year old girl was taken to the hospital. the owner of the business today- she joins us now live in the as you can tell by that picture we just showed, there's a lot of physical damage left behind..but there's emotional damage as well. the owner of the business tells but she's amazed by all of the community's support. the owner of resale therapy says these pictures are haunting. a car crashes into her business- killing the driver, while a 5 friend that she says she'll never forget. "she said your store is smashed you need to get somebody drove into your store and they are hurt and this is serious." it's a new day- the hole is patched up...but inside it's a bit of a different story. "we are finding pieces of the cars, pieces that were a part of a very tragic situation

who had items damaged from the accident, can get their money back. larson hopes her store will reopen by the end of this week..and she says her thoughts are with the family of the accident. we've got you covered, lauren moss kwwl news. thanks lauren- deputies say alcohol may have been a factor. sheriff marty fisher says tackett, the driver.. was the boyfriend of the 5 year old's mother. deputies say the 5 year old girl involved in the crash, is expeted to be okay. a man who was wanted for an escape charge is now arrested for burglary. the fayette county sheriff's office was called sunday morning for a burglary. during the investigation, witnesses reported seeing a male subject near the area. deputies were able to find the person and identified him as brian latham. they also found that latham was wanted out of blackhawk county for an escape charge from the department of correctional services. once arrested, deputies found

and a large amount of cash. countdown to the iowa caucus. republican presidential candidate ted cruz is in eastern iowa trying to lock in support just one week before caucuses. kwwl's shirley descorbeth is live from manchester where cruz wrapped up his campaign stop not too long ago. shirley...how was it? well, it's an empty room now here at the fireside pub and steakhouse...but it was filled with cruz supporters. eastern iowans are support. cruz also made campaign stops today in maquoketa and independence. and just today -- former texas governor today came out with his endorsement of cruz. glenn beck also endorsed cruz over the weekend. today in des moines, iowa senator joni ernst joined senator marco rubio on the campaign trail. although, she has promised not to endorse anyone, she was on hand to introduce rubio to the crowd. during his remarks, rubio talked about something he rarely talks about on the trail..his pro-life philosophy. in iowa falls, senator bernie sanders consoled a woman after she broke down into tears. the woman was telling sanders about her struggles cycling through minimum wage jobs, fighting to get disability

human trafficking happens every where, even here in iowa. local and federal law enforcement came together at the marion police department to bring awareness to the issue of human trafficing. kwwl's kristin rogers spoke with a victim and survivor who is from iowa, kristin what did she have to say? christi survived human trafficking and is thankful for it's a crime we're told is hard to

slavery called human trafficking. that's what people gathered to draw attention to at the marion police department. the president of cedar rapids gives says not all victims survivor chrsiti, she was trafficking survivor) "in 2009, with my trafficker, we were pulled over for speeding, thank god and the officer recognized the signs and he seperated us." the officer who saved christi noticed signs and was able to rescue her. and recognizing signs was something brought to the forefront of this discussion today. we can all keep our eye out for possible human trafficking. some signs to look for include malnutrition, drug abuse, and no medical treatment amoung others. we've got you covered live, kristin rogers ...kwwl news. we're also told only 1-2% of victims are ever rescued.
