"eyewitness news" reporter justin finch live outside st. christopher hospital where he just talk to the young victim's family.

justin? brooke brooke jan, identified him as six year old mahaj brown, say he suffered at least ten gunshot, already undergone several surgeries, now in critical condition here at st. christopher areas, now urging anyone who knows anything about what happened to come forward, now, his grandparent, chris and dolores melendez, shared this picture of him with us. he is a friendly, bright child, and a fighter. you should be seeing his picture now. they believe he will pull through this, and they tell us he was a way for his late night transport from einstein, to st. christopher areas, and they do believe if he saw his attackers that he will be able to share that information with police. let's take you now to the crime scene. from last night, bullets rang out about 11:23, thursday night toll 5500 block of west clarkson street on to the 500 block of east ashmead. and nearby, over on the 5500 block of wooster street,

14th district police found two shooting victims, in the front seat of a gray pontiac. we now know one of them six year old mahaj, second man age 29 shot in his chest, stomach, both arms and one leg, that man is now listed as critical over at einstein, described as family friends driving mahaj short distance over to his grandmother's house last night. then likely en route to a hospital before police eventually got them there. two other men ages 29 and 32, were shot, as well, in the same area one in his arm, the other in his leg, not inside that car. now what police hope to learn if any of those injured were actually shooters themselves, so far, they have found shell casings of assault style and high caliber weapons, in this violent crime scene, big mo now done big harm to four victims, especially little mahaj, his grandmother described his injuries for us. take a listen.

is one of the most heart breaking things i've ever heard. wow. justin, thanks. >> this is actually the second child someone shot in this same neighborhood this week. six year old girl recovering after she was shot in her arm tuesday night about a mile away on the 6300 block of north woodstock street. police say 21 shots were fired here, also, at st. christopher. >> investigator still searching for a suspect. >> happening today penn state assistant football coach jerry sandusky set to testify as he fights for new trial, sandusky is serving a 30 to 60 year sentence for sexually abusing ten boys. will have a chance to make his case to get new trial during three day hearing in center county. our greg greg argos spoke yestey with sandusky's wife, dottie. she did not want to be recorded but she said she will be at the hearing, we'll of course have complete coverage of the hearing later today on "eyewitness news". >> pennsylvania attorney

>> a a viewing head last night for caleb schwab, suffered fatal neck injury on a slide sunday. we know two other women riding with him are sisters. one suffered a broken jaw, the other a fractured orbital bone. they are now meeting with a attorney. >> and the roller coaster at soak zone outside bits purring is closed today after three year old boy was thrown from the ride yesterday. he was riding with his brother when it happened. the boy was conscious, as he was air lifted to the hospital. we do not know how he's doing this morning, or what may have caused the accident. a texas mother is still shaken up this morning after finding out a security camera in her daughter's bedroom was broadcasting to the world.
