roadways if you can, parking you guys, i want to talk about this. it is affecting parking in the city, the septa strike. just a head up flat rate for ten dollars for ten hours no certain garages. check to make sure that is one of them. that is i great deal. no parking on broad between spring garden and south street. this is, really great too that they have put this in place. you will be grazed with an extra hour at meters and kiosks, if you go over 30 or 40 minutes they will extend it to an hour so you don't get fine. i will update you if this stays in play and anything new coming out, jim and rahel, back to you. well, as we have been telling you it promises to be another brutal commute as septa strikings in today two. >> transit agency says both side are making progress on a new contract jan carabao is reporting live from center city. talks are reportedly scheduled to begin this morning. >> reporter: negotiations have stopped but they are expect to pick backup sometime later on

today. in the meantime heavy hitter has been brought into move things along that is congressman bob brady. let look the at the video congressman tells "eyewitness news" that the two side have been talking through a mediator but no middle group has been found just yet. septa and local 234 resume negotiations late yesterday, after about 5,000 members of the trans tort workers union went on strike earlier in the day. strike now in day two sidelined septa's buses, trolleys, subways leaving hundreds of thousands scrambling to find other modes of transportation. main sticking points in these negotiations are work rules and health care benefits but the biggest issue is by far, exceptions. hourly employees reportedly want the opportunity to contribute full toy a personal pension plan which is what we're told supervisors are allowed to do congressman brady says negotiations are moving in the right direction. >> right now, it is all about exceptions. right now it is all about pensions. is there a box and they have to try to figure out how to

stay within that box. that is what they are trying to do mediator going back and forth, different proposals. i'm not sure where the ball is right the now but they have been going back and forth with the proposals which is a i good thing because you will never settle anything if you are not the talking. >> with that said septa does have a contingency plan in case this strike approaches election day. now septa is hopeful to have a tentative agreement in place by then but says if we foresee an agreement will not come to pass, septa intend to seek to enjoin the strike for november t the strike does not prevent any voters from getting to the the polls and exercising their right to vote. that would be an injunction filed in court but septa tells me that they are just hoping to reach an agreement before then, that is main focus, again, those negotiations expected to start backup later on today. reporting live, this morning, jan carabao for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". now back inside to you. day two of the strike is expect to bring more headaches for commuters like first day

welcome back. expect to go see a pleasant have in day unfold here. we have nice light wind, more sunshine and we also have a warm up. that makes it better, doesn't it. we have also have high pressure and that helps things too. that is something that is going to give way, eventually to a cold front passage by tomorrow. today though don't worry about wet weather, we don't need wet weather accessories. would i suggest sunglasses. looking at area temperatures they are not bad. we probably could getaway without that heavy coat. i brought my lighter jacket for example and lower 50's are current theme up and down i-95. i'm not sure when it fell to to meteorologist toss remind with you this but i'm willing to play a long here. time to fall back. by the time we hit sunday we will return to standard time and sunset time, on sunday, it goes all the way to 4:52 in the afternoon. i feel like for those who wake up in the early morning hours are only ones that love this time of the year. not only do we get extra sleep
