be the next president. it's former president bill clinton's first visit to dubuque since 2008, and the line of people waiting three hours early. police responding to the shots fired call in the 300 block of belknap blvd. in keokuk. the victim is 32- year-old ian keefe -- his condition is not known at this time. police say two suspects wearing masks left the scene in a car. authorities are also working to see if this shooting is connected to a similar incident in hamilton, one person is arrested after a shooting inside a home. it happened this morning in the 15- hundred block of seventh avenue southeast in cedar rapids. 31-year-old derek bekeris is charged with attempted murder, going armed with intent, and other drug charges. nobody was injured in the incident. a new, positive facebook page surfacing tonight.. in response to another page targeted at killing local police officers. earlier this week a facebook page

kill waterloo police officers. the waterloo police chief believes it was these pictures...with the caption '"i got my eyes on you...that prompted this new page. those photos showed a suspect being arrested following a shooting on new years eve. now. someone made new facebook page titled, "waterloo pd, we got your backs" kwwls olivia mancino talked with the creator tonight this page has been up for just a few days and has already garnered more than 35- hundred likes corey timm, the guy who created this page, had no idea the page "ohh that was horrible" on thursdays, corey timm spends his evenings at maple lanes bowling alley. on this particular thursday, timm shook off the rust from the holidays and caught up with the crew. "somebody started a facebook be killed" "jesus" "or something like that" and it wasn't their bowling game highlighting the

instead, something completely knocked him out. "i was just appalled really" appalled by a facebook page targeted at killing waterloo police officers emerged on monday... "i was like really, someone actually created that" so timm decided to make police "we've got your backs" " i created the page, i didnt expect anything of it, and i started adding a few things and shared it with about 50 people" now, the page has more than 35-hundred likes, and a new administrator to step up and help monitor it. "the waterloo police don't get enough credit anyway, being on the streets and dealing with what they deal with" page.. but they say the support for their local police department is enough to bring anyone together. "people really do appreciate the police, and i don't think they know that" and he hopes with this swift response, the police department knows those who wish ill on police officers are the minority. i asked timms his intentions with the page now that its active he says he doesn't have anything solid yet, but as a dad, one of his main goals is to facilitate meet and greets between police officers and kids in places like a bowling alley. back to you... we reached out to the waterloo police chief for a response to this new facebook page chief trelka says "we are humbled by the kind outpouring of support for law enforcement by the creation and contributions to this page" authorities say an inmate assaulted an officer at a local correctional facility. it happened at the l-u-b living unit at anamosa state penitentiary. the man accused is taylor denney, who is serving a 15 year sentence for second degree arson, escape of a felon from des moines county. his sentence began in february of 2010. the officer suffered face and head injuries in the incident,

one person is critically injured after a house fire started by a deep fryer. fire crews saw flames coming from the back of the house in merrill, wisconsin. the 77-year-old man inside was able to get out but was taken to the local hospital's burn unit. investigators say the fryer was unattended in the kitchen -- which started the fire. both the garage and the home suffered damage. the salvation army is opening a new local winter day shelter.. the iowa city shelter will be open from 9 in the morning until those in need of a meal. one homeless man says he eats from dumpsters on sundays when his usual options for food are not available, so he says this shelter is something that is much needed. nobody was hurt in the fire. the venue is still under construction ahead of the olympic games this august. a homeless man is rescued after accidentily being dumped into a garbage truck while the trash compacter is running. take a look at the rescue here in northern california. fire crews say the man was sleeping in a dumpster when the garbage truck made its pickup. the truck driver says they made screaming. no word on his condition tonight. police are searching for five men involved in a smash-and-grab burglary. take a look at the stolen pickup truck here smashing trough a convenience store in texas. after they get inside -- you can see the group of people trying to move the safe -- but are unable to do so. police say they later took off and abandoned thr truck. all five have yet to be found. breaking news fire crews are on the scene of
