5:13 am
regardless, yes, it just depends on the latitude that you find yourself in, whether you may or may not. that said, i'll start things off by looking at nationwide picture here on storm scan3. which shows, very strong developing storm system out over the inner mountain, and down through utah. you can still see some rain currently falling pretty steadily and heavily at this point too. meanwhile, high pressure will eventually be our running theme. you see frontal boundary, you got to look at it closely here. here is the tail end of it, it ex ted all the way into new england. that's the system that crosses through here locally tonight it is pretty lackluster. it doesn't have much moisture by the time it is crossing through, even right now it doesn't have much moisture, not seeing anything more than clouds across the better part of the keystone state here. as this crosses, it will sends much cooler air our way. we'll see significant drop on the thermometer as a result. the tropics are definitely active. we've got here over bermuda, tropical storm system, not over bermuda yet, close by to the south.
5:14 am
looking at the track that far in a second. and you also have tropical storm lisa. so we're adding more and more names on to the list of 2016 atlantic hurricanes here or i should say atlantic named storm systems. lisa does not appear to be any kind of threat, certainly not to our coastline. but also, not to bermuda. it will stay well taught sea. carl on the other hand there is one is going to definitely need to be watched. see how it makes that curvature over the course of the next two days, and it will lick lie bypass bermuda very closely as tropical storm. probably even hurricane status before said and done. looking at the area dew point, brinking it back to stateside, pretty low, feels good outside, low points as low as the 40's, allentown, mount pocono. it is a cool air mass but it will heat up very easily later on today. and then we see that more crisp fall-like air take grip. what's actually going to ends up being little steamier today in advance of the front, turns back into just very great hair day really.
5:15 am
looking forward here, saturday, especially sunday, looks fantastic when it comes to the dew point temperatures, just very, very low, and the lower the number get the drier the air mass, and the more comfortable feels. today not only very warm but also humid. eighty-eight the high, also feeling more humid, yes, like we are in the middle of summer again, but only lasts for a day. then back to the mid 70s tomorrow, come sunday, struggle to even hit 70 degrees, meisha, over to you. >> katie, thank you so much. good morning, everyone, happy friday. so before we get into it, i'll show you live pictures, ben franklin bridge, those every you curious from jersey into center city actually looking really nice this morning. also another place looking pretty good, i would say fairly typical, starting to heat up, 42 northbound at creek road, approaching 295, you see the sea of headlight. usually expect that even on a friday, even at this hour, then kind of just tapers off, i would say, 6:00 hour. ninety-five south at cottman, moving in the southbound direction, you can see, looking actually real good. this is what we want to see
5:16 am
watch we don't want to see is a lot of serious accidents, which is what we were waking up to, the great news is the blue route northbound has now reopened. this is a very serious accident that happened around 11:30 p.m. first responders were still out there, up until just about five minute ago. so, great news for those of you on the blue route. that's now reopened. another area that is now cleared, 206 southbound, florence, new jersey, great news here, as well. all lanes are blocked. you're being directed, all lanes open there, as well. where we still have an accident out there right now is in trenton new jersey. serious accident here 195 eastbound past hamilton square. take a look at this, only the shoulder getting by. it will be very slow moving around a fluid spill. you have to use this alternate. route 130 or new jersey turnpike right now will be your best bet around this one. and, also, we have a lot of construction to talk about, so we'll have that coming up in about 15 minute or so. jim, brooke, back over to you. >> thanks, meisha. time for look at newspaper headlines from across our region. >> on the cover of the times
