. live from the channel 4 studios in boston. this is wbz news at noon. right now at noon a suspicious death in lawrence under investigation. police say a 62-year-old woman was found dead outside her apartment. authorities are trying to figure out how the woman died. lawrence with more on the efforts. >> reporter: chris, we are on the backside of this apartment building. this is where the crime scene is. you can see where police have cleared the leaves away. this is where she lived. police have been in and out of this building this morning, and they've been all around the apartment complex. >>it's a very tragic story, and

good heart that we don't know what really went wrong. >> reporter: relatives of 62-year-old justina rosa say she was headed home here in lawrence after a visit with a family member. she never made it. her body was discovered outside the complex tuesday morning. >>we don't know if it was an attack or -- that's why we want to get some closure, because right now it sounds like a mystery. >> reporter: crews clearing leaves around the cr ground. >>i remember the good times. >> reporter: rosa's family remembering her as a mother figure to all who knew her. >>she didn't have no grudges. she tried to fix everything. she baby-sit 24 hours. >>right now we're just in shock, in shock, such a great lady with a great heart. >> reporter: relatives tell us

her body was in when she was discovered. they don't know if she was robbed. the medical examiner office is handling the autopsy today. in lawrence christina hague e wbz news. breaking news the man wanted for the deadly ambush of two iowa police officers just captured. >>brianna pits joins us with the latest information. >> reporter: the arrest comes after an hours long man hunt. police say scott michael greene shot one officer police car earlier this morning. just 20 minutes later police say he shot and killed another officer just 2 miles from the first scene. schools in the area were shut down as police searched for greene who they say has a history of confrontation with police. the community is devastated over the attacks. >>des moines is not a big city. we all know each other, so i mean, we're heartbroken. >> reporter: police say greene was arrested just miles away from the scene. so far they

the shootings, kate. >>thank you. also developing right now cleanup under way in westford where a train went off the tracks. one of the cars was carrying cleaning solution. anna joins us with details. >> reporter: kate crews have been here all morning using the large crane to try to turn the white tanker upright. that white tanker is full of chemicals so fi also standing by just to make sure none of the chemicals spill. hazmat crews responded to this neighborhood tuesday night after 6 freight cars derailed including a tanker carrying a potentially flammable solution. >>it was just a boom sound. >> reporter: neighbors received a robo call warning they may have to evacuate. >>i was getting concerned because you don't know what's in

fortunately there was not a spill and neighbors were able to stay in their homes. >>there was no release to the environment. the tank is in tact which is very important. >> reporter: crews are using a crane to get the derailed cars back on the track. fire officials are standing by workers maneuver the tanker full of chemicals. this is the second derailment in this area in the last two years. the chief says that's inexcusable. >>it's did i the middle -- disconcerning to get a phone call in the middle of the night saying you may need to evacuate. they need to let us know why it happened and what they're going to do to make sure it doesn't happen again. >> reporter: they're investigating the cause of the derailment. >>that's the second time, so don't you think they should do something about it, especially with the families around here and small children. >> reporter: taking a live look you can see that the rails are

results. police have just released the 911 calls from a 70-year- old woman who was tied up in a home invasion. nicole is live with the latest on this. >> reporter: the police chief says they could be looking for yet a second vehicle. they've pulled surveillance video from various cameras throughout the town, but still he says they are looking for the one clue that leads them to the susp. >> reporter: a 911 call early tuesday put sterling police on alert. >>i have been robbed by three men, and they have taken off with my 2004 black cadillac. >> reporter: more than 24 hours later. >>we have not made an arrest in this case. >> reporter: and that's unsettling for residents after a violent home invasion. >>it's scary. >> reporter: along stephanie

the storage facility caught fire last week and with just a month to go 70% of the donations are gone. >>it's not insurmountable. we'll get it done. there'll be 800 kids across the street in that gym on december 11th with horseback rides and ponies and petting zoos and they'll have their christmas. >>the cape cod cooperative bank put donation boxes in all its branches and set up cash donations. restaurants are making the grade this morning. the mayor handed out the first restaurant letter grade. stash pizza on blue hill avenue got an a. the move the mayor hopes will encourage the restaurants to put out a top-quality product. >>at first we got a little concerned about what it would do for believe sos in our city,

people go into good, clean establishments. >>if a restaurant receives a lower grade they will be given 30 days to make inspections. a second inspection will take place and the second grade will be posted. a new tolling seems to be helping drivers get to their places quicker. drivers have made it 10 minutes faster the same time last week and the drive from weston was about 5 minutes faster as well. this video shows crews taking down pieces at the ted williams tunnel. there are still 23 work zones on the pike running 24 hours a day but the agency says they've already removed 85 of the 155 old tollbooths. >>got to give them credit. >>keep going. all right.

now. i've seen a lot of weather watcher comments saying what are we skipping over winter? it feels like spring out there. 63 in boston, no complaints about that from us. same in fal muth and chatham, 63 degrees in worcester, same in nashville, 63 in lawrence. mid 50s in concord, 55 in springfield and 60 in north adams right now. lower 60s when you compare that to the country and there's a lot of warmth. we're pushing near 80 right now from st. louis to nashville. we're in the 80s along the gulf coast. you notice the big change? much colder air in the northern plains, so we get back into this as we head into the end of the week. until then we're enjoying the sunshine, although it's been filtered by some high clouds. and we'll get a few building clouds through the afternoon.

michigan here out of southern wisconsin, and that's the front that's going to approach tomorrow and bring us the threat for wet weather thursday. until then, enjoy the rest of today. tonight will be quiet, not cold, just like this morning, 54 although some of the coolest areas may dip into the upper 50s. highs tomorrow come into the 60s but it depends on where you are. notice the farther north you go it's cooler, so lawre portsmouth, boston should be in the low 60s but you get south of the pike and that's where we punch into some of the warmth and that's where we may be close to 70, norwood and taunten, down to providence. let's time out the wet weather. morning communicate should be fine. midday is okay, rain, though, pushing through a lot of maine,

afternoon, 1:00, 2:00, downpours through early to midafternoon, particularly from the merrimack valley along through the route 2 corridor. 4:00 p.m. a lot of us drying ought a little bit. the south shore and the cape don't get into a ton of rain. there may somebody leftover showers and that's pretty much it. we get partial clearing after that. how much rain is going to fall? it's not a to maybe a quarter of an inch. do you see the blues to the north, that's where we say see around an inch of rain, generally about a 10th maybe a quarter of an inch. and then the blast of cold air comes in. so friday will be sunny but chilly, highs in the upper 40s, year secondary cold front comes in. don't forget we turn the clocks back 2:00 a.m. sunday and the weather looks quiet
