no arrests have been made. continuing coverage... a man convicted of shooting a police officer during a robbery is seenced for a third time. this man eddieiechest - and his son e edie adams wereeonvicted in the shooting of dubuque lietenant scott baxter . the robbery took place at knickers saloon in dubuque in 2009. chest entered a plea agreement in 2011-- recommending two 25-yyr- sentences run simulatneously. howver a judge wanted the sentences to run one after the other for a full 50 years. this is video of the last time chest was in court -- today he arrived in court with chains around his ankles and wrists. at this third sentencing today...his attorney, argged the only reason ccest previously accepted a plea deal was because the sentences were supposed to be served at the same time the prosecution argued they were meant to be served back-to-back. ultimately...the judge ruled...that chest is guiiy of the crimes commited...taking into account his extensive criminal history. the judge told eddie chest he

the rose bowl and fans are anxious to get tickets to cheer on the hawks as they take on stanford, new years day. kwwl''kristin rogers caught up with fans who were waiting in line to get their hands on rose bowl tickets for the first time in nearly 25 years. the university will have 22 thousand tickets available to start they sold all of their 10 thousand tickets that were available for the big ten championship game and now they're expecting to get rid of all of the rose bowl tickets as well. hawkeye fans are already ordering their tickets for the rose bowl, it's their first chance to do so since 1991. everything is being done online, even for fs who go to the ticket office the university is (cg: phyllis eaves/ fan) "we'd been trying to get the rose bowl tickets and our computer was so jammed up we couldn't get through so i said i'm going down i'm not going to miss out ongetting

the federal probe comes in part after several deadly shootings in the department. today a judge determined no charges will be filed against an officer in a fatal shooting in october of last year when officer george hernandez shot and killed ronald johnson during a chase. just two weeks ago an officer was charged with murder in the death of 17-year-old laquan mcdonald. iowans worried about governor branstad's plan to privatize medicaid -- will get some extra time... today - a group of eastern iowans attended the legislative oversight committee meeting at the state house in des moines.... some spoke during the public comment period. today governor branstad announced an extension -- saying all medicaid providers, whether in-network or out- of-network for the partner insurance plans, will receive 100 percent reimbursement for services provided until april first of next year. an island in the central pacific is experiencing devistating effects of climate change... this is kiribati -- a low lying island chain that's home to about 100 thousand people... scientists warn rising sea levels
