the manhunt for accused trooper killer eric freak. investigators believe he is somewhere in the woods along the border between monroe and pike counties. today pennsylvania state police showed us a photo of the campsite they have found in that area. food and am a initial were in these bags. they believe frein left them behind because he was in a hurry to get out of that area. >> we're more confident then ever that he is stressed and we are pushing him hard, and only a matter of time, a number of significant mistakes in the course of this manhunt. i have no doubt he will make additional mistakes and when he does we will capitalized and no doubt capture him. >> frein ace accused of ambushing two state troopers at blooming grove barracks three weeks ago today. corporal ryan dickson was killed and trooper alex douglass was critically wounded. violence has prompted increased police presence at upper darby high school. reaction. >> in this day and age you have to respond. >> reporter: superintendent chitwood says he is getting worried calls from parents who want to keep their kids home from school. he is recommending begins that saying that the entire point of the increased police presence is to keep any threat at bay and he is confident he will do just that. reporting from upper darby, steve paterson for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". philadelphia police are on the manhunt after a triple shooting in kensington. police say suspect fired 13 shots injuring three. this happened late last night in the 3,000 block of lee street, one of those bullets did travel into a home but fortunately no one inside was hurt. a man is in custody following a deadly stabbing overnight this happened in the 3200 block of somer street in university city. it was 57 year-old victim stabbed multiple times there. police are questioning now a 59 year-old man and they are trying to establish a motive behind that violence. philadelphia police are looking for a suspect robbed

a market in cobbs creek, we have surveillance video of it to show you. the suspect pulled a gun on the clerk and at christian grocery on christian street back on september 25th. and then they made off you with cash. that person was last seen, traveling east bound on christian street, running towards 57th street. well, more surveillance video now these are two suspects who held up a deli that happened monday at the deli at 3887 ford road in wynfield heights. one of these suspects, did have have a gun, the other grabbed the cash. these two were last seen running northbound on cranston road. newtown square now police made an arrest for this man for his sixth dui offense following a three vehicle crash. investigators say thomas cleary, hit two cars from behind, while stopped at red lights on west chester pike this happened near baron road on wednesday. officers say that cleary was under the influence of alcohol

or drugs to the point that rendered him incapable of safe driving. a truck and a car collide killing a person in chester county. this crash happened around noon time on commerce drive near indian run road in exton. police say crash killed one person and injured two others, their injuries we're told are non-life threatening. the the cause of the crash is now under investigation. cause of an early morning house fire in north philadelphia is also under investigation. this fire broke out on 26th and oxford streets, fire fighters say they have encountered heavy smoke pouring from the second floor there. no one was hurt, red cross is helping three families displaced by the fire. still to come on "eyewitness news" at 5:00 severe weather down south, whipping wind are caught on camera at a fair in waco, texas. we will show you after a math of this storm. yet another data breach this one affecting one of the the nation's largest banks.

philadelphia, cleve? is part of the congressman john runyan's district, burlington college, that is why they had that congressional feel hearing today. there are allegations that the regional office in philadelphia, for veterans affairs was cooking the the books. they were trying to make like it look like their staff was doing a better job then what was really doing place. >> would i apologize on behalf of the entire outfit. >> reporter: christian rule becomes emotional talking about all that is wrong at va office where she reviews benefit claims. she said first priority isn't helping veterans but it is looking productive. >> i just feel bad, it is not fair to them, they forgot their life for us and i think they deserve american just a quick look at the this. >> reporter: rule was asked to testify friday before a congressional subcommittee on veterans affairs. the since june federal investigators have been looking into 100 complaints of gross miss management and potential wrongdoing in the philadelphia office. staff has accused of purposely time stamping claims incorrectly so cases don't

well, general motors is recalling, more than half a million cars tonight. >> the problem, can cause a part that holds the rear wheel in place to separate and that can make the wheel move and possibly cause a crash. the recall covers, model years 2010 to 2015 cadillac srx and saab 94x, suv's. gm says that the flaw has resulted in three accidents, and two injuries so far. separate recall has also been issued for the 2013 to 2015 chevrolet sparks. that recall is because of a hood lash that can be stuck in the opened position. america's new car company is making a big splash with the world's fastest electric car. >> tezsla says its new coupe can go from zero to 60 in just 3.4 seconds. and the car has a top speed of more than 120 miles an hour.
