vivacious husky was the victim of animal abuse on monday night. a witness capturing this cell phone video of the husky and its owner at north station. the witness told police he saw the man punch and hit the dog, neil on it. and lift it completely off the ground by its leash. they arrested him for animal cruelty. >> a beautifu but love and respect since she's come to the shelter. >> they named her sara and brought her to the shelter where she'll undergo tests. >> she is limping somewhat and it may be from last night. we'll be doing a full body -- >> now in the custody of the

the case. >> reporter: bowen is a level three sex offender according to the state sex offender registry. and he's also listed as homeless. louisa moller, wbz news. state police have identified all five people killed in a wrongway crash in middleborough. the 31-year-old was driving south in the northbound lanes when she crashed into a car with four young men headed back to college. they were all killed. it's not clear why she was going the wrong way. a man is accused of killing his father with a knife and a hammer. a judge ordered alex anderson held without bail. police found paul anderson critically injured and he later

a school bus packed with children goes off the road and crashes into that house. >> a number of students on the bus and the bus driver were injured. let's get out to paul burton. the bus is up against the side of the home. it's in the process of being towed away. it's amazing that no one was seriously injured or killed. police are trying to determine emergency. what caused him to crash with all of those children on board. >> reporter: a utility pole snapped in two. at the end of the trail of damage, a bus carrying 34 students hit is side of the bus. five students had to be taken to the hospital.

dad's arms? >> i'm really happy. >> tuesday morning, students were on their way home and for some reason, the bus driver went out of control, clipped an suv, and smashed into the side of the home. >> it started smelling like fire and we felt like screaming. >> reporter: the damage can be fixed and she's students are all okay. everything is shaken up like bookcases and lamps. >> the bus driver was taken to quincy medical but police are investigating what caused the driver to lose control. >> they'll do a complete re- instruction and make that determination. >> many are still without power

the area. we're running above average. everything we've got upper 30s to middle 40s. you see mount washington where it's 14 degrees. and they do observations every hour on the hour. the colder air is pointed right at new england and it's going to stay that way over the next couple of days. a wind chill of 40 in boston. at times, the wind chill will move into the 20s. we have that storm in eastern canada bringing in the wind and the wind stays with us. and breezy tomorrow. and then the next storm system is going to arrive on thursday afternoon. up until then it's all about the chill. partly cloudy, cold and breezy tonight. and overnight lows 28 to 34. and boston in the city should hit 38 degrees.

mayor fall. freeze warns except for the south shore, the cape and the islands. and then farther north and west and also at northern bristol county. they've had a freeze. we have that northwesterly breeze tomorrow. and a little bitter isier and a little less wind as well. maybe a light shower tomorrow night, the sun goes down and it will get cold fast. highs in the mid- to upper 40s and a few towns might touch 50 so similar to today. and tomorrow night we're well back in the 20s. we night see low to mid-20s. then we head into thursday. and the clouds will thicken up in the morning. and by the arm, the storm
