cristina grimmie. memorial services set for tonight in burlington county. >> "eyewitness news" report are cleve bryan has more. >> reporter: cristina grimmie was a young woman off chasing a dream and never lost their connection to hometown of evesham township, new jersey. they attended viewing friday and remembered her as a child sitting at their church fellowship alliance chapel. >> it was delightful, and heavenly, fun, and she just always wanted to, please people and be happy. >> it life dimmed too soon. kevin lit from st. petersberg florida gunned her down after a performance in orlando. >> i think it was a shock. i think it was painful. she had a trajectory in terms of where she was going where her life was going and to have it end all quickly and suddenly, violently, it was really a shock to a lot of people especially young people. >> reporter: after leaving for california to pursue music, grimmie returned to evesham township several times to

perform. many fans came out to say good bye. >> we're hoping today is a day of a celebration, of all of the people that she touched, and cristina touched so many people. whether they were, you know, young rising, 16 year-old girls who wanted to be like her or even older people and understood thaw can create a dream, chase a dream and accomplish a dream. >> reporter: line of peering pouring in the church has been continuous since the public viewing began at 3:00 p.m. the memorial services is scheduled for 8:00 o'clock. grimmie was actually laid to rest, yesterday, in a private services with her family. in medford i'm cleve bryan, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". returning now to our top story is there still a lot of information, police in bucks county are trying to piece together. >> twelve girls were found inside of a man's home, "eyewitness news" reporter joe holden is live outside lower southampton police department with a disturbing details,

joe. >> reporter: natasha, jessica, good evening. police are calling this one of the most bizarre cases they have investigated in recent memory. earlier this morning and last night 12 children pulled from outside of this house here on old street road, and at this point right now they are telling us that they are described to be amish. investigators say not a single child has a birth certificate and they weren't enrolled in area schools. investigators say a 18 year-old woman at this residence was apparently the mother of a three-year old child and infant. police say that 18 year-old was sexually assaulted for years by this man take a look at that picture on your screen, thinks lee kaplan, a 51 year-old man from the 400 block of old street road here. police say this case blew wide opened, after children and youth of bucks county were referred to the case from a child line reporting service. it is unknown if any of the other 11 children were subjected to abuse inside of this home. neighbors tell me they

complained, three years ago, that something did not appear to be right, we spoke to police within the hour. they brought us up to speed on their up vestgation. >> we believe they are originally from lancaster county, amish community, right now we're working on getting an expert with amish culture, to help us conduct interviews for these child ren. >> reporter: back live now also charged in this case is daniel and seville stoltz fuss of lancaster county. they are believed to be the natural parents of these 12 children, pulled from this house. the root of all of this police are only saying that it appeared to be some sort of a business agreement, between the stoltzfuss and kaplan but again neighbors telling us that for years, they have been making complaints about this and now, all of this activity, of course, stay with cbs-3 for latest on the case. reporting live from

feasterville i'm joe holden for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". funeral plans have yet to be announced for an 18 year-old philadelphia one killed in it or land owe nightclub shooting. akyra murray was recent graduate and headed to college with a scholarship before she was killed on sunday. also tonight new details are emerging about the shoot are omar mateen. a law enforcement the source tells cbs news that he was a regular in on line chat rooms specifically searching to meet up with both men and women. cbs news also reports that a search into mateen's electronic history he posted his allegiance to al qaeda on facebook right before carrying out the attack. he called 911 and tv station, and texted his wife during the police standoff. "cbs evening news" with scott pelley will have more on the developments coming out of orlando, that is coming up, at 6:30 right here after "eyewitness news" at 6:00. montgomery county woman is charged with murder in the death of her elderly neighbor.

authorities say that elizabeth floyd attacked 96 year-old albert payne in his driveway last december. he suffered a hip fracture and later died causing officials to rule this a homicide. the motive for the alleged attack is unclear. another developing story, at this hour, all lanes of the commodore barry bridge are completely shut down at the moment, this is because of an accident that took place near middle of the bridge which connects chester to new jersey. you can see one koran top of the other and at least one other cara peers to be involved in this. there are reports of injuries, at this point. we don't know the extent of those injuries but again all lanes are close todd traffic at this hour. we will bring you up to date at our newscast as well. jury deliberations continue in the conspiracy trial of the congressman chaka fattah but one juror has been kick out for not participating. the jury begun deliberations from scratch this morning on the second day, since they received the case. the judge told them one juror

has not been involved, and we learned yesterday, about some sort of a problem in the jury room after just four hours of deliberations. fattah is accused of using money from federal grants and donations to pay off an illegal campaign than loan. parents are outraged, after a fight breaks out at the philip randolph high school graduation ceremony in philadelphia, "eyewitness news" cameras were rolling at the independence sea port museum on penns landing. fire commissioner adam thiel was prior to speak at the time when several adults started fighting. we see them comforting the little boy who witnessed the mala. parents tell us that the fight may have been over seats. >> it is ridiculous, ridiculous that adults cannot behave themselves in a proper manner. my first born's graduation and here people are fighting like animals. i felt very embarrassed. >> police did not make any arrests, the graduation did go on as scheduled.

police in abington township are investigating after a series of home break ins overnight. total of five homes were targeted in jenkintown. one of the break ins happened in the 1,000 block of huntington road. thieves got away with video systems, lap tops, other electronics and cash. police say two other homes targeted were 2 miles away on thorpe road but the intended burglaries were stopped by security locks on the windows. philadelphia mayor jim kenney set to sign the sugary drink tax into law on monday. critics called that unconstitutional and they are preparing for a legal fight. "eyewitness news" reporter alexandria hoff explains whether opponents have a legal leg to stand on. >> reporter: effective january e distributors will be taxed one and a half sent per ounce of sugary and diet beverages distributed throughout philadelphia. city council gave their final 13-four vote yesterday, right

after opposition found immediately legal action. >> we believe we're on strong legal ground. we will see what they do how they do it, how they approach it. >> reporter: mayor jim kenney says tax will raise 90 million-dollar a year to fund expanded prek and other community projects. critics raised concerns after it was revealed that a small portion will actually go to the cities general fund. >> that whole thing should go to the kid. >> reporter: bigger question has become is this legal? first, the state already taxes sweetened drinks and pennsylvania law override city law. >> the response to that by the city is and city council is this isn't a sales tax it is a tax on distributors. >> reporter: other issue has to do with commonwealth's uniformity clause. >> it means that a tax has to be applied uniformly evenly across the board. this tax for a significant
