>> good morning. >> in fact, i'll be talking about this coming up in just a little bit. we do have just basically one closure. kind of straight shot. so i'm covering that in just a moment, also covering the latest on the christopher columbus accident. >> great. thankfully at least the weather is calming down substantially for our area, definitely going to see some sunshine today, still little wrap around moisture i want to discuss here, so we go right on out to the cameras, start things off with a look at the live neighborhood network camera, all clear, all cool, all collected. storm scan3, still actually have lingering showers out here specifically across central pennsylvania, those are continuing to migrate east. as they do we have to keep clear watch on. >> this i will not be shocked if some of this survives as it moves into the north and west most suburbs, again, i've got my on that, keep you posted as that continues to move east. but it should be fizzling with time. forty-four the current temperature at the airport as well as pair of four's in ac. the winds direction turning a lot more westerly, still breezy at the airport, make no mistakes, will feel chilly out there despite the west to

southwest breeze, regardless, at least it is dry at this point, we can bank on essentially dry day with the breeze, though, and the cooler air, you're going to want at least fleece or sweatshirt if you are headed out to the parade route. meanwhile up in the poconos, may even still be residual snow shower, high no better than 40, so again cooler, cooler than average. but, guys, actually looking ahead to some snow by the weekends, much more on that, meisha, a coming up. >> thank you so much, katie. good morning, everyone. and happy friday to you. we made it to the weekends, i will say, though, kind of rough start out there, so pay attention if you're around the south philly area. do have report of faith al accident here. this is live mobile three, showing you, casino whatever we are working with for those every how need to maneuver around this. columbus boulevard, both directions, all lanes were blocked for some time. it sounds now that the lanes are now open, this is right around oregon avenue. but the investigation is still underway. so, you might want to avoid this area still. i certainly would. what you can do, stay on broad to get to your majors, nine at or the schuylkill. it might help you.

but there is some tension around the area, might get gaper delay, going to have certainly the flashing light as the investigation is underway. so just make note of this. if i were you, i would just avoid the area for now altogether. moving along, the platt bridge is now all clear, we had accident there, that again like i said all clear, construction 95 north at girard, also cleared, right lane was compromised for quite some time, now that's open. moving on to the parade, nova parade starts at 1:00 p.m. make note of this. parked cars will be towed from the parade route starting at 6:00 a.m. so what's that parade route? it will be 20th and market, to dilworth park. it will be just a straight shot. so easy, but the thing is if you are parked around there at 6:00 a.m., you starting to those cars, so get those out of the way, brooke, back over to you. >> thanks, meisha. now, for more on the breaking news, meisha's been talking about on columbus boulevard. >> deadly accident has killed two people, let's go back there live. here's what we know at this point. it happened around 2:30 this morning when a car driving at a high rate of speed hit a

median, then slammed into the peco building by oregon avenue. the two people killed were in the back seat, two other people were taken to the hospital. police are investigating whether drugs or alcohol played a factor. >> one man is dead, another hurt, after a shooting in wynnefield, but police may have some leads in the case. a 28 year old man was shot on the 5,000 block of city avenue. he died at presbyterian hospital. a 30 year old man was also hit by a bullet, eyewitnesses gave a description of the shooter and the get-away car. a car matching that description was stopped in germantown, but so far police haven't arrested anyone. >> a nine year old boy is in the hospital after police say he found a gun in the second floor bedroom of his home, and shot himself in the finger. the boy lives on the 1500 block of south 32nd street, in grays ferry. his mother rushed him to the hospital and police are questioning other family members who were home at the time. >> well the stage is set and

the countdown is on. >> today's parade of champions for the villanova wildcats is just eight hours away. it is set to run from 20th and market to dilworth park. "eyewitness news" reporter pat gallen is live in center city where thousands are expected to honor the national champions. good morning, pat. >> reporter: good morning, guys, yes, we're out here at dilworth plaza getting ready for the villanova celebration later today as you said, starts at 1:00. this is the ending spot right outside of city hall at dilworth. you can see barricades up already, out in the distance, there there is the stage in the background, the fences are up and ready, yesterday, the city of philadelphia got ready for the big show with some of those barricades up and down market street, as women. and over here along 15th street, try to keep it safe for the spectators. now, thousands are expected to join the champs along the parade route, which runs from 20th and market to dilworth plaza. everyone wants a glimpse of the kids who brought home the hardware after that win over

carolina kids were treated to welcome home on campus, after that return, now the big celebration is here at 1:00. coming up, now, yesterday, to prepare for the parade, ryan arcidiacono decided to get a fresh haircut. he let me tag along with him. now, even trips to wawa present some big challenges for him. >> what was that wawa trip like were you telling me about? >> me and a couple went to wawa, everyone stopped, looked at us, once one person came up and asked for a picture, then it was like ten people, it was pretty cool experience. >> not even autographs any more, it is snap photos, put it on instagram. >> even the wawa workers were asking for auto grafted pictures and stuff, snap chat, too. >> got to love. that will also in the house, chris jenkins who told me it has been crazy few days as you recall his brother nate bridge played for north carolina they say they talk for two hours after the game. nate said if he had to lose, he's okay with losing to his brother in that way, even though there was some heart

wawa where the two girls were just moments earlier. meanwhile, sherrie armor, the woman accused of abduct ago baby from the king of prussia mall, is out of jail. the 30 year old, 32 year old from tredyffrin, posted bail yesterday. she is facing numerous charges including kidnapping of a minor and false imprisonment. last week police say she befriend add woman at the mall then took off with her baby. the baby was not injured. >> turning now to campaign 2016. bernie sanders and hillary clinton just wrapped up campaigning in philadelphia. and their war of words is heating up. >> on the gop side, ted cruz and john kasich are battling to defeat donald trump in the upcoming new york contest. don champion reports. >> ♪ >> with the contested convention looming, donald trump is preparing for a fight, thursday put veteran republican strategies in charge every convention preparations, and organizing delegate. trump also pick up the support of former new york city mayor,

quiet at least over the local area. still breezy out there. actually still tracking you can see over my shoulder, in fact, we start by going full screen, hint of snow showers, still out there. and they are holding together pretty well across central pennsylvania. so, we will see how we do here. i don't want to totally rule out that the north and west most suburbs may ends up with a couple of flakes out there. but, generally, we do expect that this will start to dissipate. we are generally looking at pretty quiet day. we zoom it around on storm scan real quickly. at the wider zoom, see again wrap around moisture as the first system retreat, back side of it, there is actually another disturbance starting to get its act together across wisconsin, drops south, heads our way, eventually ends up with the potential for snow. so to tomorrow morning, things should start to just be getting un way here folks. depending where up, it is cold enough, you might end one some snow initially or might just be rain, certainly the more far east, see how things rotate through, the disturbance rotating through,
