of the rockies and head down to the gulf coast tomorrow and become a larger storm system. tomorrow's calling card is going to be severe weather across the gulf coast and it starts to wind up and runs into colder airheading into friday. by friday afternoon washington, d.c. by saturday afternoon, you can see that northern edge that we have been talking about is right along our shorelines. we are on the nice edge. i don't think it's going to be a major convenient for us. i think most of the heavy stuff stays just out to sea. but time to make a little call here. so where's the highest risk of maybe seeing a half foot of snowfall and that's significant snow. highest risk is in far southeastern massachusetts. closer to that storm. but as soon as you go north there's going to be a very sharp cut off -- cut off between snow and nothing at all. a very low impact with a coating to maybe an inch of snowfall and that includes the city of boston. we are looking at maybe a couple inches in the city and right now i think that's going to be about it.
5:01 pm
an impact. when would it move in. we see the first flakes saturday afternoon evening and in the south coast and cape peak snow and wind is saturday night and winding down on sunday morning. much more about this and look forward to next week coming up in bit. >> and remember you can get the latest weather including updates on this weekend's storm any time with the cbs boston weather app and it's free in the google or apple app stores. going head to head for the phenyl time? two future hall of famers. tom brady and peyton manning are talking about what it means to face-off sunday for the chanceto then play in the super bowl on the excitement for the afc championship game is building. >> tonight one of the patriots maybe a lifesaver we have live team coverage tonight in foxboro and in denver. but we start with jim smith live at gillett stadium with heroic tale that's confirmed moments ago. jim. >> reporter: that's right david. you know so often we hear the phrase hero when it comes to the patriots and 99% of the

about a hero being the guy that scores the touchdown. but this is a tale of a real life hero. pats rese of linebacker darius fleming who saved and rescued the victim of a car accident. it's quite a story. the story unfolded on route 1 last thursday night just north of gillette stadium near a dunkin donuts. patriots reserve linebacker darius fleming was on his way home from practice and noticed an accident and a woman trapped in a burning car. he ended up kicking out one of the windows and getting her out safely. >> the smoke inside the car freaked me out and so i was look i can't tell her i will be back like get out and i started kicking it kicking with my right leg and eye didn't break right away and i wasn't sure eyeite would break but the >> reporter: fleming was hurt during the rescue cutting his leg requiring more than 20 stitches in his right calf.

5:04 pm
from the lady who was pulled out of the vehicle she says "he kicked in my window and i think he was a patriot he kicked in my window and i think he was a patriot. so, it's all quite a story and subplot to the game but this was real life and a good job bydarius fleming. jim smith wbz news. >> thank you and patriots would like nothing more than to play in super bowl 50 steve burt n is -- burton is live at the ready. >> they are ready. and they have each other's backs and that's a good thing. especially when it comes to name calling. broncos taking shots at tom preyedy -- brady and levan reid and the patriots call that bulletin board material. >> reporter: so maybe belichick saw the headlines and told the team to focus. >> we are focused on the denver broncos and the game.
5:05 pm
a cry baby. he dealt with name calling in the past and instead of it getting under his skin it motivates him. >> i am not sure what the other quarterbacks do if the refs want to throw flags i love when they throw the flags on defenders. >> reporter: and face it it's the group in the locker room that really matters. they have his back. >> we know tom is motivated by anything they say but every warterback if they get hit late or guys go after their legs they will be whining that's protecting yourself not whining winner. >> reporter: broncos defensive send antonio smith started the doesn't get it. tom brady is a superstar. so just like michael jordan and larry bird and even big popi they have the ability to work the refs that's what superstars do antono smith, normal player.

5:07 pm
some of the old posters with larry and magic in the very short shorts i know how hard i worked to play this long and so, when i look across you know at patriots and see tom brady is the quarterback i know how hard he worked as well. and to play as well as he has over the course of his career with the success he has had and team success i just have lot of respect for him. >> reporter: and, of course, brady is 9-3 in the regular season against peyton manning and they are 2-2 in the playoffs and so steve a pretty big tie breaker coming on sunday here in denver. from the training facility at the broncos now back to a guy i am sure wore the short shorts really well during his basketball days steve burton. >> thanks very much. and i will say this about patriots they are 3 point favorites against denver. the line moved a little bit. let's go back to you. >> thanks. our nice but misguided

difference an hour makes. stocks staged a comeback in thefinal hour of trading finishing about 249 points lower at 1 point the dow was down 565 points and really this is all about the falling price of oil. that's what sparked the initial sell off oil prices are trading at 12-year low and supply is down. this is great news at the gas pump. national average well below $2 a gallon mark but it's bad for energy companies and hundreds of thousands of those who work tore them and that has rip -- work for them and that has ripple effect. >>i don't know how others are feeling but i am worried panicked about my 401k can. tell me i shouldn't be. >> reporter: you know what most analysts would say don't panic they would say hang tight. traders do think the market still has not bottomed out especially because oil prices
