e-p scientific assembly." there are simulations of emergencies the doctors have to respond to. today... the situation involved a hiking fall. a robot named "hal" was used as the patient. hal is as life-like as it gets and reacts when he's operated on.
