certainly not, just septa riders feeling effects of this strike. good evening i'm ukee washington. i'm jessica dean. side are still working to hash out a deal. we have team three coverage tonight and we will start with "eyewitness news" reporter joe holden at jefferson station, where commuters are dealing with delays once again, joe. >> reporter: well, jessica it is not a pretty site out there by road, regional rail and in jefferson station right now, where it is some what organized chaos, people tell me it is no where near as pad as it was yesterday but it is still difficult, some folks in the line behind he tell me they have been waiting in this line for 20 to 30 minutes but again, they are telling me, much more organized here at jefferson then it was yesterday. however, it is a different story at suburban station, where some people hoff been tweeting with me tell me it continues to be a mad house, lines at suburban station, stake for a good hundred feet

philadelphia police, they have not had any effect on their budget for deploying officers, of course to make sure surface road are running smut thely and pedestrians are crossing safely. that is latest deep inside jefferson station i'm joe holden for cbs one "eyewitness news". >> joe, thank you for that. lets check with natasha brown who has a story of where negotiations stand right now, natasha. >> reporter: well, ukee i just spoke with a source with the union who tells us at this point quote it is inch by inch at the bargaining table. negotiations are set to resume here behind me at the sheraton in center city in just a little bit. of course, they are inching closer hoping for a deal as this strike lingering on possibly in today three. day two of the septa strike began on a positive note as both septa and transportation workers union local 234, saw a glimmer of hope in a revised proposal. both side seem closer and closer on issues like pension, health care, work schedules

and routes. pension caps remain a stick point as day dragged on with no deal just yet. >> it is close, close but it is always that little something, you know, but it is close. they are making progress every where but they have to get the final thing done. >> on the labor side we know our workers have concern, they want to have addressed. so we want their issues to be addressed but ultimately at the end of the day we want to make sure that next tuesday on november 8th, we have a transportation system that is up and running so we can move the city of philadelphia forward on election day. >> reporter: city and state officials have been checking in on the negotiations, you say congressman bob brady there, also state representative dwight evans has been a crucial part of the negotiations as well. all seem to be optimistic that they can get this resolved by election day. if that does not appear to be the case, septa officials a they would seek an injunction through course to restore services on that day to make sure that voters get to the polls and exercise their
