we have 60s all over the place from the urban centers like boston at 73 up at worcester airport it's 70, in the city of providence 70. the skies have cleared everywhere. some high thin clouds may start to show up. streamers of them showing up. a few puffy inland clouds will take shape as well. the upper 80s today and sunny to partly cloudy both days and lower humid. more on the weather coming up. we begin with breaking news. there's been an arrest in the murder of two nuns. 46-year-old rodney earl sanders is facing two counts of capitol murder. he was a person of interest early on. after a lengthy interview last night it gave them enough to charge him. the sisters were found stabbed to death inside their home on thursday and police found their

they worked as nurse practitioners serving the poor and in times of crisis opened their home to neighbors. >> we had that hurricane katrina and nobody had gas so they let us use their kitchen and we cooked out of there and everything. >> a memorial mass for the nuns will be held monday in mississippi. from rockport. this is the man accused of attacking a woman. he's under arrest. police say he pushed her to the ground and try today rip off her clothes. it was local business owners who gave police the break they needed. officers in gloser were able to match the suspect to surveillance photos. that man is identified as 22-year-old angle castro. on wednesday night police say castro attacked a 50-year-old from behind knocking her to the

unable to so he fled taking off on a bike. witnesses told wbz they could hear that woman's screams and those screams may have saved her life. rockport police released this surveillance video of castro. police took him into custody yesterday. castro facing charges of assault with intent to commit rape and assault and battery on a disabled person. he will be arraigned on monday. new information on a developing story. three people were hurt when a pick up truck crashed into the square cafe on north street. crash investigators spent several hours on the scene. this morning police tell wbz the driver was not under the influence. they haven't said why 29-year-old jeffery mahoney drove into the front of the building. he's facing charges. two of those injured were customers inside the restaurant. the third was a passenger in

this morning a death investigation is under way in the small town of massachusetts border's with new hampshire where a man and woman were found dead in their front yard. police say this is a murder-suicide. now they want to know why. the bodies were found yesterday in ashby north of fitchburg. >> it's just awful. >> investigators spent hour s collecting evidence down at dead end rule in rural ashby where the bodies of a man and woman were discovered outside the result of an apparent murder-suicide according to the middlesex da. >> they were a nice couple. they were nice. >> neighbors said they lived there for 15 years but separated in recent years. >> they had problems just like everybody does. >> in this small town where everybody knows their neighbors

yesterday was a jackpot here. we got 11 degrees above the average. it is quiet clear that this august is going to turn out to be the warmest august on record here in boston, surpassing 1988, 2002, 2003 and 1944. that's the way it looks right now. with this august is the time of the year to not enjoy these various pollens and a lot of people have a tough time with ragweed and that's what we have going for us this year. we're right on the threshold of the high zone over the next few days. medium to high to into the high. that's why we have some sage brush in there. let's look at the temperatures right now. it's 73 in boston. it's 70 in worcester, 70 in providence. it's warmer than the out lying locations. in the low why lying spots the upper 50s. it's

canada. with these dew points that have dropped into the upper 50s now it's certainly a lot more pleasant than yesterday afternoon where it was sweltering humidity here. it's really, really sultry. that's been pushed to the south. we have dew points extending west, mid to upper 50s. that's what we'll have today and tomorrow. it's not going to jump up too quickly. it's not going to be super high humidity for the next several days. highs in the upper 80s exsettlement ex-- except for along the coast. coming in from the northeast and east at 10 to 15 miles per hour. we've got the highs across the nation in a lot of 90s. we have a ridge of high pressure that promotes this heat pump. it's continuing to be hot and sill try down there. issue -- sultry down there. we have that parcel of dry air for now. there will be a front

night and into monday. just a slight chance of a shower here. as far as the tropics go, this is low pressure being watched here. this is tropical storm gaston in the atlantic that's going to turn into a hurricane. it's currently at these positions here this morning. blah -- 65 miles per hour winds. slated to intensify into a hurricane as it moves out east of bermuda and takes a big turn out in the ocean. . -- ocean. so it will spare bermuda. today 78 to 80 degrees water temperatures are great. the water will be high this morning before 7:30 and again at 7:50 this evening. low at 1:30. there we go, the mid and upper 80s. wednesday may be back to 91. then a temporary break. crazy weather at the end of the week with showers and 77 on thursday and very, very cool and windy on friday, 70. then it recovers next weekend. by the end of the weekend back in the 80s again.

it's a killer whale, baby. >> a fisherman shot this video 12 miles off of chatham. they were looking for tuna but saw this killer whale. it's a shot that has marine biologists saying wow. >> you can a understand the excitement of these fisherman. it's not too often that you see orcas in these waters. they're a pod and probably looking for food, maybe skid. >> you know, generally with any kind of unusual animal movement we talk about it's most likely food. we don't know here. >> it's well documented that chatham's growing seal population has attracted great white sharks.

seal escaping a great white shark. they don't normally eat seals. they go after sharks but not in our waters. these guys off of chatham, just orcas being orcas. >> everyone knows that the ultimate predator in the ocean beyond people are actually a pod of orcas. the adults are considerably bigger than white sharks. they work cooperatively. they are the wolf packs of the ocean. >> canadian waters and likely all female, maybe one male or two in the mix. >> these fisherman were looking for tuna and got a real treat when they saw orcas. i'm bill shields, wbz news. a young mother shot in the streets.

forecast in just a few minutes. >> barry, thank you. we begin with breaking news. there's been an arrest in the murder of two nuns. 46-year-old rodney earl sanders is facing two counts of capitol murder. he was a person of interest early on. after a lengthy interview last night it gave them enough to charge him. the sisters were found stabbed to death inside their home on thursday and police found their stolen car less than a mile away. they worked as nurse practitioners serving the poor and in times of crisis opened their home to neighbors. >> we had that hurricane katrina and nobody had gas so they let us use their kitchen and we cooked out of there and everything. >> a memorial mass for the nuns will be held monday in mississippi. an update on breaking news from rockport. this is the man accused of attacking a woman.

her clothes. it was local business owners who gave police the break they needed. officers in gloser were able to match the suspect to surveillance photos. that man is identified as 22-year-old angle castro. on wednesday night police say castro attacked a 50-year-old from behind knocking her to the ground. that's when castro tried to remove her clothing but was unable to so he fled taking off on a bike. witnesses told wbz they could hear that woman's screams and those screams may have saved her life. rockport police released this surveillance videof yesterday. castro facing charges with assault with intent to commit rape and assault and battery on a disabled person. he will be arraigned on monday. new developments on a developing story. three people were hurt when a pick up truck crashed into the square cafe on north street. crash investigators spent several hours on the scene.

the driver was not under the influence. they haven't said why 29-year-old jeffery mahoney drove into the front of the building. he's facing charges. two of those injured were customers inside the restaurant. the third was a passenger in his truck. this morning a death investigation is under way in the small town of massachusetts border's with new hampshire where a man and woman were found dead in their front yard. police say this is a murder-suicide. now they want to know why. the bodies were found yesterday in ashby north of fitchburg. that's where julie loncheck picks up this story. >> it's just awful. >> investigators spent hour s collecting evidence down at dead end rule in rural ashby where the bodies of a man and woman were discovered outside on friday afternoon. the result of an apparent murder-suicide according to the middlesex da. >> they were a nice couple.

bridge. don't expect to drive through there. the fight over body cameras isn't over yet in boston. far from it. the police officers union is now suing to prevent the random selection of officers who will wear the new equipment. they said forcing officers to use it violates the collective bargaining treatment. -- agreement. the city and the officers signed off on the program only if officers volunteered. when that didn't happen a random consultant choose 100 officers to participate. there's now a $5,000 reward that leads police to the vandals who blew up a newspaper box salem. it's the box for an lgbt paper salem called the rainbow times. as many as 7 people were caught blowing it up on tuesday night.

to understand the patient from a personal and human perspective. i think that helps out a lot as well. >> i would say myself that having all this technology that we have here for instance in the u.s. but also have that people to people kind of connection right. the doctors with the patients , that would be just absolutely key. >> that's right. the doctor are just part of the community. they live in the same area of the patients and know the patients well. there's a t the cost that we spend, $3 trillion on healthcare in the united states cuba spends like 1/20 of that cost but their health out comes according to the world health organization is just as good as ours. that's something that we can learn from them. >> what do you want people to get out of this after they watch this documentary? >> what i really want is to raise awareness about a new approach to medicine and raise awareness about this program. if you really want to become a doctor and
