museum... now he lives not too far away from here to the northwest but we are hearing the same complaints from people in that neighborhood. coming up at 6 -- we'll tell you how many peacocks were talking about and why the neighbors say they havent seen any out here today. live in las vegas adam herbets back to you. a high school coach and school monitor is accused of kidnapping a student during school hours... and sexually assaulting her. we're learning more about what happened at del sol high school through "ati poni's" arrest report. police say poni took a girl from the school without her parent's permission to his home. that is where police say he sexually assaulted the teenager against her will. the girl's parents noticed her behavior was different, and she eventually told them what happened. police say poni had a relationship with the teen, and they say he used his position of authority as her coach to pursuade her into

metro police released the mugshot of a man they say brutally attacked a woman at an a-t-m. police say "michael estes" is the man who beat the woman. metro says the victim was standing near the a-t-m when estes pulled up to her, and body-slammed her to the ground. the victim was also kicked, and her face was stomped on multiple times. she suffered facial and skull fractures. a friend told police the victim had an on and off again dating relationship with estes, and he threatened to kill her the day before the attack. estes has a preliminary hearing on november 22nd. we are working to gather more details on the victim and her condition. trial for strip illusionist jan rouven starts today. he faces decades in prison... if convicted of posessing child pornography. today, rouven's defense attorney complained a prosecutor mis- stated the facts of the federal case during opening statements. rouven is pleading not guilty to collecting thousands of videos and pictures of child pornography.

hours for firefighters to get a fire at a paper plant under control. check out this video... the fire happened at a plant in north las vegas, near fifth street and alexander. firefighters evacuated the building and say no one was hurt. the city of north las vegas teamed up with our neighbors in california for a special mock- earthquake drill. " - body attached" members of the national guard... fire department and nevada's division of emergency money management helped out with the simulation. different towns had to coordinate all their resources to make sure everyone made it out safely. "there is absolutely a challenge of getting multiple agencies together to accomplish a common goal. we all have the same common goal but they way we get to that goal may be different and so it's important for us to see how everybody does it and to organize ourselves in a way that we can do it with commonality." this was the first time the annual national guard drill was co- located and hosted in two different states. the drills will continues from today through to

busted... after police found a tiger, three tiger cubs, and several monkeys among other animals in her texas home. and as bill spencer shows us... this bizarre arrest has a twist. 34-year old trisha meyer, the houston woman who game wardens say was housing exotic, wild animals inside this cypresswood drive home, is now in custody in nye county, nevada... charged with child endangerment... for keeping dangerous animals in the same home as her 14-year old daughter. (ashtyn rivet, spokesperson, barc animal shelter and adoptions) "having wildlife inside your home or even in your yard...is dangerous." regardless of the law, court documents obtained by channel 2 news show trisha meyer had 3 tiger cubs, a

and at least at one time several monkeys, all living inside this home she was leasing in the 11-thousand-800 block of cypresswood drive. now, after talking to investigators with the nye county sheriff's department, channel 2 news has learned that meyer was actually arrested in pahrump, nevada, about 60 west of las vegas, on november 7th. her animals have been confiscated and placed with animal control, and meyer is now facing charges for allowing her collection of wild animals to roam freely inside her home in contact with her own daughter. here in houston, meyer allegedly told game wardens quote, "the tigers at their current ages were dangerous and could kill." animal control officers with barc call what she was doing - putting these animals in the same space as her very own child - extremely dangerous. trisha meyer was arrested after selling an exotic kitten for three thousand dollars... but not actually delivering the animal. she is being held in nye county on two-thousand dollars bail. meyer used to live in pahrump until about a year ago. back then, she had permits for her exotic pets. it has been eight months... since metro k-9 nicky was shot and killed on the job. now his memory lives on through a belgian ( ) malinois across the country. you're looking at k-9 "badger" from the orangeburg de public safety in south carolina. he is the only dog on this force, and he is sporting his brand new body armor. the vest was donated by a massachusetts group, and it is worth about two thousand dollars. on the underside of badger's vest are the words "in memory of k-9 nicky, las vegas metropolitan police." you may remember nicky was first stabbed on the job in february. he made an amazing recovery... but then was shot and killed during a standoff in march. now fox5 weather 24/7 with meterologist sam

documentary series "making a murderer" will be released from prison. brandon dassey and his uncle steven avery were convicted of killing teresa halbach more than a decade ago. dassey was 16 at the time... and he confessed to helping avery kill the young photographer. but a judge overturned dassey's sentence in august... ruling dassey's constitutional rights were violated when he was questioned as a teen. now he will be released from prison under supervision. the state attorney general's ofice

says a manager at chili's called his military service into question... and actually took away his free meal! he recorded some of that incident and posted it on facebook. "why are you grabbing my food away from me? oh you're taking my food away? " "ernest walker" says he showed his military i-d before getting his meal. everything was fine until another customer reported he was not a real veteran, and his not an actual service dog. "he says he was in ww2 in germany, and they didn't have any blacks then. like i said, he was an older guy, you know, i let that stuff go. " walker says a manager told him he needed to leave, and took away his to-go box of food. chili's issued a public apology, and says it fell short on veterans day when it came to making guests feel special.
