we begin with breaking news this morning, it is what everyone has been waiting for. septa and the transit workers union reach a tent tiff deal to end the strike. and that's welcome news for the nearly 1 million commuters who rely on septa. >> "eyewitness news" reporter trang do broke the news on twitter outside, frank, what do you know? >> reporter: jim, rahel, we learned this tentative deal had been reached, just after 3:00 this morning. and though we don't know the terms of the deal at this point, we're told the deal will be official once septa management as well as union leader sign off it, so hit little bit after snafu, though, here is video of a pour outage downtown where the talks had been ongoing. it sets both sides back to their respective offices.

negotiations did continue, with tent tiff deal struck overnight. now, last night, twu local 234 president willie brown told us that both sides were very close to an agreement, that it was all coming down to language. and this morning, he we were able to briefly speak to septa chairman, and here's what he had to say. >> i think we'll be okay. >> an agreement in principal. everything will be fine once we sign everything, okay? >> now, both septa and the union had been preparing for, court hearing this morning, after both septa and the city of philadelphia found injunctions to ends this strike. even temporarily, just for the reelection, but with the news that appears to be unnecessary. now, septa will still need some time to get fully operational. they estimate about 16 hours with the first services up and running between four and six hours after this deal is signed, but we will stay here, bring you the very latest, as soon as we get it.

seeing these advisories take effect. this is the transition part of the year. so when the advisories come out of course we want to let you know, that said, storm scan nice and quiet. even the satelite over top of this, barely cloud in that sky. most of it is zero out over the open water locally. temperatures as they stand are chilly, low 40's, 30's, orr even 20's, depending on location, cold start means only rebound so far from here. i do expect very quiet and very nice day. it is a stretch of cool with temperatures at best upper 50's at best this afternoon, how much, nice little warming trends coming our way. more than anything, a other coaster ride of thermometer readings that we will see in the days ahead. much more on detail of that, when we warm up, and how the rest of the forecast pans out later in the show. meisha, over to you. >> warming trends, we like that, katie. thank you so much. morning, everyone, happy monday. right now, we are looking outside at the vine. keep a close eye on this, we just heard about the septa strike. they may be coming to a deal. so fingers crossed on that.

what we're looking at vine in particular, it heats up very quickly in the morning, especially will on a monday morning, right now, westbound and eastbound side, both local and expressway, looking good on the vine so far. still looking pretty quiet, some will start to heat up. similar story, ben franklin bridge gets busy on the vine. keep an eye on the ben franklin bridge. again, looking quiet, schuylkill, taillights moving in the eastbound direction at montgomery, looking great there. now weeks have construction northeast extension southbound between the lehigh valley and quakertown, plus, delaware, 95 northbound between crease tianah, right lane blocked, should be lifting around 5:00 a.m. great news. reminder the only running service septa regional rails right now, we will of course update as we progress through the morning. use uber or any other means of transportation. one more thing actually, plenty of traffic around old city for hillary clinton's rally tomorrow, you guys, starting 10:00 this morning, market street will be closed from fourth to seventh street,

whether casinos should exist outside of atlantic city. for the first time since the state legalized gambling, people will vote on plan tomorrow to have two new casinos closer to new york city, though have the revenue loss of casinos in pennsylvanian new york. pitiful of passes forces police officer to fire his gun. officer was responding to disturbance call in philadelphia's frankford section last night, when a person inside the home opened the door and apparently a dog ran out. the pill bull lunged for the officer ' leg, after brief struggle the officer fired the gun striking the dog. medrick called out to the scene but appears no one was hurt. >> this morning, woman is in the hospital after an explosion at a pumpkin launching contest in delaware. police say she and a man were hurt yesterday afternoon at the pumpkin hundred kin contest in bridge ville, police say part of a air cannon exploded, after launching a pumpkin. one of the parts hit the woman in the head. she was taken to the hospital

coming up in our next hour. >> meanwhile, in other news, the peach county sheriff's offers in georgia mourning right now after one of their own was shot and killed. it happened yesterday afternoon in byron. that's outside of macon. georgia bureau of investigations says two deputies were called for a dispute between neighbors. when they arrived, a man opened fire on them. sergeant patrick it, and deputy darryl smallwood were hit. one died of his injuries, smallwood taken to the hospital in critical condition. suspect was also shot, but his condition is not known. >> earthquake rattled oklahoma the magnitude five quake rumbled at 7:44, central time last night, near one of the worlds' key oil hubs, forceful enough to rattle the entire state and rattle buildings, east of oklahoma sit. they call themself pipeline crossroads of the worlds. >> i felt it all shaking, my aunt grabbed my cousin, we ran

looking ahead to really nice weather. overall for the next couple of days, there will be couple of cold front passages that come along with it, for now, no worries in that regard. see frost, hard freeze in some spots, even this morning, frost advisory is posted for delco, and new castle county, specifically, but everybody else, you know, doesn't mean that you're devoid of any, just already had your first hard freeze. year. tranquil, the wind also nice and calm in most locations, and as this is going to be nice bright sunny day, cool and crisp early november day, as well, 57 the highment look at the bump we get come tomorrow. election day's forecast looks absolutely gorgeous, 66 on november 8th, not bad. in full sunshine no less. come wednesday, expect shower or two, perhaps, as our next cold front does cross, that will keep the temperature back to upper ooh at best, we will see slow decline over the course of friday and the upcoming weekend, as well, meisha, over to you. >> being lou being good. katie, thank you so much. good morning, everyone, happy monday. so, going right outside.

you can see on roadways right now, we have a problem. accident over here, overturned vehicle, southbound boulevard, hunting park avenue, past ninth street. it was blocking the right lane. now it has been pulled all the way off to the right shoulder. not causing too many slow downs yet. but we know that it is absolutely going to be another very, very busy travel day, especially on a monday, give yourselves extra time in that area, also here, as well. ninety-five headlight moving in the southbound direction past the betsy ross bridge. you can see, how much this area and interstate 95 pushing in the southbound direction, tapping into the 5:00 hour yet, already looking pretty busy considering the time that we're working with right now. construction out there, as well, north east extension between quaker ton and lansdale, left lane block, and in delaware 95 northbound we christianna, root lane block until 5:00 a.m. jim, rahel, back to you. >> thank you, meisha headed out the door stay updated when katie's for cats on our sister station "kyw news radio" so 6o also, while there are no laws in pennsylvania forbidding ballot selfies, there aren't laws allowing them either. if the election has been

quiet. >> really has. it has very, very tranquil weather even despite couple of cold front passages we'll see this week, they do their job, cooling things down, but don't really bring any major weather concerns. so, hey, this is good stuff right here. storm scan, nice and tranquil, empty as can be, so under clear skies, temperatures have dropped off readily as they tends to do. but because that far, we have frost advisory to tell you about, specific to delaware and new castle new castle count. doesn't mean two count list see frost or hard freeze develop this morning, it simply means these are the count that's have yet to see the first hard freeze of the year, so you don't see the need for any freeze or frost warnings or advisories, to go in effect anywhere else at this point. once again, first one, pretty much stop issuing them, low temperatures mid 30's here at worse. make sure your pets are inside, sensitive vegetation, maybe has been covered up, bring it inside, before the sun comes up, our temperatures currently generally either in the mid or upper 30's, or down into the 20's, or in the
