we start with breaking news-- it's the last day of early voting... and polling places around clark county are seeing record turnout... nearly 55 thousand voters-- voting today alone. you just saw-- people are making sure their voices are heard. i'm christine maddela. i'm john huck some of the polling places-- even extended hours-- to co voters waiting in line. fox5's miguel martinez valle is live to break down the early voting numbers, and what you need to know if you still haven't cast your ballot. thousands of people have voted outside this cardenas store today... this is just one of many polling locations across the valley... the latest update we have from the county shows more than 50,000 people voted today.

the last day of early voting has wrapped up and thousands of people made it a priority to get out to the polls " in 2012 we had over 50 thousand that voted the last day, we're projecting 50-60 today" " ive been working so this was the day i had available to do it, this was her first time voting and she asked me to come with her" some were first time voters, and this was a moment they had been waiting for their whole lives... " palpatating right now... you excited? yea i think every first time is a little exciting" others, like actress angelica maria, were outside polling stations encouraging people to use their vote as their voice... " in some of our countries, you vote and nobody listens to you, but here they do, so you have to vote here... " some chose to vote early to avoid long lines " this was very easy, took me probably about 5 minutes" but that strategy didn't quite work for those who

" oh it's very long, i barely just got up to the front... if you havent cast your ballot yet... there are some things you should know before you head to the polls tuesday : you have to vote at your assigned polling location: you can find that on your sample ballot or through a link on our website. once there you just have to sign in and cast your vote, most people wont be asked for id's since they're not required... but bring yours just in case. finally, after you vote... make sure you take your "i voted" sticker selfie..an to us... use the hashtag nv election hq.... " just make sure you're taking that selfie outside the polling station, because no pictures or videos are allowed inside and we don't want to get you in trouble" early voting may be over... but this election doesn't end until tuesday after every vote is counted... we did the math and about 47 percent of all eligable voters in clark county have already voted... as for the rest... see ya tuesday!

some clear inconsitencies. nearly a week after her seven year old son was found dead... roshaun malone was arrested in connection with his death. nats scene ramasje findley was found unresponsive in an apartment at the siegel suites on sunday. lt dan mcgrath metro police took over the case after firefighters found the boy... soon after the mother's roommate kenneth robinson was arrested.... mcgrath- we have the mother shes with detectives but shes not in handcuffs or anythign fox5 obtained the police report... in it kenneth robinson admitted to hitting ramasje in the head and stomach. robinson also said he tied the seven year olds arms and legs together and left him like that for several hours. that day the mom... roshaun malone was also interviewed by police. malone told police she woke up to find her boy tied up... but thats different than what she told her mom. masje not breathing i said where were

who did you live him with? malone told her mom... she left ramasje with the girlfriend of kenneth robinson. but according to police... the only two adults home at the time... were robinson....and malone. malone was arrested for open murder and is currently incarcerated at the clark county detention center. mcgrath- these are some of the most difficult cases we have to deal with i did reach out to family to ask for comment. when we had talked to them earlier they whole heartedly defender her and said she had nothing to do with the boy's death. the clark county coroner should release the official cause of ramasjes' death in the coming days. one person is in the hospital.. another dead .. both shot in two separate shootings. the most recent happened around 8 near las vegas

side street between nellis and lamb. according to metro police, someone shot another person multiple times... they died in the hospital. no one is in custody. the other shooting happened on the west side of the valley ... in a neghborhood off of torrey pines nead charleston. here.. police say a group of men who were outside around 4:30 this afternoon ... when someone began shooting. one of the men ran about a block before collapsing .. after being shot in the back. police say hwa rushed to a hospital and is expected to survive.. no one is in custody for this shooting. the paris hotel and casino is back back up and running--- after a massive power outage shuttered the resort overnight. caesars entertainment officials say the outage was caused by workers cutting into the main electric line in the basement. then .. the generators failed to kick in-- leaving staff, guests and gamblers in the dark... forcing the evacuation of the property.

miracle that the person who drilled through the wire wasn't seriously injured or killed. so we are very very grateful that that individual was unharmed and also very grateful that that event didn't trigger a catastrophic event within the hotel. paris hotel is compensating each guest with two free nights at the hotel . it is also looking into reimbursing other accommodations including flight changes, baggage shipping and show tickets. that will all be on a case-by-case basis. three th guests were without a room-- and a lot of gamblers were left in limbo when theirs games shut down. "we had just put money in the machine it was spinning and then all of a sudden it went out and everyone just looked around wondering what was happening - waiting for the back up generators to kick in. and they never did." gamers says they were asked to stay by their machines until a staffer came by, took down their information and gave them a receipt with their winnings. it is still unclear at this point-- just how much money this is going to

10. local. las vegas today was the last day of early voting and throughout the valley polling places saw some long lines resulting in a record breaking turnout while most polling places closed at 8 or 9 the election department is saying they're going to makesure everybody who is in line to vote, gets to do just that fox5's miguel martinez valle joins us now at one of the many polling locations still waiting on the last early voters to finish. thats right, earlier today the voting line at cardenas was out the door... thats how it was at other locations across the county, and people are still casting their votes inside as we

when someone heard her banging on the walls. brown told investigators she witnessed kohlhepp shoot and kill her boyfriend. a body was found in a shallow grave on the property... it is unclear if the body belongs to carver. almost a year after the terrorist attacks in paris... singer-- sting will perform at the concert hall... where the attacks first started. kids can say some crazy things... sometimes embarrassing their parents. but one little girls simple gesture during a trip to the grocery store -- ends with an unlikely friendship. little norah went to the grocery store with her mom to pick up some birthday cupcakes. she had just turned four-- and her mom says when they turned the corner-- an elderly man walked by.... and she blurted out-- hi old person. it's my birf-day. then she asked to get a picture with him. the old man-- mr. dan-- smiled... and they became instant friends. now mr. dan and norah have weekly visits... she colors him pictures.. and he will even be spending the holidays with norah and her family.
