overnight. now another man is behind bars facing drug charges. 10 on your side joe fisher joins us live. joe are all these meth labs connected? newport news police seem to be pulling back the layers. the organized crime division says they were led to this home on sydney place overnight after getting information from the two previous busts this week on middlesex road. there it must have been a dangerous place to be going inside." a dangerous situation due to a dangerous substance on sydney place in newport news early friday morning. judith brett watched the investigation unfold from her front window across the street. ((c40 2:20)) "it was so lit up it was like daytime in the middle of the night." ((c40 4:00)) "nobody likes to think anything like this is going on in their neighborhood. the house could have exploded with the stuff the chemicals that they had in there." police say they raided this home -- now

one in the morning. 10 on your side caught hazmat crews working inside and outside the home. police say they found a meth-making operation in a shed in the backyard. ((c26 44:13)) "shocked, amazed, dissapointed and then just horrifyed that this was going on across the street from me." neighbors say there was a lot of coming and going from the home at all hours of the day. brett says she called the cops on the residents four times in the six months they've lived here. ((c40 7:40)) "every night we looked over there there was a light on in the house. i said 'they stay up all night." the bust friday morning comes after two raids that turned up meth on middlesex road. on sunday -- officers arrested autumn wells after finding meth making materials in her car. then on tuesday -- police found another meth lab in a home across the street. they later arrested michael adkins and dana chandonnet ((c40 8:50)) "anytime people are behaving in a bad way or

we're still working to find out what caused a hazmat situation in hampton on wednesday. when officers arrived at the home on cynthia drive they found an unknown substance outside the home. they sent it to a lab for testing and we are waiting on those results. hampton police tell us items seized are consistent with the making of methamphetamine -- but further testing is needed to know for sure. no charges have been filed yet in this investigation. let's talk about the weather now in first forecast -- temperatures warmed up-- just in time for the weekend! mostly clear skies made for a beautiful friday. here's the view in

with highs dropping back into the 50s. with highs dropping back into the 50s. tonight a norfolk police officer is on administrative duty-- following claims he exposed himself to a chesapeake woman. the alleged victim says it happened in the walmart parking lot on frederick boulevard, saturday afternoon she's talking only to 10 on your side's andy fox. andy? she has not filed charges yet because she fears her name getting out. she's cried a lot, she is still trying to cope with the incident that has rocked her world. she reported that a man got out of his car and exposed himself-while she sat in her car. she watched him as he walked away, and then

called portsmouth police. she identified him by his clothing because she did not get a good look at his face. the video is assisting in the investigation. walmart would not confirm that or anything to us. wednesday she e ts a call from norfolk police internal affairs. of the officer's home. he's on administrative duty-off the streets pending the outcome of the investigation police have charged a driver in a deadly late night crash on the eastern shore. troopers say 19-year-old austin rainey from north carolina died after three vehicles crashed in accomack county. it happened last night on route 13 northbound near daugherty road. state police say a woman driving a pick- up truck turned in front of a van rainey was riding in. a tractor-trailer then slammed into the van. police charged the driver of the pick-up, linda stevens, with failing to yield the right of way. the virginia beach fire department is working to determine what sparked a house fire. it happened just before noon on peony arch, in the green run area. the department sent us these pictures from the scene. a neighbor alerted a man at the home about smoke and flames. he made it out safely. investigators say the damage is too bad for anyone to stay there now. norfolk police say a

again. investigators say he's now responsible for three more burglaries, bring the grand total to eight. take a good look at this man. officers say he's hit several local restaurants, including the golden china on east little creek road on valentine's day. they also say last month, he broke into united refrigeration on progress road, and golden city on azalea garden road. this is video of when he attempted to break-in to ole bay seafood. if you recognize the man in this video, call the crime line at 1-888-lock-u-up. virginia beach is beefing up security in response to two dozen car break-ins, at a parking garage in town center. on tuesday -- police got reports for 28 break-ins outside of the encore apartments on main street. now the city says it has hired a second overnight. the two guards working the overnight shift will roam through the 5 garages-- on foot-- and in cars. williamsburg police say a man is charged with from a business. the manager of a business

virus --most are concentrated in the americas. north carolina just reported its first case today. that patient had traveled to a country where there is an symptoms show at all-- it's usually fever, rash, joint pain and red eyes. today the world health organization addressed concerns about the zika outbreak, especially in south america -- it's been linked to microcephaly and guillain-barre syndrome. this is drone video released today flying over rio de janeiro's 2016 olympic park. a number of athletes and visitors planning to come to the olympics have expressed concern about the virus. but planning for the games is moving along. the who predicts the mosquito population will drop off when rio hosts the games. there are currently no vaccines or treatment for zika, though research institutes and pharmaceutical companies are working on it. coming up on wavy news 10 - a crash on the peninsula left a mail truck flipped.

one little reason why you new at five -- a shelter for domestic violence victims will open its new location in chesapeake next month. (file video 6/2/15) 10 on your side first told you about the new "her shelter", in june. they were supposed to open in october when a new state code sidelined them. they now have a new water line installed-- and their occupancy permits. they plan to start taking in clients on march 9th the shelter will be the first of its kind in chesapeake. a case of hoarding in chesapeake will air this weekend on a reality t-v show. our deanna leblanc covered this story last august in the knell's ridge neighborhood. the city of chesapeake could have fined the homeowner -- but instead contacted the reality t-v show in hopes to solve the hoarding problem.

will a baltimore police officer have to testify against the others charged in the freddie gray case? that's a big question now that maryland's supreme court has agreed to take up the case of five officers involved. officer william porter's trial ended in a mistrial, in october. he's facing a re-trial. this recent court action delays the trials of the other officers until the issue with porter's testimony is resolved. oral arguments are expected to begin early next month. freddie gray died in

police have arrested 46-year-old michael wilson from richmond. they charged him with four felony counts for allegedly having child porn. police took him to the virginia peninsula regional jail. wilson is a research biologist at the center for conservation biology. he's been at william and mary since 2004. protocol, he's on administrative leave and not allowed on campus right now. we have a crew on the way, and we'll let you know as soon as we have an update. and now the latest development in a 10 on your side investigation that has unfolded over more than a year. prison time continues to pile up for a former local headstones dealer. grieving clients paid him thousands of dollars, but he never delivered. investigative reporter chris horne has followed this story through four local cities. this time it's chesapeake. edward prince faced felony fraud charges in three other cities as well. he took
