the staff making the deliveries aren't the only ones working overtime. the globe released a statement saying they expect the process to improve not instantly but steadily. thank our customers for their patients. meanwhile new this morning some sad news out of northeastern university. a student who disappeared back in november has been found dead. he was found on new year's eve. he didn't say where. there's no word on how he died. he was a native of kenya who was studying media arts. since his disappearance, students have been putting up fliers and holding individuals to pray for his return. they'll have counseling services.

and spread to two alarms. no word this morning on any injuries. and a burning box truck almost egg nighted the u-haul building where it was parked. where firefighters arrived, the drug was already moving and it was -- they managed to get it under control and stop the spread. boston police are condemning an officer who showed great restraint when a man attacked him. it was caught on videotape. he sat in a cruiser. back up officers eventually took the man into custody. people in dorchester on edge after -- she was sexually assaulted. they are trying to find the man before he assaults someone else. >> very scary to me. i mean, like i -- it just makes

it's going to continue to stay cold enough that more snow can be made and a few snowfalls in the forecast in the higher elevations. good news there. skies are cooperating here. we have mostly clear conditions to take a look at the 6:26:00 a.m. traveling southwest to east northeast, maximum elevation. that's about halfway up. 31 degrees if you are going to head out the door to take a look. make sure you bundle up. when you factor in that light breeze. it does make a difference. temperatures in the 30s for most. 26 degrees. down to 28 degrees. 32 -- 36 -- hour by hour forecast. temperatures stay in the 30s for the morning. increasing to 41 degrees by 1:00 and we have a mostly sunny sky for the rest of today.

well, jalin was born at 11:59 but her brother lewis decided to not make his appearance until 12:01. they weren't expected them for another month. their new year's plans had to be change. what an exciting special delivery. both babies are happy and healthy. so cute. well, the boston globe might be -- picking up paper routes themselves to make sure the paper gets to where it needs to be. and a little restraint goes a long way. why the officer in this video is being commended for his handling of a violent attack.

a stun gun are just some of the items police found in a car parked at gillette stadium in the employee lot during friday's winter classic. tomorrow this man from connecticut will be in court to face charges. he does not work for the patriots or the stadium and had not been planning to attend the game. boston's police commissioner is crediting the officer in this video for preventing potentially deadly violence. police say the officer was sit ting in his cruiser outside the dock square parking garage on new year's eve stranger. face several times. he returned a few punches, but the commissioner says that officer did not escalate the situation by using a baton or deadly force even if the force may have been warranted. a woman told police she was dorchester.

jim, thinking of the late mayor tom menino and how he disdand the whole vision mandate, baker seemed to subscribe to that, statewide version of the urban mechanic and he's gotd incredible approval numbers while walsh got caught up in the olympic vision and got burned. >> i theen in the mayor's case, he was tagged early on as being the small ball guy. legislator. he went after big things like the olympics and nascar race. those are big things, new things. he's trying to make boston same tech friendly. sometimes they don't work out as we saw in the olympics, the governor took a hands off approach, say hey i want to have the analysis done, look at the numbers, look at the long term. mayor got way too far in way too quickly. i think in the end was able to extricate himself with a minimal amount of
