from some but the county says it's standard procedure. friday was a record day in clark county...as 57-thousand people cast their ballot on the final day of early voting. "as far as me and my staff are concerned this is what makes the work worthwhile, to see people turn out in large numbers" but not everybody was excited about how those people voted... as lines grew and stretched out of early voting locations into friday evening...concern s about how late people were being allowed to vote grew too. including from the nevada republican party chairman michael mcdonald -- who spoke at a donald trump rally on saturday. "last night, in clark county, they kept a poll open 'til 10 o'clock at night so a certain group could vote. the polls are supposed to close at seven. this was kept open until ten. yeah, you feel free right now?"
4:01 pm
up the comments by calling the county's system "rigged" "i have no reaction to that comment" clark county registrar joe gloria told me it wasn't rigged...it was standard procedure. "we've got a long history of following the same policy and in 2012 once again we had people who were waiting in line well past the normal closing period that we processed and allowed to vote..." "...as long as voters show up on the last day of voting theres no limitation on our ability on our ability to process them to vote and so we stayed open until the last voters came through and thats in all areas of town" he said in fact -- all 28 early voting locations stayed open late to some extent. but gloria says that won't be the case tomorrow on election day "election day rules are different. we clearly have to open at 7 and we put somebody at the end of the line at 7 pm and that will be the last voter that comes through on election day" gloria said in his 20 years working elections for the county he has never heard criticism like this for keeping the polls open late. we reached out to the nevada republican party

today and did not hear back. we also reached out to the state democratic party -- they did not want to comment. it has finally come-- the last day on the campaign trail. hillary clinton is making four stops today in pennsylvania -- and shes not just concentrating on tomorrow-- but the days after. (hillary clinton, (d) presidential nominee) "tomorrow is the election, but that is just the beginning. we have to heal this bring people together, listen and respect each other." donald trump hit five states today- one of them is florida. he reminsced about the past year and journey of his campaign. many years. annette garbino has cast her vote...but it's not the outcome of the election that has her worried. all i can do is hope and pray that everyone stays peaceful you know, some are gonna win, some are gonna lose. police: there's been a lot of claims and remarks made about the security and different thoughts about whether the, how the election will go, if it's rigged or something like that. and it's not something metro is taking lightly. we'll have our real time crime cent tomorrow and a lt. assigned to that. they'll have officers rotating around each of the 278 polling locations in clark county... on high alert. at this time we have not recieved any intelligence information that we expect any type of disturbance or incident at any polling site here in clark county. and while they know uprisings are a possibility... a calm early voting period has them confident we won't see anything major. i don't think there's gonna be any uprisings if he wins or loses at

deep. and while annette hopes they're right... people going against you know that's not who i wanted so let's go, it's scary, i'm concerned about our children seeing this. i don't want them to think this is the way to go every election. that would be a really sad state of affairs. everybody accept what happens.. and of affairs. everybody accept what happens.. and pull together, not apart. officers say they won't necessarily be in every polling location... but they'll drive by... hang around for a little bit... but only really go in if there's a scene. just make their presence known. they say so far this season they've actually not had to make any arrests for disturbances at polling locations. reporting live...kathleen jacob...fox 5 news... local. las vegas. be sure to stay with fox5 as we follow all of the results tomorrow from
