these will be your high temperatures today, around 53 to 55 degrees should do it in most spots and it looks like the rest of the nation is looking really nice. a lot of 60s out here. man, this is pretty nice here for the 5th day of november. and we're going to have temperatures in the 60s here for election day coming up on tuesday. here's the weather map, and the mild weather in the middle part of the nation, the high pressure really is governing most of the country at the present time. we do have this weak front coming down out of canada and that will bring some snow showers in the far northern mountains so we're looking at the clouds for today from time to time. there'll be clouds covering the sky, other times the sun will be out nice and bright, but most of the cloud cover, it looks like it's going to be across northern new england during the day, and we'll see some down here and overnight tonight will be partly to mostly cloudy and much milder tonight than it is right now. tomorrow an upper level system is coming on through, may kick off a couple of scattered showers, but for the most part i think most of the showers are going to be taking place over

here, especially in the afternoon, but just light showers, nothing really important out of those that would be just about it. so the low temperatures tonight will be closer to 40, and then the high temperatures tomorrow will be right around the upper 40s to near 50 degrees. so it will be just a little bit cooler tomorrow. 49 or 50 should do it. remember tonight is the night, oh, yeah, tonight's the night, you gotta turn those clocks back one hour. that means the sunrise tomorrow will be at 6:24 and at 4:31, car kerry. take a look at the next seven days, looks like 54 today and a couple 49s for sunday and monday, and then we jump to 64 for election day, nice day to get out and vote and then for showers likely on wednesday morning and very windy in the afternoon, breezy on thursday and more showers coming back on friday. that's your forecast. kerry. >> i hate that darkness at 4:30, barry. >> it's bad, bad, bad. >> it's the worse. i know. thank you, barry. 5:17 right now.

5:43 am
this morning. not too far away at the stanley elementary school it's 30 and out in suddenbury at the willow hills school, it's 25 this morning. so it's a cold one for sure. in fact, temperatures running 10 to as many as 20 degrees below what they were at this time yesterday morning. so it's very cold out there. there's hardly any wind, though, so that's the saving grace, but because there's no wind and the skies are essentially clear, it's helping to radiate things out quite quickly. some readings in new england up in the 20s too, but up there down at the summit of mount washington, heavy snow falling right now, it's a snow shower, but it's coming down pretty hard at the mount washington observatory right now. in southern new england we have essentially clear skies, all in the 20s, as you can see, except downtown boston, logan airport, anyway, 36 degrees. it's a little bit milder on the outer part of the cape with the lower 40s there. here's what's going on with today, we've got some clouds coming in from the northwest. we're starting clear now, but the clouds will come in. the breeze will pick up a little bit, but it's not going

a penetrating breeze at times. the wind will be running up to 5 to 15 miles an hour. temperatures by 10:30 this morning mid-40s. and then we go to the upper 40s, and this afternoon it will be around 53 or 54 degrees. most of the sprinkles over the mountains, some of those snow showers will stay up there. and we will be seeing varying amounts of clouds tonight. temperatures fall down, but not nearly as much as last night because of the presence of clouds from time to time. so i think we're only going to go down to about 40 for an average low by early tomorrow 43 in boston, but many of the suburbs 38 to about 42. then we rise up not quite as high as today. we'll have lots of clouds tomorrow. there'll be some breaks of sunshine. there's a chance of a passing sprinkle, a light shower around as an upper level system comes on through here. so that's the deal for tomorrow. today's highs across most of the nation, it's going to be really pretty nice, mild weather governing a good chunk of the country and not much going on from coast to coast. we have this weak weather front
5:45 am
cloudiness from time to time. now, looking at the weather map over the next few days, here we have the cool air coming down now as you see that northwest flow. and then it starts to warm up a little bit as we get along about tuesday. as this system that's coming through this weekend dives into the atlantic, it's going to get a pretty big ocean storm going, but it's far enough away, but will create more cloudiness on the coast tomorrow. then we have a chunk of mild air building up here mid week, at the same time we have another disturbance coming down to give us a couple of showers here on wednesday. here's my accuweather forecast 54 for a high today, upper 40s to almost 50 tomorrow, and monday as well. and we're looking at -- we should be sunnier on monday, except lingering clouds on the cape monday morning. and then tuesday for election day, sunshine for the most part, warming up to about 64, nice day. showers around here wednesday morning, gusty wind in the afternoon, 50 to 35 miles an hour. breezy and nice on thursday and a few more showers on friday.
