this month - chesapeake city council is talking about a proposal for a new field house. some residents hope it would bring a boost to the western branch area. 10 on your side's erin kelly has been talking to them about the idea. a resident i talked told me it would mean families here wouldn't have to drive to the peninsula or virginia beach for youth sporting events. and she thinks it would help fill up the area's hotels and restaurants. kathy reagan young - resident c0002 - 2726 we needed a shot in the arm like this and this makes sense on so many levels. 2730 kathy reagan young -- who about growing western branch is already on board -- with a new proposal to build a the virginia for illustration purposes. he's picturing an indoor facility with turf fields, volleyball and basketball courts. it's not clear exactly where it would go -- but somewhere in this

injured hundreds more. the national transportation safety board just released -- for the first time -- thousands of documents related to its investigation. among the documents - transcripts of interviews with the train's engineer brandon bostian. he says he doesn't remember the crash. investigators still don't know why the train was going 106 miles per hour -- twice the speed limit -- when it crashed. more information about the cause of the crash is expected later this year. now amtrak is looking into another incident. this one happened last night -- not too far from where that crash happened in may. according to amtrak something hit one of its trains as it was passing through philadlephia. there were about 200 people aboard the acela express out of washington d-c when it happened. a gunshot. investigators say whatever it was -- it cracked a window. they think someone may have thrown something at the train. no one was hurt. coming up on wavy news ten at five- thirty - chesapeake prepares to beloved deep creek family

in california - all three fugitives who escaped from an orange county jail are back behind bars. after spending more than a week on the run. two of them were captured this weekend in san francisco. the other was taken into custody friday morning in southern california. tonight - we're learning more about the call to 9-1-1 that helped bring the fugitive back to justice. (911 dispatcher) santa ana police 911. (female caller) i'm calling about bac duong, i have him here, he's ready to turn himself in, he just came in, he said he's scared to turn himself in, so he asked me to call. the sheriff says the inmates cut through half-inch steel bars -- and snaked their way through plumbing tunnels to the roof of the maximum security jail in

to make their escape. in massachusetts -- a man is recovering -- after a tree fell on him. and some are calling what happened nothing short of 00-07 (dispatch/ saturday) "(inaudible) respond to the abbey, report of a male party in the woods with a tree that fell on his leg." the 74-year old was out chopping wood this weekend for his fireplace -- when a tree fell on him - trapping him underneath. a nun -- from a nearby abbey -- happened to be walking in the woods -- and heard his cry for help. the man's pastor says it was no accident she was there at just the baptist church) "i think god looks out for people in general, i think he loves us and so i don't think it's necessarily coincidental.' the man suffered injuries to his lower legs and has hypothermia. he is in good condition at a boston hospital. treating chronic back and leg pain can be tricky and it doesn't always work. a little later we'll tell you about a fairly new treatment that offers patients

you should get out more. chicken. geico motorcycle. great rates for great rides. it's been a week since a family of six was killed in a murder-suicide. police found the bodies of todd, lori, landon, brooke, doris, and cameron dooley inside two different homes in chesapeake. investigators say cameron shot and killed his grandmother - his parents - and his brother and sister - before taking his own life after a police stand-off . right now - friends and family are getting ready for a memorial at deep creek baptist church. ten on your sides liz palka is in chesapeake where the memorial is set to begin in just a little while. liz? stephanie and anita - there are no words to describe what this family and community has felt the last few days. many will say goodbye to the

the memorial service. dooley family tonight at the memorial service. hundreds of people are expected to be here. and hundreds have already celebrated the life of the dooleys. their home church - temple baptist - held a prayer service thursday after the family was discovered. and friends of 17 year old brooke dooley organized a candlelight vigil on saturday night. that's when todd's brother and doris' son, michael dooley, spoke for the first time to the media. michael said they have no words to express how deeply they are grieving after this tragedy. but they are grateful for the kindness and outpouring of love and support from their church and community.

>> police just confirms that a to a hospital. the family was inside the van that you can see, a lot of damage on the passenger side. the family was coming down 27th street when a pickup truck went through the intersection and the witness says that the truck hit the fan. the two children in the van were thrown from the vehicle. the witness called 911. he and others were standing by and try to help the children. they were instructed by 911 to perform cpr on the children. all we have to confirm from the police right now is that the two children and their mother were taken to the hospital. we will continue to follow this
