pushing through. now, throughout the rest of the week, we do have additional chances for rain. pretty good chances. by tomorrow evening, already, we've got more rain in the forecast, then thursday, look at this, thursday, friday, as well as saturday, the chance for rain is out there any time. so coming up we will talk about the best chance to get soak, when things start to taper offer little bit here. for now though current temperatures are off to very mild start. you're flirting with 70 in almost every location, so certainly not as cool this morning, but, we only rebound so far from here. the ride home for the kids coming home on the bus, women, you will start to clear things out, see some sunshine, thankfully the rain is out of here, but not the worse idea to have the umbrella ready to go as we send it out to the bus this morning, meisha? >> not a bad idea at all. katie, thank you so much. i'm certainly glad that i had mine this morning. looking out on the roadways, looking wet, do have an accident. schuylkill westbound at the vine, blocking left lane, it causes to you tap the brakes as go by, and you can see, it is dark out there. we can see people out of their vehicles. that will slow you down, as

women. not only because you are going to have to slow down because of a narrow stretch right there, but also because we'll have a little bit of gaper delay there. so it will slow you down little bit. just kind of insight in things to come. new jersey, 42 freeway northbound at creek road. what you are looking at here, steady flow of vehicles, at this point, we can expect that. now, busy tuesday, at 5:30 in the morning, especially when our roadways are wet. so, certainly going to want to give yourselves extra time. we're going to need it today for sure. construction crews, still out there. pa turnpike eastbound, past downingtown, that right lane is block, in that area, also, some more construction out there, lincoln drive southbound between green street and wayne ave., one lane is open. and this is going to go on until five. so just make note of that, also just reminder, walnut lane bridge, that's re-opening later on this afternoon, so alternate until then, lincoln drive, midvale avenue, probably going to be your best bet, brooke, over to you. >> thanks, meisha. the countdown heating up, now just 41 days from election day, last night for the first time the candidates went tow to tow over the issues. of course it was the match up

everyone had been waiting for, first presidential debate between donald trump and hillary clinton. >> the two met face-to-face it, didn't take long for the fireworks to begin. "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo live at drexel university where vice president joe biden will be campaigning for hillary clinton, this morning, good morning, jan. >> jim, brooke, good morning, that's right. vice president joe biden will be making a stop here at drexel university, right around 10:30 this morning, he is set to speak about hillary clinton's vision for the economy. and the future of the united state. but, both sides will be hitting the campaign trail hard today after that fiery first debate, last night. take a look at the video. hillary clinton and donald trump were cordial while taking the stage at hofstra university in new york. but that quickly changed as soon as they got into the issues. two candidates sparred on everything from race relations, to national security, to the economy. clinton called for lowering taxes on the middle class, while trump focused on renegotiating trade deals that have caused companies to move jobs out of the us.

>> nafta is the worse trade deal, maybe ever signed, anywhere, but certainly ever signed in this country. and now you want to approve transpacific partnership. >> i know you live in your own reality, but that's not the facts. the fact are i did say i hoped it would be a good deal. but when it was negotiated, which i was not responsible for, i concluded it wasn't. >> now this was the first of three presidential debates, as clinton and trump are locked in a virtual tie in the latest polls. and last night, the debate sometimes turned personal. clinton bashed trump for not releasing his tax returns, trump responded that he would release his tax information when clinton produced the more than 30,000 emails that were deleted from the personal internet server she used as secretary of state. and, in the closing moments, this: >> she doesn't have the look. she doesn't have the stamina. i said she doesn't have the stamina. >> as soon as he travels to 112 countries, and negotiates

pennsylvania's voter registration deadline. local officials are making the round at various philadelphia high schools today trying to register student who have turned 18. they are also registering voters at 15th and market, and 30th and market streets while people can express their social opinions on social media and in the streets on november 8th, and the voting booth is where it is actually counts. wait until you hear these record numbers for last night's presidential debate. with estimated 100 million viewers, some say, it may be the most watched event of the year. "eyewitness news" hit up the american public in center city. showing trump and hillary clinton showing up face-to-face to discuss the issues. and a lot say both candidate played to their strengths. >> i think they're both representing their own experience. she happens to be a much more experienced candidate than he does. his experience is largely in business.

so he talk a lot about the economy, a lot about financial mat that's are on the minds of a lot of americans. >> reporter: new pole shows hillary clinton was just a one point lead in pennsylvania. both candidate say they'll campaign several more times in our area before election day. >> the first presidential debate may be over but the conversation on how the candidates measured up is just getting started. >> our own nicole brewer shows us how the debate is trending on social media. >> reporter: with 100 million americans expected to have tuned in, the super bol every debates took over more than dozen tv channels, and absolutely inundated social media. before the candidates even took the stage, hashtag debate night and debates were trending on twitter. and right off the top, democratic nominee hillary clinton's criticism of her republican rival donald trump's tax plan sent social media into a tailspin. >> the kind of plan that donald has put for the, trickle down economics, in fact, the most extreme version. i call it trumped up trickle down.

>> thirty minutes into the debate the phrase trumped up trickle down was tweeted nearly 30,000 times, which may have prompted this tweet from trump's official account. highlighting his plan to create 25 million jobs. as the questions continued, the phrase fact check began trending, one user saying perhaps we need to have a fact check scrolling across the bottom of the screen. hashtag debate night. then the conversation turned to minority issues, which once again spurred activity on line. >> we have our inner cities, african-americans, hispanics, are living in hell because it is so dangerous. >> by the debate's end the phrase african-american had been used over 100,000 times on twitter. nicole brewer, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". meanwhile twitter and facebook are still crunching the numbers. but starting to get some raw data concerning social media. twitter says of more than 10 million tweets, 62% were for trump, 38% were for clintonment on facebook the results were little bit more

eyewitness werth, eyewitness weather watcher network. and we have got temperatures that are actually off to really mild start here. even in some of the pine land areas, mark checking in from chatsworth, currently 67 degrees. but comparison to recent mornings, i mean, you're almost or more than 20 degrees warmer this hour, than it has been at the same time. in the last 24 hours. we will take to you another one, 67 degrees this hour, coming in from allen out in delran, new jersey where it is 100% humidity, air go rain currently falling from the sky. that rain is specially moving through basically right where the delaware river is, and then on to the southeast. so, let's take you to another spot. little cooler. we check in with this morning with eileen has a lot of clouds in gilbertsville. regardless things are a little cooler there, because starting to see the cooler air finally take over in the wake of the cold front. here it is bringing with it pretty steady rain, we mention portions every delaware, some of the heaviest rain, but back edge of the clouds is very

obvious, back over central pennsylvania, so with time we all will eventually see some sunshine unless you are at the shore, that's one spot where you may be stuck in the clouds majority of the day. let's turn the focus to the next system coming in. so system one gets out of here, later this week, actually as early as tomorrow night, the next storm nudges in. bridges with it steady rain. to me looking like it is mainly tomorrow night, most of thursday. we see the wettest conditions, periods of rain off and on throughout the time. but then, friday, as well as saturday day, it is still stuck overhead. only starting to retreat, it looks like by sunday. so it will take some time to get this out of here, and need something to give it the boot. something will eventually, but it will take few days. so, tomorrow night, thursday, umbrellas required. it will still be scattered showers around on friday, saturday. but, they shouldn't be quite as numerous. meisha? >> all right, katie, thank you so much. already, the rain is posing some problems on the roadways, they're very, very wet. even if you give yourself some extra time, you might not be

able to avoid some areas like this one. this is where we have an accident. the schuylkill westbound at the vine. the left lane is compromised. lots of flashing lights, the ramps, the eastbound vine, is blocked right now. and it is going to slow you down trying to get by this. not only because of volume levels now, starting to build, but also you will absolutely have gaper delay in the area as you pass by. give you extra time there. you will need it. also extra time in this area. accident number two, schuylkill westbound near boulevard. that it was block that left lane. now it is pulled all the way off to the right shoulderment make note of. that will accident number three, this is where we have got it, nine at south near the betsy ross bridge, right and left shoulders compromised now pulled all the way to the left lane. see the flashing lights, you can also see how busy it is around that area. then we have an accident norristown, west main street, one lane blocked there, a lot going on this morning, give yourself extra time, jim, over to you. >> real busy. thanks, meisha. in other news governor tom wolf has ordered flags in pennsylvania to be flown at half staff in honor of arnold

palmer. in will he drove pennsylvania where palmer was born, a service. public service at st. vincent college. palmer as you may recall passed away sunday from complications of heart disease. he was 87 years old. the man accused of opening fire in a washington state mall has confessed to the crime. that's according to court document. twenty year old arjon satin appeared in courtroom yesterday. he's charged with five count of first degree murder. according to court document, he told detectives he brought a rifle into macy's, and shot all five victims. he's being held on $2 million bonds. >> houston, searched the home after man opening fire at strip mall. the suspect's property manager says investigators look through the man's home. that man has not been identified. police will only say that he was an attorney. nine people were hurt yesterday morning. police say the man wearing military style clothing with

nazi symbols opened fire on cars as they passed by. officers arrived, exchanged fire with the man, and shot and killed him. >> this morning, protesters want charlotte's mayor and police chief to resign. dozens of people filled the city council chambers during forum last night. the meet wag toss let people talk about the police officer shooting and killing keith lamont scott last week. speakers criticized the mayor and police chief handling of the aftermath. >> the pipeline project has the green light to travel through middletown township delaware county. the middletown council unanimously approved a deal last night. allowing sunoco to build and operate two natural gas liquid lines on public land through the township. some people objected, saying, the pipeline would put their families and homes in danger the $3 million project would carry natural liquids across 17 counties every pen phone a plant in marcus hook. >> more speculation on the
