in temperature and increase in dew points the fog that's a good formula for it to stay for quite some time. wave couple showers showing up as well especially once you get farther to the north and west of boston. and that all lifting to the north along that warm front with but a cold front sitting back to our west. that's a lot of rain heading this way. we could see 1 to 3 inches of accumulation as we get into later saturday. visibility reduced to under a quarter of a mile from worcester b the numbers keep changing all morning. temperatures now warming into the 60s especially along the south coast and that warming trend continues through the lunch hour and the drive home. 72 degrees humid with heavy rainfall. so you want the rain gear especially the first half of the weekend too. big changes on the way with wind and colder temperatures. i'll have the details in just a bit. live look at the ex are expressway. i want to tell you

hov lane is blocked in milton after exit 11. so if you take that to try and save time on traffic it is shut down right now. we will keep our eye on it and let you know when that changes. police are searching for the driver of a car right here, that crashed into a home around 2:00 this morning. police say they're not sure who or how many people are were inside when the car ran into the home at 35 wilson street. inside the house. a building inspect is being notified to survey the damage. a woman missing for more than a day found safe in a swamp. the 45-year old was carried out of the woods and into an ambulance early this morning. she was taken to the hospital and is said to be in good health. police and k-9 units spent hours searching the woods near her home. >> it was a good outcome for us.

the k-9 unit who ultimately was responsible for finding her. we're very very appreciative. >> she hasn't been seen since early wednesday morning. police are still investigating how she ended up in the woods. there will be extra patrols in lawrence today following a terrifying tack. >> her alleged attacker was wearing a gps monitoring device at the time. we're live in lawrence. >> reporter: very disturbing case here. it was along this street where that young middle school student was walking to school when she was kidnaped, pulled into a second floor apartment and raped. police say she was able to give a very detailed description of her alleged attacker and the inside of that apartment. and that they say, is what led them so quickly to the suspect. along the streets of lawrence a

here. >> when i found out what it was i was horrified. >> reporter: a young girl just 13 years old walking to school was attacked and grabbed from behind. >> the victim reports having been forcibly dragged from the street into a second floor apartment. >> reporter: inside the unthinkable, police say she was raped and sexually assaulted for more than 2 hours. >> this is unbelievable. it's just deplorable that someone could do that released her with the threat of not telling police. the young girl called her mother who then called authorities. . >> the amount of detail that was provided by this 13-year old child was enormous and critical in this investigation. >> reporter: it led police to 21-year old mateo. a neighbor took this photo of his arrest. he was wearing an ankle bracelet for a pretrial probation case but police say he was not a sex offender.

circumstances around it it's not random. >> reporter: authorities believe there is no long ear threat to this community and they'll see to it that those here feel safe. mateo is expected to be arraigned in court today. in the meantime we're told there will be extra patrols in the area in the neighborhood as well as at the school, all of this in an effort to make parents and students feel safe. . because i heard gunshots able felt all the power. it pushed me to the side and i dropped down. >> a teenager speaking out after he was hit by a stray bullet in his bedroom and this morning a man is under arrest in connection with the case and due in court. we're live in chelsea this morning with that boy's story. >> reporter: police arrested garcia a 19-year old in connection with the shooting that led to a stray bullet

downpours. saturday morning starting off with areas of fog again but not necessarily the areas of rainfall until we get another push here saturday evening and that means we could also see a little bit of cold air funnelly in higher elevations likely to see snowflakes falling and looks like accumulation too be believe it or not. flurries expected in the higher spots here and light accumulation farther to the north where we could see 1 to 3 inches of snow accumulation for us we're dealing with a rain we could see 1 to 3 inches of rain widespread with isolated spots, 3 inches or more. and the visibility right now half mile or less in some spots although improving conditions along the south shore in some spots but as we all know fog can change quickly from time to time. temperatures have increased to 62 degrees in boston right now, 67 in taunton as we get a surge of warmth from that warm front as it lifts to the north today.
