for several more hours much of the day perhaps as this investigation is just now beginning, but i can tell you just before 11:00 last night this was a chaotic fire fight in the street. in the end 2 boston police officers were shot. they're boat now in quote extremely critical condition. as of 2:30 this morning they were both in surgery at mass general. the suspect a 33-year odd man who lived on this street is dead. commissioner evans says this all began with a night at a residence at 136 gladstone. 2 male roommates were in an argument. when the initial officers arrived evans said they were met by a suspect with some sort of assault rifle. on the radio police heard shots were fired additional units responded. a nearby tactical unit arrived and a fire fight erupted. the commissioner says

over the controls in the cockpit before this crash here. that's according to ap sources. the student pilot was killed when the twin engine plane went down in front of a plant. the instructor was able to survive the crash and according to the ap he says the student argued in the air but he couldn't regain control of the plane. >> information indicates that this plane crash was intentional are still being investigated. a woman says someone broke into her car and stole her mother's ashes. parker says it happened monday night and the only thing missing from her jeep were her mother's ashes. >> they took out of the white container, they took the clear bag that had the ashes in it. so i think that it must have

of your forecast this morning and the big storely is hurricane nicole. >> category 4 impressive storm. impressive structure too. see the eye of nicole right now it's about 100 miles south, southwest of bermuda and it's going to continue its north, northwest progress here. they've already been feeling tropical storm wind gusts for several hours. the peak gust i just saw at the airport was 58 miles per hour far. it will probably make a pass right on the east side of the island. they're talking surge, heavy rain, isolated tornados as bermuda is under the gun over the next several hours with nicole. it's going to sail out to sea and weaken over the course of the next several days. at home our weather is quiet. most of us 5 to 10 degrees milder than we've been the past couple of mornings.
