what the mild december temperatures mean for the streets of one eastern iowa city. everyone deserves a christmas- and it's that time of year, when the salvation army is helping families in need. the salvation army gym in waterloo is stacked with toys for all ages. the 2 day program has helped out nearly 400 families but organizers say many more families in the cedar valley still need our help... toys were donated from people in the community, toys for tots, and walmarts fill the truck toy drive. a mother of 5 says she is grateful for the donations... really thankful because i just moved to iowa and i just started working kids this year and i would like to tell you guys thank you so much. families also got a box of food- enough for a christmas meal...and to last another week after that as well as a scarf for each child. saturday - dubuque hyvee on
