steenkamp. philadelphia city council will consider addition toss its hate crime legislation this afternoon. the new laws would add to the penalties for crimes motivated by hatred, regarding sexual orientation, gender identity and disabilities. >> manhunt for eric frein is keeping mt. poconos. frein swot in the swift water monroe county yesterday. on the run since the deadly ambush at state police barracks last month. >> coming up on 5:43, traffic and weather together -- traffic and weather together. >> definitely looking at more clouds than anything, but over the last couple of hours, see the green firing up here on storm scan3. we had one quick round every showers, already came through, this is all just combination of our latest area of low pressure, when we zoom it out, see that there is definitely lot more activity off to the north and west. most of this, actually, going to rotate away off to the north, however, some of the showers will survive through our region, as is this storm system starts to get its act together. so basically, what we are talking about here is developing area of low
5:43 am
pressure, and it is all summed up by this sort of large circle of, you know, counter clockwise rotation with the showers moving n so that's your low. when that does finally rotate through, it will continue to bring in clouds, bring in showers, but also going to bring in some cooler air and a breeze. so, today, we're rebounding nicely on the thermometer. i have easily think you will get to the upper 60s in a lot of locations, which means it will be noticeably milder day. already noticeably milder morning for a loft you. meanwhile, by tomorrow, yes, technically still in the 60s, but probably going to drop a solid six, 7 degrees in spots, at best low six 60s expected into tomorrow. and then by thursday, we do see even cooler air take grip here, as our winds flow starts to turn little more northeasterly, that will limit the amount of heat that can take place, so at bells, we may be talking, you know, up ear's here, at best. and there will still be clouds, will still be showers, will also be chilly breeze coming in here, too. temperatures at the moment, 54 degrees at the airport, far cry from where these temperatures were yesterday. even in mount pocono, you're
5:44 am
flirting with 50 at this hour. wilder -- wider zoom shows chill. darker shades of blue starting to nudge in, 40 degrees here at minneapolis, sign of things to come. eventually some of the cool air will nudge its way into our area, but at least what we have going for us here today the fact it will be milder day. we did still give you just above average for a grade for the day. because despite the warmer air, and 68 degrees for the expected hi, which we should hit about 3:00 p.m., still going to be dealing with clouds, more clouds than sun, couple of showers, and enough over the next few days that i would say umbrella not the worse idea. but you will likely not be needing it for the entire day. so that's at least good news. so, lucky enough to maybe be running from the parking lot to the office, by the time that the rain has already moved through, then, a-okay, always good to be safe than sorry, right? next few days, temperatures cool down. then, high pressure will regain the lead here, bring back the sunshine, help us warm up nicely, talking mid, upper 60s for the upcoming weekends and beyond.
