it's their first rose bowl game in 25 years, which is quite the turnaround from last season. kwwl's mark woodley fills us in on a hawkeye who almost came out of nowhere to become one of the stars of this team. when matt vandeberg first came to iowa - the rose bowl committed to a 4-8 football team. we've been able to change the culture and change the way iowa football is presented on the football field." and vandeberg's played a big role in that with 61 receptions doubled that number by the third game this season -- "the rise of matt vandeberg in fact when vandeberg decided to come to iowa - weighing approximately 170 pounds - he expected to show up unexpected offer -- "five days before camp, they told me a scholarship opened up
