breaking right now, charged with upskirting, what this man was taking pictures of at a local store. the search for a missing swimmer suspended and weather made the rescue and possible. hands-free behind the wheel when self driving cars will be hitting our city streets. live from the channel four studios in boston, this is wbz news at 11:00. breaking now at 11, any hope of finding a stormy weather forced the rescuers to call off the search. a 26-year-old man was boating with friends when he jumped into the water but never resurfaced. wbz's louisa moeller is live in plymouth where crews have to return tomorrow morning. louisa? >> reporter: david and and lisa, the man's friend threw him a life jacket but sadly it wasn't any help.

pond in plymouth thursday afternoon as the search for a missing swimmer turned into a recovery mission. >> first responders say three people were out in a boat, two of them swimming when wind gusts blew the boat away. a 26-year-old man was unable to make it back to the boat or the shore. >> helped one other person get out of the water. dropped the movie there so they know where the starting point would be for the search. the scene. they scoured the surface of the water and the edges of the lake. facing a unique set of challenges. >> over 100-foot where they are at right now. it's all mucky down below. it's very hard for visibility don't be later. >> reporter: a chopper searched for the sky. with no sign of the swimmer. thunderstorms and pouring rain brought the search to a halt. after the boats came out only a

to comfort the missing man's loved ones. >> you've got to feel for the people, the parents. i feel bad for him. i hope they can get some closure. >> reporter: crews will restart their search tomorrow morning. this time they will be using sonar equipment. live in plymouth, louisa moeller, wbz news. scattered storms, wind and downpours moving out of the area tonight after almost hitting a record high temperature toas are in for a very big change. chief meteorologist eric fisher is here with the details. >> you feel the change in the air already. temperatures starting to dial back after hitting 90 in boston. now 65, 50s moving down across southern new hampshire and the biggest change, the humidity going away. dew points into the 40s and 50s. so that crisp autumn feel is going to be back in the air when you wake up tomorrow morning. still pretty gusty outside behind that front, with disgusting sis 33 on nantucket.

northeasterly tomorrow. keeping coastal communities cooler. at the bus stop upper 40s to low 50s. bright sunshine but not a lot of warming. high near 70 means many of us will be 20 degrees cooler on thursday. a little warmer inland, coolest air right along the coastline. doesn't last for too long. another warm-up on the way and chance for weekend rain. wheel time that out in a few minutes. >> all right. thanks. police have arrested a man at a dollar tree store after he was woman's skirt at the dollar tree on broadway in malden, 29- year-old christopher molina is behind bars. he will be in court tomorrow. guns and money missing from a local police department. the lost evidence in braintree is now putting hundreds of criminal cases in jeopardy. tonight the mayor of braintree says this is deeply troubling. let's get right to julie loncich working in braintree tonight. >> reporter: the da's office is reviewing hundreds of cases.

now involved. because this audit didn't just find this evidence was missing. it found it was improperly stored, secured and recorded. >> i find the auditors report of unaccounted for items and poor record-keeping practices by the police department to be deeply troubling and unacceptable. >> reporter: those poor practices have steep consequences. hundreds of criminal drug cases are now in jeopardy and six of them have already been thrown out. like that of stephen o'brien the braintree man who allegedly tried to kidnap an infant from a store just last month. on wednesday a judge dismissed his unrelated drug case. by late afternoon braintree mayor joe sullivan released a 50 page month-long audit of the police department evidence room. its contents troubling. >> this audit makes clear that there were significant

of evidence like drugs and paraphernalia were missing. 60 firearms also missing. and more than $400,000 in seized cash gone. braintree officer susan's a party was in charge of the evidence room and its contents. in may she died of a self- inflicted gunshot wound according to her death certificate obtained by the patriot ledger. since then braintree police have recovered all but 12 of the missing guns including one weapon found inside th police also did recover some of that missing money. the mayor says new procedures and staffers are now in place here. live in braintree, julie loncich, wbz news. the key to finding a killer maybe his tattoos. they've been trying to track him down since they found his ex-girlfriend's body on monday morning. late today police released these pictures. emilio delarosa has tattoos of

name on his left arm. investigators say delarosa murdered wanda rosa in front of their 4-year-old son. delarosa may now be in new york city. the campaign 2016 health of the two leading presidential candidates, donald trump and hillary clinton are sharing some of their medical history. wbz's leah martin is in the studio with a look at those reports. >> reporter: clinton and trump say they are fit to serve as president. clinton dealing with pneumonia and also hyperthyroidism, trump is on cholesterol medication and aiming to lose 15 pounds. hillary clinton's dr. writing the 60-year-old is healthy and fit to serve as president of the united states. dr. lisa bardack added aside from clinton's current bout with pneumonia, her recent physical was normal and she is in excellent mental condition. the clinton campaign releasing

a little boy hit by a car is recovering in a boston hospital and witnesses tell police there was probably no way the driver could have stopped. the 2-year-old boy -- he was thrown by the impact into the woods. the 44-year-old driver in the bmw stopped immediately and cooperated with police. she isn't facing the charges. the boy was very verbal, emergency crews essay. he was flown to tufts medical and reportedly doing well incredibly he didn't even break any bones. one lane of route 9 is still closed at this late hour more than 12 hours after a crash in newton. paramedics took two people to the hospital with minor injuries after this wreck. the suv hit a utility pole and crews had to come in to secure those wires. the worcester man accused of pulling a machete on a driver near a school says he

threatened the other driver with that machete in a particularly nasty case of road rage. then punched the other driver in the face while his kids were in the car. rivera is being held without bail. trying to get a new lead on a cold case. this new billboard in boston hoping that will help them find susan carrasco. she was last seen leaving her job at logan airport on this day in 1992. the very next day police found her body. fire crews investigating the cause of this junkyard blaze in bridgewater. is the scene, dozens of cars were burned. in the fire. how about this? self driving cars in boston, the mayor telling us tonight that they are coming soon to a street near you. the city will launch a test study of driverless cars soon. some people say it will make picking up and delivering passengers easier. others say it is an accident waiting to happen. >> a lot of questions on it. not go to see a bunch of guys out in the road. but it's kind of one of these

even with our cool shot tonight and for tomorrow it just returns to average. warming right back up as we head to the weekend. right now getting cooler. i wouldn't say chilly yet. mainly in the 60s. seeing the blue shading starting to show up in southeastern canada. a sign of the changing seasons. a longsleeve day tomorrow, or at least a light jacket in the morning. upper 40s to middle 50s. breezy out of the northeast tomorrow morning. that will add extra chill. midday, the feel of her the 60s, just getting to 70. meanwhile it will be cooler at the coastline, most of the day spent in the 60s because of the wind off the water. speaking of the wind, still pretty dusty, tomorrow morning, we'll still have winds turning around to the northeast. as the day goes on especially later in the afternoon, the wind will subside. much calmer into tomorrow night. a few big night for baseball.

dry with a full moon on friday night. and then warm with a southwest breeze as the yanks come to town for the four game set. tomorrow night's moon is to look amazing, friday night rises at 6:59, full harvest moon. with clear skies after a picture-perfect day. high pressure in control here for the next couple. tomorrow sunshine, friday sunny as well, and then a little warmer still as we head into saturday. going to get more of a so 80 degrees. then we look to the approaching front. that brings in a chance for rain. split decision, saturday is your warmer, drier sunnier day. sunday, more clouds with humility on the way up. active front with scattered showers and thunderstorms. this is a fairly promising front. in drought, you don't really forecast rainfall but he does look like we will get at least some shower activity. this weekend, dry and warm on saturday.
