"eyewitness news" reporter rahel solomon is live outside city hall with a look at the two commissioners, one of whom tonight is making history. >> reporter: jessica, good evening. that is right. this is first time that we met the new philadelphia fire commissioner, he says that he is eager for the role and eager to move in the role but recognized that there will be challenges. the prison's commissioner she's known within the prison system but this new role is historic one for philadelphia. he is the first, female prison commissioner in philadelphia history. >> i was excited there was a woman we picked because i do believe there needs to set aid tone with some of the people in our custody that it is not just about punishment but redemption and it business moving forward in their lives.

called police after finding body parts, including a foot, in plastic bags left in the recycling bin. >> we're working closely with the rick tim's family, all of the evidence leads in the the direction of that particular victim. >> reporter: detectives connected the two cases searched line's home for evidence and identified charlton as a suspect. >> we used some forensic evidence dealing with telephone calls and cell towers by utilizing those we were led to the suspect early on. >> reporter: neighbors say charlton had been a staying in this home. he was arrested monday and book in the king county jail on suspicion of murder. the investigation ongoing. police found line's missing car late monday night and they are looking into whether charlton could be tied to similar crimes. >> we will look at other crimes and if any of them seem to be similar in a experience we will continue down that road. >> reporter: line's friend say this was not a first date. the two met on line in february or march and had been dating since then. there were more arrests

stemming from the terror attacks in brussels and paris. two more men are charged in the brussels bombings. they allegedly were involved in renting an apartment in the neighborhood here. that apartment was reportedly a hide out the for men who launched the a tack in brussels. also separately three others were detained in belgium in connection to the paris attacks, 14 people are now being held in belgium, relate to go both attacks. north carolina governor pat mcrory is responding to criticism of the gender specific bathroom law with the executive order. that order prohibits work place discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. the it also allows people to sue, in state court, over discrimination, something that has been wiped out by the controversial law. it does not, however, change any language regarding transgendered residents and what rest rooms they can use. the deadline to reach an agreement between verizon and union workers is fast approaching.

police in central california captured the exact moment, a sinkhole opens up, and you can see it for yourself. take a look here, you see roadway open and then collapsed. so far a 12-foot by 15-foot section of the roadway has fallen. it hit a sewage line about 20 feet below the surface. police say recent rains could have had something to do with that collapse. new crash tests results reveal a mixed bag for large pick up trucks. the study was done by insurance institute for highway safety, forward f150 super cab had best performance, others that did well are the chevy silverado and toyota tundra double cab models. dodge ram did not do as well. >> doing well enough in these crash tests. >> this vehicle class is not

and now new research find a connection between teen acne and a increased risk of medical nome. when you have excess acne you do have excess hormones as well so people are thinking maybe acne associated with certain cancers. >> reporter: researchers followed a group of hundred thousand nurses for 20 years starting in 1989. they watched for different types of cancer including melanoma and took note of any history of severe teenage acne, kind with cysts and boils. >> of those hundred thousand 350 ended up developing melanoma, that is about a one and a half times higher rate then would you expect. >> reporter: doctors say you may not be able to to anything about acne causing hormones but you can do things to prevent melanoma. >> it is just something you need to be careful, try to avoid tanning bed and heavy sun exposure without sun screen in the future. >> reporter: future studies could look into whether altering hormones link to acne might reduce risk of melanoma.
