you can see a tractor trailer there it collided with a dump truck which then spilled its road down on the road. we were told three cars were involved in the crash and two people have been hospitalized, this afternoon. lets take a live look now at scene from chopper three. again these are the northbound lanes, but the the load from that dump truck actually spilled over in the southbound lanes. route one in the area remains closed at this hour, our vittoria woodill will have more on the traffic situation, there, coming up in just a few minutes. and an emotional day for friend and family as a murdered mother of two is laid to rest. services for connie maclean murray were held at givnish funeral home in the northeast, before her burial at resurrection cemetery in bucks county. she posted this photo on facebook, shortly before her death. police say her husband christopher failed a lie detector test over the weekend and confessed to strangling her in penny pack park monday

at least that is warming as well. we have had some rain moving toward us a few different systems moving our way, first, warm front that will bring us showers tomorrow morning but it will be dry this evening with temperatures falling through the 70's, mostly cloudy at 9:00 o'clock and by 11:00, 72 degrees with mostly cloudy skies. lets look at future weather this evening it will be relatively dry. overnight tonight some rain moving in from the southwest, mainly through southeastern, pennsylvania, point to the north, and to the west. but over the course of the day we will solve spotty showers, maybe a few thunderstorms but it is tomorrow evening and tomorrow night we will run risk of severe weather and also some flooding concerns. we will talk more about the timing coming up when i join you inside. >> kathy, thanks. outrage in missouri have a an unarmed teen is killed by police. at times protest had given way to more violence. cbs news correspondent wendy gilette tell us police are urging calm as they investigate the circumstances surrounding that teen's death.

>> reporter: protesters gathered near the police station in missouri monday and then marched through the city. the the crowd briefly ended up at the front door of the police department, where demonstrators faced off against three lines of police officers, some in riot gear. they are angry about the the death of 18 year-old michael brown who was unarmed, when a police officer shot him multiple times on saturday. the protest followed a night of violence, in a st. louis suburb. looters hit a number of stores burning and destroying one building and vandal icing others. almost three dozen people were arrested. >> these people are angry. this is america. >> reporter: monday's protest was receipted but peaceful, st. louis county police department is handling the investigation in the shooting and fbi is involved and in case federal charges are filed. >> this is a very complicated investigation, as it should be, and a man lost his life

tony stewart twice this weekend, following the crash that claimed the life of fellow driver, 20 year-old kevin ward, junior. so far, no charges have been filed against the three time nascar champion. >> there is no evidence in hand or no facts that would support a criminal charge or support criminal intent. >> reporter: but stewart is not in the clear just yet. >> there is a possibility for a criminally negligent homicide, that means i didn't intend to kill anybody or intend to hurt anybody but i ignored an obvious risk. >> reporter: stewart and ward were battling for position during the lap at this sprint car race at the the motor sports park, saturday night, when stewart caused ward to spin out. ward then got out of his car to confront stewart where he was struck by stewart's car and then killed. stewart has been involved in altercation was other drivers, in the past. including this incident, in 2012 when he he hurled his

right now on storm scan three we are looking at clouds building in. we have showers in a line edging toward state college and hageers town and d.c. all associated with the warm front that will be lifting through, that is first part of our storm puzzle. right now in philadelphia 83. eighty-two in trenton. eighty in wilmington. eighty-three in allentown. wildwood rio grande is 78. temperatures down the shore mainly in the upper 70's and that ocean water temperature up to 78 degrees. the warmest, jet. we will see if it stays that way. we are watching low pressure, just through midwest that has a warm front associated with a trailing cold front. the warm front lifts through with some showers and we may see a few breaks in the cloud during the day in some spots before that cold front moves through. it will be tomorrow night, that we will see some heavy rain, threat of severe weather ahead of that cold front. front will clear most have the region by late tomorrow morning and then it will be trying out, i think we will be seeing some sunshine before some sunset, on wednesday.

good evening, everyone lets give you an update on that accident taking place on route one affecting both north and southbound. if you are traveling between area have of oxford valley and 213, even trying to make it toward i-95 into princeton, new jersey area what we are looking at here is route one southbound side here, they have uprighted the cargo section of the tractor trail their was overturn and they have gotten that out of the way. there is debris on the northbound side and still dealing with this closure. traveling southbound they are allowing the solder to get by but ever so slightly, still taking old lincoln highway would be your best bet if you are traveling in this area. again to briefly sort of give you a summary again north bound route one is closed between 95 and oxford valley southbound between stony hill road and i-95 and lincoln highway is your best bet but they are making progress. we have an accident that came up breaking news story, westbound side of the pennsylvania turnpike at new jersey turnpike all westbound

now we have more sunshine at the beach. temperatures around the region have not individual that much during the the afternoon nor from location to location. it is 80 in atlantic city. inland to cherry hill same thing. swedesboro 80 degrees. philadelphia 80 degrees. trenton 82. even to the north and west we have 83 in allentown. a little bit cooler as usual in the poconos and pottstown and lafayette hill we are sitting at 83 degrees. we are watching showers moving towards us. area of low pressure over ohio will inch east ward. we have a warm front with it. first round have of showers for your tuesday morning will be associated with this. temperatures will be in the 70's. then we will have a break during late afternoon and evening before a cold front moves through. that front will be approaching tuesday night and wednesday morning and that is when we will see heavier rain. in the wake of this front we have breezy conditions out of the northwest, and temperatures in the 80's. do i expect some sunshine wednesday afternoon, and high pressure builds in from the west and temperatures, warm backup again, we will get into a very nice, stretch of warm

weather. we have to get through the next, 24 to 36 hours. rain amounts, between early tuesday morning, and wednesday morning, will range from an inch through most locations down the the shore to around an inch and a half toward lehigh valley and poconos. even reading and lancaster picking up 2 inches of rain. as far as severe weather threat is concern more likely as that front approaches tomorrow night with heavier rain, potential for damaging wind and a slight risk of hail as well. the bottom line is worse of the storms is going to be tuesday night into wednesday morning, one to 2 inches of rain, heavier rain tuesday night, that is good news, mostly we will be sleeping. poor drainage flooding is a concern. there are no watches just yet. gusty storm or two. then the risk of severe thunder storm as well most likely tuesday night. overnight tonight mostly cloudy a few showers possible during overnight. high temperatures in the upper 70's with a chance of showers and thunderstorms during the day on tuesday but those storms are isolated.

on the exclusive seven day forecast we will look at temperatures in the 80's beginning on wednesday but look at after that thursday, friday, saturday, sunday looking great. monday the high temperature 88 degrees but notice, no 90-degree temperatures in this seven day. when you think of august you think of hot, sometimes scorching temperatures but not so far this year. it could be weeks before we see another 90 gree day. meteorologist kate bilo has more on that. >> thanks, kathy. the as you just showed in the seven day forecast another stretch of below average temperatures awaits late this week and in the weekend. that has got people talking about what a cool, comfortable august it has been. we have decided to look back at recent august and look at numbers to see fit is cooler and more comfortable then we are used to. certainly looking at past four years thins are better this time around. starting august between the ten hot august us, 12 days above. temperatures averaged 2.7 degrees above normal.
