through portions of delaware, southwest new jersey at this point for scattered thunderstorms and heavy downpours, gusty win, and marginal risk for stronger storms to erupt over chester, delco, philadelphia count ills. soap, that said, today's going to be one of those just unsettled days. it is not a wash out casino of like yesterday was, but certainly not press teen, either. upper 40's the current temperature at both philadelphia international airport, as well as atlantic city, at 42 degrees, up in mount pocono, with pretty good consistency with the area temperatures even in the most remote suburbs. but, we do still at least have chance to warm it up to 70 degrees today in the city. that said, i do think you'll see at least some sunshine, but, you will also have to dodge some additional showers, maybe thunderstorm like we said, that's really any time. so it is not ideal, meisha, but also not horrible. >> right. >> it is sort of those nothing we can do about it anyway. may as well make the best of it. >> very good point. >> thanks, katie. good morning, everyone, happy monday to you. here is a look at the schuylkill eastbound past 202,

this is what you are looking at, certainly starting to heat up in this area, both moving in the eastbound and westbound sides. we can expect it on the schuylkill basically any monday it will get busy push willing into the 6:00 hour. ben franklin bridge, totally back out of the way, so you can really see this, you can see that fog in the air. that's going to give you some visibility issues, moving in the westbound direction though from jersey over the ben franklin bridge, actually looking pretty good. we look at the vine, getting real busy specially moving in the westbound direction of the vine, trying to exit on the schuylkill, also the eastbound side actually looking pretty good. it is the westbound side i have my eye on. just hitting the vine any time soon, just know that the vine certainly starting to heat up now. construction south broad street repaving between oregon avenue and 95. 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., also, seven p.m. to 6:00 a.m., weekdays until may 20th, almost through the entire month of may. i'll be tweet that out to you as well, jim, over to you. >> thanks so. atlantic city mayor is about to make his toughest decision yet. >> he has to choose between paying off a bond, or becoming the first municipality in the state to default since the

"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo live on the boardwalk, jan? >> reporter: brooke, jim, good morning, that's right. atlantic city would become the first municipality here in new jersey since fort lee to default. that happened back in 1938. that borough went onto declare bankruptcy later late that year. here in atlantic city this is the issue, $1.8 million bond payment is due today. but the mayor is uncertain if the city has the money to cover that payment, and continue to pay for city services, so his decision, expected to be announced at 11:00 today. >> if atlantic city default on its bonds it, would be the first new jersey municipality to do so in 78 years, and it, could impact the entire state. because in atlantic city default could hurt new jersey's credit rating. now atlantic city bond payment was tech neckly due on sunday, but the city gets extra day since the due date fell on weakenment and today, the city is expected to receive it next tax payments.

but mayor don guardian says it is unclear if that will provide enough cash to cover what's due. this latest predicament comes as state leaders continue to argue over plans to help atlantic city avoid bankruptcy, the state senate has passed a take over plan supported by governor chris christie, but democratic assembly speaker vincent preateo has refused to put it up for vote in that chamber partly because it would allow the state to break union contract of the preateo induced his own plan that would give the city two years to fix its issues before the take-overtakes effect. >> in 20144 casinos closed along the board walk here in ac, the mayor said that swept away 70% of the tax revenue here in atlantic city. we'll continue to follow this story. again, big decision being made at 11:00 a.m. for now, reporting live in atlantic city, jan carabeo, cbs-3, "eyewitness news", jim, brooke, back to you. >> thanks a lot, jan. happening today former penn state assistant football coach jerry sandusky trunk center

>> where did you go? >> i know, i know, you guys always get confused by the background, it is just a background, this is really just to show you once more, guys, we do sit in a rainfall deficit. do still night rain. that's one thing to consider, when we are going into what looks to be pretty unsettled pattern in the next couple of days since march 1st we are still over 3 inches shy, 3 inches in deficit of rainfall. and really six out of the next seven days we'll likely have some rain to at least sort of scale back some, trim away at some of the deficit here. looking at the more region wide zoom, brunt of any wet weather is primarily confined through central and northern pennsylvania, and it does look like some of this will be rolling through our area, as women. not wash out by any stretch, but you will be eventually dealing and dodging with some showers and maybe even thunderstorm. now the further southwest you travel the more likely it is you run into few thunderstorm, that turn little locally strong, heavy downpours, gusty win, something we have to keep an eye on here throughout the course of the afternoon specially, but for now,

visibility is pretty poor. it is damp, cool nothing more than spotty showers, i would say more than anything that xfactor is you what got in terms of visibility with the low clouds, low ceilings, dew point very close to the actual air temperatures, so please keep that in mine. you might be running into that, as you travel. now, that said throughout the rest of the day, spec we eventually hit 07. should see few breaks of sunshine as the day goes on, but, yes, every day, bridges a long with it something in the way of wet weather. umbrellas probably most required tuesday, thursday, but it is one every these spotty showers that roll on through. still outdoor plans in on handful of the days if you really want to. >> like we live in seattle. >> what it feels like, ya. you're right. >> trip to seattle. please don't say that. oh, my sister lives there. lord no. all right, well, yes, talking rain, whenever we are talking rain we have to talk about traffic, as well. right now most areas that we are looking at roadways still looking dry, we know that will change little bit. we do have accident out there.

what you are being look at right now is the schuylkill westbound at gulph mills. pulled all the way off to the right. you can see, they are out there. whatever we have anyone out on foot you just want to use extra caution. not to mention the fact you will probably get little gaper delay since lost the far right lanas well. so right lane, the shoulder there, the boulevard taillights moving in the southbound direction, at the schuylkill here, looking good. i would actually say that right here actually looking pretty darn looking, once on the schuylkill, westbound at city avenue heating up little bit here. you can see westbound side, looking very busy, and also, when you lock just beyond those trees, kind of hard to see but when you see the headlights you know it is busy moving in the eastbound site as well. the schuylkill you are busy. give yourself extra time, i would highly rec doing so. delaware county, 452, look at this, look at that fog, letting you know you will have some major visibility issues out there this morning, jim, brooke, over to you. >> now for look at newspaper headlines, from across our region. >> the times of trenton report police searching foreman who

monday. accident cleared, schuylkill, past gulph mills, belonging the right lane. now you can see it is all back to normal. looking good although we are starting to see obviously levels build at this point. evidence hereby 95 south at cottman, coming around the s curve little brake lights every now and then but overall things holding i would say somewhat steady. but certainly starting to heat up far cry from what we saw even 30 minute ago. blue route before the schuylkill, another area starting to see it heat up, overall giving you look outside. what you are looking at, looking okay. just thinking about hitting the roadways right now, that's the good news, no accident out there, to report, where we had earlier accident, that cleared, then we still have some downed wires here, downed pole, in hatfield, copper road closed 40-foot road. use alternate, best bet is main street or welsh rd. to get around that. and also, in the world of mass transit, ac rail line is bussing because of bridge repairs on that area, and look at these date, april 30th to may six, also may 14th, to may 20th, and i'll be tweeting
