vent even back into a hurricane and potentially stall off the new jersey coastline, as we head into next week. so it is impacting parts of the carolinas coastline, still a well developed looking system. as it exits the carolina coast and over those warm waters of the gulf stream we could potentially see some restrengthening, to hurricane status, tropical storm warning in effect down the eastern see including in our own backyard and they have been extended until monday evening for jersey shore and much of delaware as well. we're likely to see major impact from hermine in the upcoming weekend. the right now tropical storm, 50 miles per hour, movement off to the north east at 20 miles per hour. so you will notice track speeding a lock. the as we head in the upcoming weekend and early next week, really stalling out, the center of hermine stalling just off shore, of the new jersey coastline, and even as we head into next tuesday, and also notice you do notice that the area have of low pressure.

that might make you think it will weaken in the tropical depression. it will transition into an extra or post tropical system that really means nothing in as far as impacts are concerned. because check out these wind speeds. on monday sitting off shore at hurricane strength with wind sustained at 75 miles an hour, even into tuesday, still near hurricane strength, hermine will be as we have had headed into next week. likely to see major impact assenter of hermine will pass very close to our coastline. major impact to the shore. moderate for philly and suburbs. lehigh valley and poconos. minimal impact. the coastal flooding is appearing likely, major to locally, or moderate to potentially major coastal flooding. beach erosion as well. due to the fact that hermine is going to stall off shore, it extend the time frame of these threat as we will see a prolonged time period with that on shore flow down the shore that creates those problems with the coastal flooding and beach erosion as well. so we will talk more about her

very, very wet here. the remnants of hurricane hermine barreling toward philadelphia this afternoon i spoke with some concert goers who are expected to come here as well as those working it about what they are doing to prepare. this labor day weekend thousands will descend around the made in america festival but head lining with rihanna and cold play could be her kaine hermine. >> we will, and we do have a high confidence we will have tidal flooding, erosion, a lot of wind at the shore. >> i'm really excited. >> reporter: concert goers like kylie say they are ready for whatever weather is thrown her way. >> we're preparing, we're a little nervous but we have our umbrellas and punchos ready so hopefully not too bad. >> reporter: you are coming rain or shine. >> yes, i will not miss a chance to see cold play and rihanna. >> reporter: concessions are preparing too but appear to be more worried about the forecast. >> we have to shut everything down if it starts raining real

into the waiting van, and a second suspect allegedly punched the truck driver in the face when he tried to stop them. if you recognize the suspect or the white van, police want to hear from you. take a look at this scene in northeast philadelphia, a car crashed through the fence, over a pool, and right into the support post of a backyard deck. it happened around 3:00 p.m. in the 10,000 block of galehat road. deck collapsed on top of the car. the authorities say no one was hurt and police are still investing. c td c awarded $345,000 -- cdc awarded $345,000 to the department of health. that will help the city track case owes have my row self liz and other health problems associated with zika. other areas like chicago, houston, new york city and l.a. county received funding to track zika out breaks. more than 13,000 state managers and non-union workers in pennsylvania are getting

who lost their son to cancer. >> he is part of the program, almost, the day that he was diagnosed. to see the need of other kids and their families. >> reporter: richard's son died from cancer just before his 15th birthday. his family started a foundation called go for the gold, to help other cancer patients. >> to make the experience, you know, more tolerable so they can get to their goal of beating pediatric cancer. >> soccer players were wearing go for the gold t-shirts, money raised goes to help ease financial burdens for families, grant wishes to kids, support hospital programs, and fund research. >> everybody is helping out, that, you know, it can go a long way with finding a cure some day. that is what we're in the goal for. >> reporter: it is an honor because so many kids, suffer from this. cancer is terrible. there is so much of their childhood lost. quite frankly it is unfair. >> reporter: they cannot fix unfairness but they can bring hope lacing up in gold. stephanie stahl, cbs-3

"eyewitness news". all right, lauren you have been tracking hermine and how are things looking right now. >> not so great. models are coming in. i have to be honest. models coming into agreement that we will see a major impact along the coast, as we head in the upcoming weekend and prolong event as well as hermine is likely to stall off shore of the new jersey coastline as we head into monday and even into early tuesday. it is looking really nice right now. looking live at sky scan three of ocean city new jersey. the it looks like it is picking up but not a cloud in the sky. beautiful conditions. people still out on the beach enjoying themselves and taking in that sunshine because as we head in the upcoming weekend condition will go downhill pretty quickly ape getting a live look at center city philadelphia we have some clouds in place, pretty dense high level cloud cover that is from hermine. that moisture upper level moisture starting to build in right now. temperature at 79 degrees. north east wind at 8 miles an

hour and temperatures in the 70's across much of the the area 78 degrees in allentown. in the 60's in the poconos. we have dryer air spilling in across the area overnight last night and much more comfortable day we had today. so beautiful day before things get much more active as we head into this weekend. for tonight still quiet. partly cloudy, cooler down to 66 degrees. thomas far as philadelphia and the suburbs, the conditions are not going to be so peril less. isolated showers the. the breezy conditions. cloud around. the high temperature of 79 degrees. major impacts will start to be felt down the shore late day tomorrow. made in america festival tomorrow, not great, not bad as we head into sunday. watching out for gusty wind and potential for pocket of heavier rainfall moving through sunday night. storm scan three is showing us high level cloud starting to stream in. it is in association with her mean still off to the south right now. traversing its way along the south carolina coastline. it will continue to move off to the north and east. we have these tropical storm warnings in effect up and down

eastern seaboard for our area, extending until monday evening at 6:00 o'clock. hermine is a tropical storm with wind at 15th 50 miles an hour. it will transition into a post or extra tropical system, so really has no impact as far as the effects we're going to see here but that is why it is dough noted with the l. as it sits off shore on monday wind speeds at 75 miles an hour. so that would make hermine a post tropical hurricane, a very intense system even as we head into tuesday as hermine slowly starts to move away. the coastal impact extending saturday, sunday and now into monday. wind along the coast 35 to 45 miles an hour, sustained wind possible with gusts to 60 . locally heavy rainfall we could see four to 5 inches along a very immediate coastline but for more widespread, rough surf, coastal flooding, maryland rate or major in some areas. strong rip currents and possibility for moderate beach erosion that now will extend

for a period of days. late day saturday, sunday and into hon. watch out for likelihood of dangerous road conditions, that is a product of coastal flooding and wind conditions we could see power outages, down and uprooted trees, there could be debris on the roadways and we could see damage to docks and boardwalks as well due to the storm surge that we're likely to see along the coast from this on shore flow and elevated wind speeds. future wind gusts showing us as we head into tomorrow morning wind starting to get dusty long the coast as we head late daze into saturday. wind pick up on the i-95 corridor. sunday night and early morning, wind speeds up in the middle 40's as hermine will be closest position off shore late sunday night and early monday morning. check out these win speeds upwards of 60 miles an hour at the coast. we could see tropical storm force wind gust here's in center city this will be sunday night and early monday. as far as rainfall threat we could see localized flooding
