church congregation. >> good afternoon. >> i'm jim donovan. let's get over to anita oh, joins us near the scene in overbrook where firefighters placed four alarm fire under control just about an hour ago. good afternoon. >> reporter: good afternoon, brooke and jim. officials tell us though this fire is now under control, flames are still smoldering inside, and will still take several days before it is safe enough for investigators to get inside. take a look at the scene now. you can see smoke still billowing out of this church, more than 120 firefighters and officials have been on the scene this morning, trying to put out this blaze, and they're expected to remain here for the rest of the day, the pastor of good shepherd presbyterian church appears the 100 year old church is total lost after this four alarm fire gutted it this morning, and also collapsed part of this roof, but thankfully several people inside and two cats made it out safely. officials say the fire appears to have started in the basement, where there is a boiler, and the blaze also gutted the sanctuary, richard

gunfire near her home on the 900 block every south eighth street last wednesday night. camden authorities and the citizens crime commission of the delaware valley are offering $50,000 for information on those gunmen. police say man who was punched in the face from lawncrest has died from his injuries. happened in the 700 block of adams avenue friday. investigators say the victim was hit then fell and hit his head. he died over the weekend. if you have any information on the attacker, please call police right away. in other news, three teenage boys are recovering this noon, after they were hit by gunfire in philadelphia's grays ferry neighborhood overnight. "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo tells us what police found at the scene, that could help them track down the suspects. evidence of a shoot-out tasker street monday. police say two groups exchanged gunfire just after midnight and when the dust settled, three teenagers were left bleeding in the street. a 16 and 17 year old shot in

the leg, and another 16 year old shot in the back. today, south detectives are trying to figure out who pulled the trigger and if the teenagers were the targets or innocent bystanders. >> there is even a possibility that some of these victims may have been involved in the shooting. they may have been firing shots also. we're not ruling that out. >> police are hoping surveillance video can help sort it all out. found private cameras at nearby business, also have this police real-time camera, located just about a block away. >> early this morning, police processed the scene and found three parked cars that were hit by stray bullet, along with at least 12 spent shell casings, meanwhile, the three teenagers are in the hospital in stable condition, and as police investigate, they are also reminding neighbors these three teens should never have been outside at the time of the shooting. >> under the age of 18, they're juveniles, they're not adults, so therefore they have to adhere to the curfew rules and they should have been in, should have been home.

police don't yet have motive for the shooting and don't have description of the shooter or shooters. they say one suspect may have left the scene in a white older model car possibly a nissan. in grays ferry, jan carabeo, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> philadelphia police investigating another sexual assault involving man on a bicycle, happened over the weekend saturday night at around 11. police say woman was walking along the 1600 block of brain bridge, from south broad street, when a man road by on a bike and groped her. police have not determined if this is related to several other recent incident, last week, investigators released surveillance video of man on bike, riding up to a woman, touching her, and riding off. the incident have happened in east passyunk, and washington square west neighborhoods. >> turning now to our weather the month of august is wrapping on a hot and humid note. let's get first look at the forecast with meteorologist, justin drabick, live on the cbs-3 skydeck. how does it feel outside?

4 inches of rain. >> and were you saying earlier we could use little rain. >> we could use the rain, down about three and half inches so far this summer. but that's not terrible. but been little dry. we could easily get that in a thunderstorm or two, but tracking tropical systems, height of tropical season, so doctor to -- so have to keep an eye, moving through the peak of it, which is september 10th, good place to be right now, down the shore, still warm, temperatures right now, generally in the lower to mid 80s along the coastline, jam packed beach in ocean sit. why not? we've got the sunshine, nice waiving rolling in, nothing huge, coming from hurricane gaston, some energy from some of the dwells, so producing some stronger rip currents. started pretty much yesterday, will continue pretty much all week long, so make sure lifeguards are on duty, plan on entering the water, and tea safe. it has been hot this summer, we all know it for philadelphia and like lick this will be the hottest august we've had on record, records go back to 1874. that's pretty impressive.

so far, the average august temperature, lows and high's, averaged out 81 degrees, our 30 year average 76.6, well above that. and likely that june, july and august, of this year, will likely become the second warmest ever. so warmest ever meteorological summer for philadelphia, and so far, 38, 990 agree plus days, this season. we will add one today, and possibly maybe another one or two more before the month is over. eighty-nine right now at the area port, 86 wilmington, this is not factoring in humidity, when do you so, does feel like the lower 90s, shore temperature warm, 86 degrees, 82 stone harbor, 86 in the water. that will feel real good if you are hitting the ocean. how is it feeling out there? pretty steamy today, increased humidity levels compared to yesterday. tomorrow backs off little bit. we have some fluctuation going with the humidity level. wednesday the worse of it, thursday nice, and it will stay nice, looks like, throughout the the upcoming holiday weekend. good news if you have outdoor plans at this point. pretty clear right now, few

afternoon clouds rolling through, dry cold front swings by. doesn't really drop temperatures much. there is what's left or what we're dealing with, tropical depression number eight. some showers off the carolina coast, eventually that storm gets kicked back out to say satisfy, shear gaston, still good looking hurricane winds at 110. eventually gets kicked out more out to sea, swells reaching our area beaches, so we have the strong rip currents. cuba right now, heavy rainfall, tropical depression number nine, which will impact south florida and eventually northern florida, as well, then closer to home the carolina storm, tropical depression number eight. so we're here at the tracks. right now tropical depression winds at 35 miles per hour. getting little closer to the carolinas, outer banks, then eventually head off shore. and weaken in time, maybe bring some clouds to parts of our southern viewing area. we go down south. tropical depression number nine, expected to intensify to tropical storm, maybe crossing near tampa later this week, then back out over the atlantic waters. so rip countries being stay at moderate risk today, pretty

much through all of the upcoming week, headed into labor day weekends. here is our set up. cool front pushes out the humidity little bit. dry tomorrow, high pressure locks us in, with sunshine, same deal on wednesday, and then we get the stronger front that finally bridges some changes to our forecast. so the jet stream, takes a dive southwards, by the end of the week, cooler start to september, so nice refreshing air mass builds in. hot, humid today. 91 degrees, maybe stray shower, with the front coming in. tonight clear, warm, 68. that's the extended forecast. august finishing off strong. around 90 degrees, and we will drop the temperatures below average friday, below 80. that's a good looking forecast, labor day weekends, we've got the sunshine, of course watch the tropical -- >> just stop where you're at. i like where you're at. >> thanks, justin.
