and killed an 85-year-old priest. one of the attackers is -- who grew up in france and was radicalized last year. he was arrested under france's terrorism laws and was living at his parents' home with a gps tracker at the time of the attack. the man who tried to assassinate ronald reagan could be free. he has spent the past 35 years in a hinkley said he tried to kill the president to impress actress jodie foster. the judge ordered the man to continue mental health treatments and not talk to the media and is not allowed to google himself, weapons, porn, or his victims.

we have some video of some illinois police officers who are having fun with local kids. it's getting some praise but it's also getting criticism. >> this video is of officers in dixon taking part in a water fight with kids in a driveway. and you can see the officers and kids shooting each other with water guns and some said the video brought smiles to

could try to develop to morn massachusetts. i think the one computer model is a little too far south. this is going to be the highest risk area for seeing a scour or a storm tomorrow. otherwise, the story is the heat. mid-90s for most of the area. boston up to 85 degrees. it's the final day of the heat wave in the area. in terms of beach weather. 86 to 92 at and a high uv index, and clouds start to increase towards the afternoon time frame. and now we get to friday. it ends the heat wave. and the temperatures will be close to 80. and it will be humid so keep that in mind. we're watching the wave of low pressure moving off to the south. and it's meeting up with a front stalled out across the area. this is usually a really good recipe for very heavy rainfall. and during the morning, the

and wrapping up on friday nights. what is the saying? drought begets drought. in this case, we're feeling pretty good about heavy rainfall here. i think the setup is right. and this is one computer model and they're never perfect and it gives you an idea. and the highest rainfall -- i agree with that. and we could see localized totals, over 3 inches of rain. and that ul flooding on the roads. the lower rain totals should be lower massachusetts and new hampshire. unfortunately, that's the driest area when it comes to the current drought. we all need the rain and friday is a really good chance. and as we head to the weekend. dry, warm, nice saturday. and sunday we could see a few rain showers returning. saturday will be the pick of the weekend. and notice all the 80s. the 80s look good after all if
