abdomen, the other, was shot in the chest. police do not believe this was a random shooting. >> meanwhile, series of attacks on temple university campus, injuries several student and leads to multiple arrests. >> and at less one of the attacks is caught on camera. "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo live on the temple campus to bring us up to date on the investigation. jan, good morning. >> because of what happened here friday night, university now stepping up it police presence, especially on the weekends, it was here, right around 7:00, on friday, that university officials say, hundreds of teenagers descended upon students, and police alike, and as you mention, a lot of the violence was caught on camera. >> shows of mob young people around the intersection of carlisle streets, there, police say, some of the kids beat and robbed three temple university student, that includes, joe's daughter, you see her there, injured and shaken, and the pizzeria

helped her to safety. >> i never, ever wanted to receive that call from my daughter and to find out she was beaten black and blue over her whole body, stomped on, kicked in the head and everything, it was just phenominal. beyond my wildest dreams. >> this man asked "eyewitness news" to withhold his name, he says, his brother was repeatedly kicked in the face. he lost a tooth. >> he's very traumatized. overall trying to be there. >> these are two accounts of the chaos that unfolded starting at 7:00. the university says, 200 kids were in the area, a social media post asked that they gather at the movie theater at broad and oxford streets, officials say for hours the kids then split off into smaller groups. police say one mob assaulted and robbed three people on the 1700 block of cecil b. moore avenue. and another incident, teen, punched a police horse twice in the head. and police say yet another teenager through an officer to the ground. >> under exaggerated obviously corks have done better job. >> some student believe they

and even a electric turn in the oval office. a spokesman for the times says that the period after the debate seemed like the right time to give the fullest representation of trump's tweets. >> meanwhile, in the race for u.s. senate, republican pat toomey and democrat katie mcginty squared off in their second and final debate. the debate produced by 6abc in philadelphia was held at temple university's perform being art center. the candidate answered questions on a host of topics, including, the economy, reproductive right, the fight against isis, and the black lives matter movement. >> now, i am happy to say black lives matter because from the where i stand, when we recognize the dignity of any person, we are all lifted up, and when any person is denied dignity we're taken down. >> the problem with the black lives matter movement and katie mcginty property gating this, is just that phrase itself is meant to impune the integrity of the police by implying that they don't think that black lives do matter. >> now, toomey would not say whether or not he would

support donald trump as his party's nominee. this morning, pennsylvania state police are investigating after a pair of homes were vandalized in the senator's neighborhood in lehigh county. authorities say two homes were spray painted with anti-gop messages over the weekend, both houses are across the street from toomey's home in zionsville. one of the homes had signs in the front yard for this year's election. senator toomey had this to say about the vandalism. >> there is no place for that kind of language. i was obviously extremely distressed and disappointed. that our neighbors and friends would be subjected to something like that. >> the first thing i said to my kids after it happened: we're not taking the signs down, in fact, i feel like putting more signs up, because this is not going to intimidate us. >> and the family says, they're unsure whether they were the intended targets, or if the vandals meant to attack the senator's home. and, katie mcginty, also released a statement, act of vandalism is unacceptable. i hope law end foesment can quickly investigate the matter, and hold the people responsible for it accountable

well, we are following breaking news in australia, where four people have been killed on amusement park ride. this is new video in from overnight. it happened at dream world, that's amusement park in queensland, the victim tips were riding the thunder river rapids. those are rafts that rush through a man-made river, when two are throw from it, and two others were trapped. the victims are said to be in their three's, and 40's, the park has been closed for the rest of the day. well, up next: man jumped into a car, taking off with a six year old child inside. we will tell you what the child's mother was doing when it happened. >> also, following a developing story from north jersey. where a man jumped off a bridge, with his two children. we have an update on the young boy's condition. and something you see every day on your morning commute. we've got information from a brand new study on pick-up truck headlight. and how it could impact everyone on the road. >> ♪ >> ♪

>> kathleen kane has posted bail while her defense team appeals her perjury conviction. yesterday kane left court in handcuffs, after she was sentenced to ten to 23 months in jail. she was released hours later, after posting $75,000 bail n august you may recall kane was found guilty of seeking or leaking secret grand jury information then lying about it under oath. she resigned as attorney general shortly thereafter. >> federal prosecutors plan to continue cross-examination of a former aid to new jersey governor, chris christie this morning. bridget kelly on trial on criminal charges in the george washington bridge lane closing scandal. yesterday, kelly testified, she told the governor twice about the lane closures on the bridge, as they were happening, in september of

2013. kelly said she also told him the democratic mayor of fort lee was complaining about it. christie has not been charged and he denies any wrong-doing. father jumps off a north jersey bridge with his two young children, and amazingly the two boys survive. woman called police saying she and her husband had been fighting and that he sped off with their children threatening to hurt them. police located the man's vehicle on i287 in passaic county. the man was pronounced dead at the scene, but had i sons ages two and four survived. boys taken to the hospital, and are expected to be okay. >> meanwhile, in california, authority continue to investigate the deadly palm springs bus crash, which killed 13 people, and injured 31 other. officials are learning the bus driver did not brake before the tour bus slammed into the back of the tractor-trailer. the collision is one of the deadliest recommendation in the state's history, the bus moving as fast as six after miles per hour at the time of impact. >> meisha was talking about this earlier, overturned

truck, caring coast, finally removed from a delaware highway. take a look, this is the scene from chopper three last night as the truck flipped over on the ramp from 141 to 295 near base on road. no word on how many coast were in the truck, but all did remain inside the trailer. but again, the the good news this morning, the ramp opened in time for rush hour. >> so katie, i walked out the door and i went: loving this weather you. >> know, you're one every am i would say that really do enjoy the chill. >> yes. >> but i believe rahel and i beg to differ. it is not that bad outside, but it is made to feel cooler any time that wind blows. that will still be running theme through the course of the day, by tonight it, does start to ease up. and that's actually when the frost can form. and the freeze can develop, as temperatures really have chance to bottom out. folks, depending where you live, might see little ice before it is said and done. as we progress through the forecast, let me back it up, take you out there right now,

outside palmyra cove nature park, basically clear sky, couple of clouds here and there, 48 degrees, modest breeze at this observation site. there will still be breeze to contends with as the day mentions, talking upward 15 miles per hour give or take, could be little bit more than. that will but it is still out of the northwest predominantly. now, the combination of the next storm that eventually are going to cross the united states, move our way, are, you know, not all that organized looking just yet. but, we will see it move in from the west. and event lip, as it crosses into our region, it comes with less than ideal timing if you are talking about any kind of frozen precipitation, but again, backing it up, high pressure still on our side through today, and into tomorrow, as well, but as it anchors itself over our region, that is when you start to see the potential for frost and freeze to develop. because it helps ease the wind up, clear out the sky, and let those temperatures bottom out. here is what we were talking about, shades every purple poke up. this is thursday morning specifically, as the warmfront, ironically enough;

lifting in here, it is cold enough that you could actually see some of the precipitation come down in the form of some icing. now, i don't think it would accumulate much. it would certainly slick end up i80 for sure. meanwhile, see through the day thursday, some steadier rain push through. i would keep umbrella ready, guys. looks like this could be almost all day event. generally starting toward midday. current winds speed, yes, they're impressed, into the teens in a lot of spots, kind of light depending where you are. breeze still with us, we keep the sunshine into tomorrow, but keep in mind, too, frost and freeze, very likely, as you walk out to the car. so you need to be thawing outlooks like tomorrow morning, meisha. >> no joke. the frost is here. that means, guess what's coming? the s word. i won't say. it won't say it guys, won't go there. jimmy know you want to go snowmobiling with me. so excited to go snowmobiling. guys, accident here, city avenue southbound before the schuylkill. you are reduced to one lane. kind of back out of the way so you can see. >> this see all of the crews are out there. we actually have people out of their vehicles, crewmen walking around, there so, when you are reduced to one lane, you can see this vehicle,

coming around, right there, kind of quick. and that will sneak up on you, still very dark out, there once this, it will slow you down, accident city avenue southbound before the schuylkill you are reduced to one lane, it is dark, and it is this kind of creeps up on you coming around the bend. take a look at, that forced to slam on their brakes try to maneuver around this. so a lot going on there, big heads up on this, and i'll update you, let you know as soon as that clears, doesn't look like it will do so any time soon. plus, disabling vehicle here, kind of behind the street. see the blinking lights from this vehicle. schuylkill eastbound ramp to blue route northbound it is pulled all the way out to the shoulder. but again, that's going to sneak up on you, as well, new jersey, first look, 42 northbound creek road, push in the northbound direction, dealing with a lot of vehicles out there. plus we have our freeway friend right there pulled off to the shoulder. not going to show you down too much. make note they are there. overall, busy morning, lots of construction. talking about all of that coming up in a little bit. rahel, jim, back to you.
