right now. and depending where you are, it is actually kind of cool outside. so, depending on where you're waking up with us this morning, you may want to think about just grabbing a light jacket on your way out the door. ya, wait until you see some of these temperatures, we start it off very quickly here is a look at storm scan, which at the moment is totally empty. sometimes having nothing at all to show on storm scan, is in its very, in itself, good story to tell. we do have high pressure, nice singing air for you, that has led to this nice clear sky, which has allowed the temperatures to drop. not looking at the air temperatures, thee are the dew points, that's the measurement of what it feels like. how comfortable this? the lower the number gets the drier the air, air go the more comfortable it will be, the better hair day. these are incredibly low. starting to feel humid, about 65 or so, so that said, it is feeling good. we've got nice calm wind across the board, little bit of something for everybody, you have got 60s at the airport, 50's in atlantic city and mid 40's in mount pocono.

"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo is live on campus where preparations are already underway for student rivals later this morning. hey, jan? >> reporter: brooke, jim, good morning, that's right, hanging out inside say err hall here at widener university, in chester this morning, one of the freshman dorms on campus. see the halls, pretty quiet right now, but will soon change in a matter of couple of hours, 600 freshman student moving in today as you mention, the freshman class, class of 2020. doesn't that make you feel old until to to does. that's okay. excitement already building, already found a student, terrell bog since here, actually been here since thursday, guys. part of pre orientation, how are you feeling? >> i'm feeling great. how about you? >> even this early in the morning? you are a freshman college student now. >> i'm always great. >> you're always great. where are you from and what are you doing here at widener once you get started next sneak. >> i'm from glassboro, i'm going pt psych is my major.

bed is made up and everything. i set my dorm up pretty well. i'm pretty sure my roommate will like it, too. >> catherine, the assistant dean for student development and engagement. thanks for waking up with us this morning, i know you have big day ahead. what's advice for parents that might be dropping their first time college student off today? >> sure. some of the best advice to take a breath, take it in, it is a very nerve wracking day, most families have and ankle tie, students are anxious, everything goes wrong that morning get being ready to go. but take a breath. allow the people there to help, the volunteers, to really help you get transitioned and get settled so they can get settle for orientation. >> everyone has a time moving in today? so there won't be a mad rush? >> i know, a lot of anxiety, we try to help with that. that's allowing student know what their time slot in, so they can come in short small groups, so there isn't a cluster. makes it more efficient, little more comfortable for them in check in time. >> soak it n take some time it remember. give a big hug at the end of

seminarians moving in today, 18 from the archdioces of philadelphia. fall classes officially begin this thursday. >> the school facing deadline before student show up. workers installing new heating and air-conditioning system at vineland high school south campus found asbestos in walls and ceilings. now, this is a known carcinogen. it appears to be contained to a wing of the school that includes the cafeteria and band room. the district says the removal is on schedule, but there is a plan b, if it is not done by the start of school september 6. >> wife ' discussed what sessions having some student in the morning, some in the afternoon, but that's resort. we don't think it will dom that. >> the school district says it will not open the affected portion of the school until they're sure, the asbestos is gone, and there is no health risk. well, still ahead, hear from new jersey police officer who helped rescue a family from their burning home. >> we'll have that for you when we come back.
