"eyewitness news" reporter justin finch joins us live outside the board of education just near the site of yesterday's tragedy, justin, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, brook and jim. we are told about this time yesterday doctor steven mayer was out for a jog with his dog when both were struck and killed. the driver reportedly a 17 year-old robbinsville high school student and now the superintendent, meant so much is being mourned. >> it is a great loss. with us a great loss. >> reporter: for that great loss a great tribute, a sundown celebration of the doctor steven mayer's life, the five two-year old robbinsville school superintendent inspired young and old, students and faculty, staff and strangers.

people gathered to remember him at foxmore pavilion tuesday evening. >> it the is just amazing. i never would have suspect so many people coming. it is just such a tribute to how many lives he touched. >> he knows, he has planted the seeds, that when this passes that we will be able to get beyond and continue to grow as a community and a school district. >> reporter: about 6:15 tuesday morning, reports of the fatal pedestrian involved car accident off robbinsville edinburg road, behind the wheel a 17 year-old high school student who remained on the scene. she was cooperative with police authorities say, the victim doctor mayer out jogging with his dog, both were killed. >> our two families that are involved in this tragedy, both doctor mayer's and student's family and we are praying for them all. >> reporter: robbinsville suspended a second day of school. >> life is just so short. he was just such a great lieutenant and for

robbinsville overall, high school, middle school, sharon elementary. just a wonderful man. >> reporter: we are told that grief counselors will be on hand, for those who need it. also, meantime, at this time we know the investigation, continues into this accident. the driver, a 17 year-old student, has in the been identified, we are told she was on her way to a field trip at the time of the wreck. no word if any arrests or charges at that time. brook and jim, back over to you. >> thanks, justin. meanwhile in campaign 2016, news that both hillary clinton and donald trump both love new york after winning big in their home state primaries. trump won 60 percent of the vote giving him a huge hall, of at least 89 delegate. john kasich likely will get three delegates and ted cruz is shut out with none. the clinton won 58 percent of the vote and scoops up 135 delegates, bernie sanders gets 104 as hena daniels report clinton has about 80 percent

we have some breaking news from ecuador where a huge, after shock, just rattled the region. >> this morning 6.1 magnitude jolt, was the most powerful after shock since saturday's 7.8 quake killed hundreds of people. while there are no immediate reports of the injuries the after shock complicates rescue efforts that have been underway since saturday. >> one man who was buried under a flattened hotel managed to call his wife from under the ruble. fire fighters rushed to free the man, he was the only one pulled out alive. now to the historic flooding in texas, more than 1200 people rescued including these two kyackers in northwestern counties. the current was so rough they grabbed on to tree branches so they wouldn't be swept down the creek. good smart tans lowered a strap to pull them to safety

at a nearby overpass. here's a staggering number, estimated 240 billion gallons of rain, fell in the the houston area in just the past two days. they just can't get a break down there, can they, katie. >> and they are looking at more wet weather, again, today guys. the it is unfortunate the way it is set up. it means gorgeous weather for us but this blocking area of high pressure has meant any storms that has started to develop they just get stuck and they have got so much more moisture to draw upon: they can erupt with nasty thunderstorms for one thing because meeting up with cold air and it is also so much intense rainfall. more of it falling across lone star state. this will be migrating east bringing witt wet weather to our area let me walk you through. that we will look the at high pressure here through the rest of the day to day and through better part of the tomorrow, however, eventually that storm will make its arrival here and it will come in the form of the, just building clouds tomorrow, it stays dry through

second. first a live look outside the boulevard in the southbound direction, plenty of headlights now. now that we have cracked in the 6:00 o'clock hour we have pushed toward our main rush hour 7:00 a.m., and, looking at, overall, those things are good. dry roadways, sunnies coming up, pack your sunglasses, we say that every day. you will need them again today which is a great thing. it is a blessing and curse all wrapped into one. schuylkill westbound at city avenue this is what you are looking at. not so much, traveling, at 55 miles an hour. would i say you are dropping now as we are seeing brake lights go up. blue route headlights moving in the northbound direction at route one you can see both side moving in the northbound direction, southbound direction either way you are starting to heat up the blue route as well. so, delaware memorial bridge, this is what you are looking at trying to get on the bridge, condense into one lane. emergency construction replaced three suspension ropes on the delaware memorial bridge, three southbound lanes are closed, one is opened, this started yesterday, and it will be going on for several days. commodore barry bridge is your best alternate, brook, over to

this will go on for several days. primarily going to affect 295 and the new jersey turnpike. what we are looking at a little bit ago is just an unbelievable amount of vehicles all trying to get into a single file lane, line right now. speed restrictions are down to 35 miles an hour. your best bet for an alternate would be the commodore barry bridge but we know with how many vehicles will be going over the bridge, that will be just as busy, almost just as busy. so take a look at this, this is what you are looking at. we will not getaway from this anytime soon. all right. moving on, this is also where we have got sewer main repairs. this is construction we had yesterday that was supposed to clear by noon, it lingered and now extend to go today. hartford road is closed between sixth have avenue and union mill road. use alternate, same as what we saw yesterday, briggs road, larchmont boulevard or arc road. busy day indeed. jim, over to you.

well, classes are canceled again in robbinsville, new jersey. new jersey community is still in shock over sudden death of their school superintendent. hundreds of people attended a vigil for doctor steve mayer last night. mayer was struck and killed tuesday while out jogging near a high school. driver is a robbinsville high school student, and so far no charges have been filed. bill cosby's wife finished testimony in the defamation suit, seven women filed against her house bob, camille cosby sat down under oath for more than five hours. women contend that the philadelphia been comedian called them liars after they went public with sexual assault allegations against him. cosby denies the allegations. in just a few hour michigan's attorney general will announce first criminal charges in the flint water crisis. two state regulators and treatment plant supervisor, accusations accused -- include violating water laws and evidence tampering. more than 50 lawsuits have been filed this year begins

replace three suspension ropes or cables on the delaware memorial bridge. three out of the four southbound lanes are block. that means all of these vehicles, waiting, are going into a single file line or lane, yikes. most delays are on 295, new jersey turnpike and also once you get on the bridge there is speed restrictionness play. down to 35 miles an hour, because crews are also working. so your alternate is going to be the commodore barry bridge but i can tell you that basically any bridge right now is heating up, because everyone is trying to avoid it. now this is where we have some construction, eastbound walt whitman bridge, right lane blocked to route 30. but we are seeing and hearing reports of the delays westbound because of what is happening on the delaware memorial bridge on the walt whitman bridge. so make note that would be moving in the westbound direction. yikes. that is going to be some hefty slow downs, so if you can avoid it, trust me you will want to do so. look at that sunshine, beautiful, delaware county, i-95 north you'll need them,
